I truly hope you continue making videos this! If it weren’t for ppl like you the public would never know of events like these. The news in each of their hometowns likely had a small piece when it happened but it wouldn’t be anything like this where it details the HEROIC ACTS of 2 young Marines that until that day had never met but when danger approached & aside from a select few the majority of the local police did what they always did over there which was run away from a fight Yale & Haerter didn’t flinch & stood shoulder to shoulder & although neutralizing the driver those 2 still made the ultimate sacrifice! These stories shouldn’t be forgotten to the pages of time as numbers in a KIA log bc what they did was nothing short of heroic! So as a veteran I thank you for sharing these stories no matter how small the event was in the big picture 2 young men lost their lives that day & it seems that if it’s not a giant battle like Wanat & those bigger TICs the news doesn’t give it proper coverage & there will never be a movie made on it but these 2 stood in the devil’s doorway & instead of taking a step back they stood their ground! 1 was going to be home in a weeks time & the other was fresh off of Parris Island & new to the country & the fight. Thank u for posting these stories! RIP Bad Asses we got the watch now! 🇺🇸
Thank you for sharing this story. Those two marines are part of why I joined the Marine Corps, even though I ended up getting medically disqualified because of metal plates in my wrist by the time I tried to join in 2014 the entry process was ridiculous, however I remember reading their story and watching that video and the way it moved me and motivated me was profound.

Heavenly Father look favorably on your humble and faithful servants. Take them into your Kingdom and bless them. As surely as Jesus died for us, they died for their friends and comrades in arms, regardless of their Faith.

If a civvie wants to see a hero, look no further than your local hospital and check out the over worked nurses. Not a solider on foreign soil.
@@Notafantbhm8 If you think it's the same thing then you understand neither. You are also extremely short on information. I worked for the MOD during the first gulf war and I can promise you things were vastly different to what the public believes.
@@gordonlawrence1448 idk what youre on about?
What have I mistunderstood?
@@Notafantbhm8 Thinking that being a nurse and being a soldier are the same IE that nurses are heroes is nonsense. Nurses normally do not put their lives on the line like soldiers do, they do not die for each other like soldiers do, and in wartime they do not have a vastly reduced life expectancy like soldiers do. Nurses are great people and work extremely hard but it's not the same. That's just for starters.
It’s 1am here and can’t sleep and found this video after scanning youtube for some time now. Thanks, I needed this. Was feeling sorry for myself, rest easy gentlemen. 🇺🇸
Rest In Peace, heroes. We cannot repay you for your sacrifice, we can only try to live up to it. God bless you and your families.
God bless our Marines. Gen Mattis has a fantastic picture of these 2 Marines in the final seconds of them standing their ground firing as the explosion takes place. Medal of Honor for sure.
Can that picture be found online?
Thank you for this video. These stories need to be told over and over, “Lest We Forget”.
God Bless you gentlemen. You gave it all to protect your position and your families should be very proud. I am very grateful for men like you.
Incredible story from these two. Glad you covered it, cheers brother🤙
Thank You For Your Service...
Brothers in arms are some of the best brothers one could ask for.
Semper Fi. 2 fateful hours leading to an even more fateful 6 seconds.
Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart

Not really a spoiler. The channel is called “Liveth For Evermore “ and the indication that they “... made a stand ...” tends to indicate what happened.

I used to walk by Yale's photo in the Company office daily in G Co. Never took for granted what those men did that day and was sobering reminder to young marines what it means to an infantryman.

I remember seeing this on the nightly news, short story of their lives and video of the blast. I thank them for giving all to their country, and saving their fellow marines. True heroes. I thank all of you heroes for serving your country.
Thank you two for your sacrifice. Your heroism will not be forgotten.
Nothing but respect to Lance Corporal Jordan Haerter and Corporal Jonathan Yale. Semper Fi Marines. May you rest in peace.
My heart literally aches for their families. To think of their sacrifice to help keep America safe from pathetic terrorist while back home equally pathetic politicians are allowing domestic terrorist to destroy our country from within is sickening. RIP brothers! Semper Fi!
Brad Boyd, you said a mouthful and thank you for that. These guys did not join up to be heralded if they died, but I say they should be. The bravest and best of us.
Can you explain who these domestic terrorist are? I am a United States Marine, and what I see happening to America is a president and Republican Party ruining America and leading us to a dictatorship.
So, unless you are talking about Con Man Donnie and his band of crooks, I think your are comment is totally off base. And I would not mind saying that to your face. Let me know.
@@jamesdavis8731 Idiot. Show respect. You know the truth, embrace it. Stop being an internet douche, stop your pathetic attempt to blur what your masters are doing and have done. And if you are lying about your service, just do yourself a favor and tackle a speeding vehicle. And I'm in, I'll say it to your ambiguously gendered face "marine".
Pathetic? They ground down the world's only superpower into two major defeats and set the stage for China to eclipse them. Far from pathetic.

Rest in Piece Yale we miss you man, he did what he needed to when it counted man do we miss him.
Thank You For Your Service!
I remember hearing about this when i was young.
Still get chills.
Thank you for posting- I knew Jordan and watched him grow up as a kid in Sag Harbor. I was friends with his father Chris , I cannot explain the heaviness that Jordan’s death placed on his father’s soul. Chris recently passed. Two great American men - may they both rest in peace. 🇺🇸
I did 13 months in Nam, these two fellows rank me and anyone else I was with over there. They did not "rob dog". Died with their fingers on the trigger.
Thank you for your service.
Thank You for this video honoring these two Marines , they deserve to be remembered as the bravest !
Can't say enough about these brave men. God bless them and their families.
Thank you for recounting the events of that day that tragically took the lives of so many - particularly the two brave marines. You shared this account with dignity and respect. THank you.
A fitting and beautiful video to these two men who stepped off into eternity having done all they could. Amen.
Love this channel. Some of the best content on YT. Keep up the good work
Thank God for closed captions!
I just want to thank all of our Men & Women of our Armed Forces for your Service to our Great Country.

Men of honor and courage. True soldiers for freedom ,we all forget sometimes that we take our freedoms for granted. I am truly thankful to both of these American heroes for serving this great country of ours. I love each and every one of our military
These men are heroes