So partway into making this video, I discovered Yen Press lost the rights to W.I.T.C.H., meaning there's now no way to purchase the ebook version of the comics. I'd already bought the first arc way back when thankfully, but if the panels of the later arcs don't look as good, that's why lmfao

The fact Disney decided not to bother renewing Yen Press's liscense to distribute the comics halfway through the penultimate arc, SO CLOSE TO THE FINISH LINE. This franchise cannot catch a break

It's the shame there's no third Season of W.I.T.C.H. because back in Season 2 in "U is for Undivided" we learn why Hay Lin and Cornelia were chosen to be guardian of Air and Earth by the oracle but never explained by Will, Irma and Taranee why their choesn to be guardians exccept for a hint for the next Season which never happened.

The comics sort of explained that Will was chosen because she was born under the star of Cassidy. One of the original main writers for the comics also mentioned that all of the keepers of the Heart are born under a constellation that is visible only to them. Literally the reason for Will is, well, it was her destiny.
Without a 3rd season, we were robbed of Orube joining the team. Kelly Hu would have been perfectly casted as this young, arrogant warrior

They added more male characters and made them more prominent toward the end of Gen 4 and then added a male character to the main group for Gen 5. Neither of those choices was any good at all.
Honestly the voices from the show are so ingrained in my brain as how the characters sound that if I'm reading the comics, I can hear their voices saying the lines.
I heard a rumor about Disney+ making a live action show of w.i.t.c.h and i hope its just a rumor cause we all want an animated 3rd season

Q: How will the fairy forms work if you make Winx live action?
A: We just won't have the magical girls transform into magical girls.
Q: How will we make air bending look cool in the live action Avatar when air is sort of, you know, transparent IRL?
A: all the air is just really dusty.
Q: how will we make the action in a live-action Kim Possible look good like the cartoon?
A: we won't, we just won't.
So, with those examples of animated to live action conversation, I think it's safe to say that a live action W.I.T.C.H. show will have no transformation, the elemental powers will suck, and any action scenes will be clunky CGI nightmare fuel.
P.S. sorry if this is coming off really aggressive, I'm just suddenly realizing in real time how truly awful a live action remake would be and might not be taking it well.

This arc is definitely a product of its time. The characters’ ableist attitudes are definitely reflective of how people in real life felt toward disabled people at the time and that’s really sad. I’m glad we have progressed as society and are a lot kinder to disabled people.

I agree with the first half, but ngl I don't feel like the second half is that true. We're only slightly kinder to disabled people, and there's still rampant ableism EVERYWHERE. We're making slow progress.

W.I.T.C.H. is that one series that's incredibly nostalgic for me, very near and dear to my heart, and even though I discovered the show first and got the comics later(I was even subscribed to them), I definitely prefer the comics. I haven't read or watched either version in years, but the comics is what I look back on most fondly. I adore the artstyle so much, the illustrations are just gorgeous, and the more down to earth side plots gave it a more urban fantasy vibe. I think it's what created by craving for character focused fantasy stories with a modern day setting, or at least partly modern day. Parts of it still lingers in my mind, like when a somber Cornelia walks home while transformed, meets a homeless man trying to sleep on a bench and makes a small house of plants for him and he asks if she's a fairy/guardian angel, which she doesn't give a straight answer to. It felt like such a whimsical scene to my young self. The parts in the beginning when the girls powers start emerging in odd or sudden ways. Will cycling by a shop window and when she looks into it she sees her transformed self looking back at her is etched into my mind permanently. Do agree it was lame as hell that only Hay Lin could fly though.
The show meanwhile felt more... generic, at least in S1 which I have the most experience with. The focus taken away from the girls, the weird writing that put me off back then and now makes me think "oh this was either written by or given the final pass by a man", not having Elyon be an antagonist at the beginning which I thought was so cool, their powers being less varied. The artstyle that I never really vibed with. Also real nitpick but I hate how they draw the girls with lipstick while they're transformed, it rarely looks good in animation and here it just looks kinda yuck. Overall it's one of those "I recognise that this version is better written and more interesting, but I do not care and still like the other version more, have a good one" situations.
That take on the comics being more of an urban fantasy makes a lot of sense, actually. Makes me appreciate them more, and also explains why I take more to the high fantasy of the show. Still, the comics do feel a lot cozier and mysterious. Love their vibe.

@shawnbehrens2294 high fantasy is a world run by magic, (which often manifests in a medical setting) Urban Fantasy is fantasy in an urban setting, which can technically also be high fantasy, but is usually paired with low fantasy (the opposite of high fantasy, only has small magical elements)

You know the muddy art style actually helps the show as it makes it feel gothic and still looks amazing also they should have gave them new designs in season two like the outfits could have been based off dragons and use Chinese dragons to fight

Greg Weissman actually posted years ago about plans for s3 and even s4, but those have been drowned in the internet over the years.
From what I remember (This could very well be wrong, it's been years), arc 3 was going to be split into both seasons (With a bit of arc 4 for good measure), with s3 dealing with the magical investigators and how they affect the girl's lives, family, friends, etc... (Weissman worked on MIB The Series and later went on to work on Ben 10 the same year Witch got canceled, and introduced the Forever Knights there, so think of the investigators like that) with Taranee taking her sabbatical to keep her family safe, and would've ended with Susan and Dean's engagement mixed with the reveal of the girl's powers.
s4 otoh, was going to deal with the fallout of the reveal and a magical civil war between Kandrakar Loyalist worlds and those who wanted to remove the council from power as they view themselves as self-sufficient and not in need of Kandraker's rule. This would've been led by Ari and later Nerissa who he'd help free. It also would've ended with Susan and Dean's wedding and reveal that Will's gonna be a big sister.
They didn't plan anything after that, the comics were only partway through arc 4 and the show got cancelled after s4 was mapped out. (Also, they had ~1/2 the scripts done for s3 by the time the hammer came down)
Again, this could be wildly off, the post was years ago, but that's what I remember in general.
I vaguely remember reading that S3 was actually going to be taking a few creative liberties as well. In the comics, Raphael Sylla is *trying* to figure out if events surrounding the girls are supernatural and if there is just something off about them, but for the cartoon, they had planned to have him already *know* that the girls were guardians. He was also supposed to be the big bad of the season, while his role in the comics was pretty small.
What I'd like to see is a complete reboot of WITCH, a cartoon that has the darker storyline and world building of the comics but keeps the things that made the cartoon so good.
I wish that instead it showed the Dad wanted to communicated with his child and that Tarnee's frustration with wanting her eyesight being healed being linked to the pre-verbal child and how it is important to adapt to people's needs instead of shaming them for it
I hated that they couldn't fly in comics at firsts except Hay Lin. They had wings! And Caleb breaking up with Cornelia because she was younger and looked also much younger and ending up with Elyon was so fetched. Meridian Queen looked much younger than his ex girfriend!

As a little child I didn't like W.i.t.c.h that much but as the years have passed I have grown to appreciate it more.I have read the first comics but honestly I love the show so much more.I also agree W.i.t.c.h was killed before it's time.They could've atleast adapted the third arc for all the fans who were waiting for the next season.The characters are interesting,the story is great especially in the 2nd season!
I wish this show could've continuing to exist alongside winx(my favourite magical girl show).Disney should be blamed for all this mess not winx...
Orube also has a romantic fling with Cedric later on, and it isn't even one-sided, the two genuinely love one another. That would've been fun to see in the series.
Its the way I need that arc animated and injectected into my veins fr its SO. GOOD.
Not to mention Cedric's redemption arc in the comics. But I feel that wouldn't have worked too well in the cartoon. Cartoon Cedric was just too far gone to be redeemed and didn't he actually die at the end?
Orube turns the acronym from WITCH to WIOCH and that just reminds me so much of the Trix in the 4Kids dub lol (wee-atch)

I have few ideas to make season 3 perfect:
- Irma should temporarily leave the team instead of Taranee. Her replacement will be Cassidy, who also became a new classmate for the Guardians. As she was deceased for many years, Cassidy has problems with all these technologies and other modern stuff.
- Ari, with the help of Yua, freezes Arkhanta’s rulers in large amber, and becomes the king. He also sometimes attacks Meridian, so Oracle decides that Ari - is new Phobos and creates a Veil once again.
- During one of battles with Guardians, Ari sends them into Basiliade, where they meet Orube. She helps them to find a way out and return to Kandrakar. Like Caleb, Orube will visit Heatherfield many times.
- Guardians will also meet God-Protector of Arkhanta, who reveals the truth about Maqi: actually the boy is his grandson, as his daughter falls for Ari and asked him to make her a mortal woman. Maqi’s “illness” actually is the “spirit lock” in his soul, as his powers are very strong, and when the time comes, Maqi will master his inner magic.
- They also confront banshees and their queen, Euphemia. She reveals that the people of Arkhanta and banshees are in peace, thanks to God-Protector. She also tells them about Yua: she’s the most evil banshee, who was constantly tried to overthrow her. When she disappeared, banshees were happy, but, now, to her horror, Euphemia realises Yua’s true plan: she let Ari to capture her, so Yua could use his hate and anger to make herself stronger.
- As the result, Yua got enough power to brainwash all people of Arkhanta and start her invasion to Earth. Guardians and Orube come to stop her army.
Yeah, Yua is the main antagonist of this arc, instead of Ari.
- While Guardians were on their mission, Irma met water shadows. During this time, she also becomes best friends with Uriah and Grumper sisters, starts to think about dating Martin, and questions herself about her w.i.t.c.h. friends. Later she confronts their new teacher Raphael Sylla and his telepathic boss, Mr. Riddle.
- Medina and McTiennan discover Kandrakar. To not lose all their memories, they are forced to ally with the Oracle.
- While the invasion Sylla goes against Riddle.
- In order to protect everybody from Yua, God-Protector gives his last magic powers to his grandson. As the result, Maqi defeats Yua and frees Arkhanta from her influence.
- Cassidy leaves the team to continue her life, and Irma returns to the Guardians.
- No Astral Drops storyline, leave that to season 4.
- Ari admits his crimes and leaves his village as the punishment.
- During the last scene, he is working on the field, but his work was interrupted by butterfly. Ari sees the spirit of his wife, who smiles to him. Butterfly flies away and Ari happily looks at the sky.
In all honesty, I love the show way more than the comics and genuinely liked the animated designs even though it wasn't everyone's cup of tea. I felt like the characters were more compelling, and I loved Caleb and Cornelia's relationship throughout the show. I deffo would've loved a season 3 because it felt like there was still so many unanswered questions. I would've loved to see the previous guardians like Halinor, Kadma and Cassidy connect more with the guardians of their elements. it woud've been so interesting to see them interact, especially since Cassidy was bought back to life. I think the show's team did a fantastic job, and I honestly wish it didn't get cancelled the way that it did.
10:04 fun fact: it was confirmed by Greg Weismen that Nerissa is not only bisexual but her and Cassidy were actually dating. But it makes this scene all the more heartbreak upon retrospection.

wait GREG WEISMEN? the same greg weismen who was in charge of spectacular spiderman and young justice was a part of this show? dang that guy is 3 for 3 in creating shows that lasted two seasons, built a lot of momentum and the story got super interesting only to get cancelled on him.

I was honestly interested to see them tackle the plot of the Guardians’ families finding out what they’ve been doing, I wanted to see how each family member would react.
I'd love to see you make a list of things you'd like to see from the Winx reboot (comic arcs, fixing story issues, etc.). Plus I need to get back into W.I.T.C.H. I could never get into it as a kid.

I remember reading the graphic novels, and at the back it had little character notes, and it, as you mentioned, said hay-lin was the only one who could fly and i was just so confused because it was so unclear in the comic itself, i deffinatly agree with your point if they didnt want that confusion in the comics they shouldnt give them all wings and maybe make them more visually distinct within the elements they represent
I love how in the show all the guardians can fly, how Nerissa is more conniving & dangerous, the romance between Caleb and Cornelia and the return of the original guardians (C.H.Y.K.N) - those battles between the OG guardians and W.I.T.C.H. were so epic! ❤️🔥😭🙏🏻✨
In the New Power arc of the comics, the girls receive an upgrade that allows all of them to fly.
I would have loved to have seen that in the series.

I am italian and the generation that liked W.i.t.c.h., Winx, etc. There are many, many good comics that they did during those years.
One I can recomend to read and it is one of my favourite is a version of Donald Duck as superhero, here really popular, PKNA paperinik new adventure. Don't be taken back by Donald Duck, is REEEEAALLY.
PS to be fair, here boys have no shame in saying that w.i.t.c.h. was good, they liked them too. They always preferred it over Winx, but still... XD

Sylla used to be Partners with Madina and MacTanent, but he was transfered to another department where he started working with Mr. Riddle, while Madina and MacTanent stayed behind working under Mrs Friese [Not to be confused with Nora Friez from BTAS].
what i really want the show to explore season 3 is Cordelia and the rest of the girls finding out why they were chose to become guardian's, them controlling their element forms having it for more screen time into fights.
Maybe will going through the same path as nerissa season 2. It was hinted that the main characters was comparing her to nerissa. Her showing her side as control freak. Maybe the villains doing a experiment on her to the point her negative side take over her. I would love to explore more of that. And Elyon and her new soilders finding a new purpose in their own arc. Many things to work with.
I would also love for them to add more people that wield magic like earth is starting to have magic exist and people use the magic for bad choices. And the guardians breaking spells. Or doing 1v1 in a match. Season 2 shown that guardians can be evil too. I want to see more of that. Or them going into dark missions and going into a realm and destroying a dimension.
I remember enjoying the comics, but I was mostly reading them as a preteen via internet archives years after they stopped being printed. I liked that there was more diversity of body types in the comics, and i was obsessed with the art style. Series three was definitely the messiest, but I'm still quite nostalgic for the comics because it was one of the first niche fandoms I ever participated in. I've never rewatched the show, in part because I was so frustrated with the abrupt cancellation, but I have gone back and reread the comics many time

I don't think the comics ever could have ever been properly adapted into a show at the time, especially due to Disney's 4 season rule back then (which has since been abandoned with Bunk'd and Raven's Home breaking that rule)

I remember witch during my high school days.
Every month I would wait for the book to come out and that's the first thing i would get from my allowance.
I had every issue from 1 to 30 something. But then I had to move and my record broke.
Irma was, and still is, my favorite among all the Witches. She's sassy and cool, with a good sense of humor.
I couldn't get into the animated series because it felt so much different to what I imagined it when I read the comics.
The series deserved better. Way better than it ever did.
I really miss this show.
I read through a lot of the comics online back in the day but got burnt out somewhere along the way.
An idea for tying some of these storylines together might be having Riddle's telepathy reawaken the alteramere in Will's mind and having her remanifest, play with the whole, 'clone finding their place in the universe' thing, have her miss her/Will's mother and toy with having one of the parents find out about all the magic. They could even have her fill in for one of the other guardians depending how they handle that Taranee storyline.
Love to see you do one for each of the acrs of what we could see for possilbe season 4, 5, and 6.
That would be interesting also add the new powers arc.

They are re-releasing the comics this year.
Frankly, I completely agree with the theme that the Series is more collected and consistent. In the comics, it seems like the characters are hanging around the same place, even though they are in the TV series. The funny thing is that in the comics they could describe the detectives with Nora Frieder as relatively good people who understand that Silla and his bosses are idiots with Kondrakar.
As for the series, I would be funny to see a couple of things (a lot).
-Episode of Shadows in the Water.
-Detectives still uncover the secret of Elion Brown and, in desperation, turn to their boss for help.
-Boss of detectives - Nora Frieder (voice of Wendie Malick Roles from the Owl House) is even more cold and calculating and under certain conditions deadly for the guards (Kill the escaped Nerissa who tried to replace her?), but competent and at times able to empathize and respect the guards, which is not will cancel her intolerance towards members of Kondrakar as idiots.
-Will Vandom uses a couple of new abilities that help him, towards the middle of the season, easily defeat Riedl (which ultimately left him in the hospital for weeks with a bunch of fractures and memory loss)
-Orube as Tarani's temporary replacement and student at school. She also, out of ignorance or stupidity, literally throws Uriah into a basketball hoop.
This was a great video. I truly loved this series.
If they ever did make a season 3 that took place after seasons 1 and 2, that’d be super interesting but I’d also love a reboot. Then, the new show could have the comics and show intertwined in new ways that would bring in new fans, giving the story a rewrite instead of picking up where it left off. But a season 3 would also be awesome to see!
I’ll be honest, I’ve always preferred many aspects of the comics (not much of the later arcs but still) to the tv show but both are very good and enjoyable and the show did provide some cool and much needed changes throughout! I especially liked Nerissa’s character in the show! I agree with you that Ari’s arc is very messy and not the best, but I do have to disagree on two things, being that I actually like the Astral Drops’s parts and really love Orube. But other than that, yeah this arc is a bit of a mess. I would’ve loved to see what the show would do.
I’d adore a revival since the show had so much more story to tell! I really wish we could get some kind of new animated creation with W.I.T.C.H in the future.

This show was one of my first hyper fixations when I was a kid! I watched it alongside Avatar:TLA, and a part of me always wanted them to have some kind of crossover event. Excellent video, thank you for sharing!
I'll always prefer the comics over the show. There are some things I did prefer that the show better, like Matt and Mr. Huggles becoming Shagon and Khor, for example or all girls flying, Will's power being electricity, just to name a few. I just prefer the darker tones the comics have. Plus, the show tried to appeal to a male audience, hence the greater attention Caleb got, which wouldn't be too bad except that this show was primarily for girls. I know that merch sales are a thing, and it's what studios rely on for funding, and they figured that boys would more likely buy toys but look where that got them.
If that happened, they'll reboot somethings of the show.

Switching out a character is weird in this kind of situation. And the only acronym I could come up with that kinda works is I.O.W.C.H.

The last issue I got for W.I.T.C.H was the one with Riddle kidnapped the clone Will and I remember that it was dumb af. Damn I miss collecting these comics
I personally agree with a talking point you brought up during a commentary involving disability representation and magically healing characters. If it’s something that someone recently sustained and the writers are basically like “Oopsie! Control Z!” for an immediate fix, I don’t mind it as much. But when the disability is integral to that person’s journey and they’ve had to learn to live with it, that’s when I get upset about using magic to just reset them back to what’s considered “normal”.
As far as treating disabilities as a problem, I think there’s an extent to which they should be. I’m Autistic and deaf in one ear. Both of those have created problems both for myself and others. And I don’t think they should be glossed over as not being a problem whatsoever. I think there should be some admittance that living with a disability is difficult and it can sometimes be a frustration for others. Now, the portrayal in this show is disgusting in my opinion (as is a portrayal on the Disney show Jessie where a child with allergies was made out to be a total burden on everyone). There needs to be a balance of “This is the reality, and it comes with its own set of problems” with “Having a disability doesn’t make you any less valuable as a person”. I feel like there are plenty of shows that portray disabled characters really well by giving them a sense of agency. There was the Little Mermaid tv series with a deaf mermaid that spoke through sign language, there’s Star Wars Rebels where one of the jedi was blinded but still able to use the Force to guide him, and even Teen Titans had an incredible episode where Cyborg struggled with accepting his limitations due to his cybernetic limbs not being able to push beyond their design specs without his human side to push them. These characters struggled. They had to find unique work arounds to still function in a world with a disability and not let it define them.
And as one final example that doesn’t take place in a fantastical setting, I’m sure you recall the episode about Rose’s sister from “Golden Girls”. I absolutely love that portrayal. Yes, at first, there WAS a problem with her being blind, nearly crashing into objects, starting a fire, etc. She was a handful and a concern. But nobody made her feel like she was less than. They let her know she was loved and supported. And when she was ready, she sought help and found ways to cope with her disability. That’s the reality. Having disabilities makes it moe difficult to navigate life compared to those who are neurotypical and ablebodied. To portray disabled characters without acknowledging the hardships that come with them is a bit disingenuous. Again, making them out to be this horrible thing in need of fixing or curing also isn’t right. There are ways to live with them. I’d be okay with the villainous character being ableist and acting angry at the disabled character (because we know they’re the villain and aren’t necessarily supposed to agree with them) if they aren’t going to be “proven right” in the end with the disability being cured. It’s the same thing as when they removed Ursula calling her victims “pathetic” in the remake of The Little Mermaid. There was no reason to do that. We’re not supposed to agree with her. She’s the bad guy. And what happens at the end? Is everyone in the kingdom shown to change to conform to what Ursula’s ideals are. No. That point was never brought up again. So yeah, villains being bigoted isn’t a problem in my book as they were never meant to be characters we’re supposed to agree with.
Sorry for ranting, I just always feel like disability representation should be treated as “we must pretend like disabled people are as equally content with life as able-bodied people and never say anything bad about them” or “we must fix them NOOOW!” Never any nuance. But hey, I’m just one person with relatively minor disabilities in the grand scheme of things. So, don’t forget to listen to those with more life altering ones (such as those with full deafness, blindness, paralysis, loss of body parts, etc). Ugh I love W.I.T.C.H so much. I watched the show first in like 4th grade then went back to read the comics online.
I love the art style for both in different ways, I do think the comic's style is more vibrant and unique. While I appreciate the melancholy tone in the comics, I love how fucking goofy the show is. The girls are so fucking funny, and the VA's did an excellent job bringing them to life. I only hear their voices when I think of them.
Also, love that Yan Lin is alive in the show. Yes, she's still around in the comics but she's just so much more apart of the story in the show and she's one of the best characters.
The first arc was much better in the comics. S1 definitely has issues. It's kinda clunky how the group is formed and Caleb is soooo draining in season 1.
However season 2 is the best W.I.T.C.H story period. It's so good, I love all the scheming, it even gets to the point where Will starts playing 3D chess too lol.
I also think the show did better with Nerissa's physical appearance. I can't help but feel like she was coded as Romani in the comics which is troubling. Of course, if any Romani people think I'm reaching, I will happily shut up.
I do remember falling off at third arc in the comics. I wanted to get through it to get to the new power arc but I just aggressively did not care lol.
I'm so glad I had the first two arcs in prose novel versions

Given how there are characters named after Greek figures in Meridian, Phobos and Hypnos immediately come to mind, but also Britonian ones as well like Cedric and Elias in the Show, and Escanor and Ludmoor in the comics*
I have a headcannon that the Worlds in TV Show W.i.t.c.h. are inspired by one or more Earth Cultures.
That would make Meridian of Metamoor inspired by Britonian England and Ancient Greece.
Since Banshees are creatures from Celtic folklore, I suggest that Arkhanta should be inspired by Ireland/Wales.

So Merlyn went to king Arthur and asked him for some Knights to help him fight an Evil on Metamoor (Cool, so we've established Arthurian Legends are Canon, and of the infinite Worlds Merlyn knew about at least Metamoor)
In the Battle which lasted who knows how long, the leader of the knights and four of his men, who were all appointed by Arthur to help Merlyn, die valiantly saving Metamoor.
The name of the Leader was Escanor, he had a wife named Lyrinx who followed him into Metamoor and survived the Battle, so the people of Metamoor decide to make her their Queen, and to erect four statues commemoration the Knights that died, and to build a new Capital (Meridian) in honour of her Husband.

A pretty good way were that he never ever gets non vebal , but when revived he gets short telepathy and tells that to his own dad telepathic, and , yeah how he is fine. that way he can say that without ever actually talking. Hell you could even dunno, make him some magic user if needed but he never talks physically, maybe something like the oracle. if needed.
and the dads abelism and selfishness could really work reasonable him going mad and wanting revenge going after relatives that try to tell him how not helping anyone he is.
Hell even tarale quitting for some episodes could be fun.
Here's how I would've adapted it. I would've completely ditched the Will parental custody subplot, as I think it eats away some of the more interesting parts of the series, and instead Will chooses to stay with Susan, because she was the one parent who truly cared for her, as well as showing us Dean and Susan's wedding.
The second plotline with the conspiracy to expose the guardians, I would probably keep around, I would also tie it into Kamen Rider Dragon Knight's similar storyline, where the No-Men, a group of government agents investigating supernatural activities, and just say that Ralph, Mr. Riddle, Maria, and Joel being revealed to be members of the No-Men. Though, that would likely require Disney buying the rights to Dragon Knight and all Kamen Rider Adaptations, which, I don't know how likely this would be, so, it's anyone's guess.
As for Arkhanta, that one's going to change a lot. So, instead of Ari wanting power because his son's autistic (No, I'm not making this up.) and kidnapping a banshee and making her his slave, which, makes me want the Guardians to evoke the 13th, which is a whole other rabbit hole I don't want to go down, I'll just say Ari and Yua are actually married in this universe and start a coup against Arkhanta's ruling royal family and start a worker's proletariat on Arkhanta, which becomes at odds with Kandrakar, and the Guardians have to stop him, before it fails and they have to make peace.
And, as for Orube, since Taranee wouldn't have a reason to hate the Oracle, and wouldn't need her vision fixed, instead his corruption should handled differently next arc, revolving instead around that previous incident where he confiscated the Heart of Kandrakar from Nerissa, and gave it Cassidy. And, Orube in this version is this universe's equivalent of a "sixth ranger", or in this case "sixth guardian", using the powers of darkness, or "tenebressence" at her disposal, and while Will is a bit of an emo and rebel, Orube has more of a strict adherance to a strong social hiararchy, which puts her at odds with Will who believes in freedom, liberty, and equality, though Cornelia takes a liking to her, because of their shared beliefs in strong hiararchies and a strict social order, which is sort of a reference to how each of the elements are directly opposed to one another, like how fire is to water, earth is to air, and now quintessence is to tenebressence .
Orube's introduction would be fairly similar to Eric's introduction as a ranger in Time Force, where she gains the powers of the sixth element, despite Will's pleas to not use them, as they're too dangerous to use, though, eventually it's too late and she gains them by saying "Tenebressence power!" You can guess where this is going, but, it would basically be this show's equivalent to the introduction of the sixth ranger in each Power Rangers season. Easily takes out the monster of the week as the other guardians struggle, and then finishes them off, stunning the core team of guardians in the process, just without them having a Zord, since, Zords and Megazords don't exist in this universe. It would probably occur in the middle of the season, like, episode 13 most likely.
Also, as the previous season used an alphabetical gimmick for episode titles, I imagine this season would use a number gimmic, similar to Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, like "One With the Heart", "Two for Trouble", "Three is a Magic Number", etc. Kind of like how Bruce Kalish's PR seasons have a gimmick for how many words there are in titles from SPD to Jungle Fury.
Now, this is how I'd do it, and possibly the most realistic way this could happen, but, I don't know how possible this is, considering how it was cancelled or possibly discontinued after two seasons. Just hope that if it does get greenlit, that we don't see Kalishsplosions in it.

It looks like we're never going to get another season or at least made by the original team because Disney wants to be the worst did not make good money so we're getting a reboot but it's a comic version and the characters don't look good. I wish we got season 3 but we kind of kept the characters from the show the same but Cornelia and will would have been a mix between their on TV and comic versions
I love this series, wish it got at least 3 more seasons, also a blu ray release would be nice.

It's a bad idea, very bad, either continue with the same format (like they did with Samurai Jack, by the way, decent ending after 15 years) or do something else.

So iirc about the Astral Drops in the comics, I think the more time the girls used the Astral Drops, the more life-like and real they became. I don’t know if it’s because of the Heart was giving them more life each time or what.
….also I headcanon that the Astral Drops end up becoming the MAGIC girls from the WITCH on Stage comic specials (I swear I can make it work, just let me get a conspiracy board thing out). But to me, Meg looks way too similar to Will (just blonde instead of a redhead) and had basically the same interests and backstory and I have gripes with that special that I want to vent about but that’s neither here nor there. Still I enjoyed this video and I hope you have a wonderful day/night!

Your mic sounds good. Would like to see more WITCH content from you. I just don't know why the tv show failed. When I was a kid it was just cool to see these girls fight evil and have normal social problems. I picked up a few books of the series from my childhood but never got around to reading them saddly. I think I remember liking Will the best, for her arc of becoming a leader and more confident.
As a neurodivergent I consider the whole 3rd arc with the kid to be poorly done as, no one seems to ask the kid what he wants, as you never brought it up in the video.
So when is this show gonna get the X-Men 97 treatment? Probably might take a while since W.I.T.C.H is anything but as big as X-Men at the moment.
Wow, the way Mr. Riddle, the Astral Drops & the ableism were handled looks like a rough first draft. I can definitely see the show try to handle them better. They basically already did the whole rouge Astral Drop problem way better in “H is for Hunted”. Imagine them expanding from that idea some more.

I like certain story arcs but in general......the comics had major issues like not keeping track of the girls' personalities, hopes/dreams, likes, dislikes, relationships, and even their powers.
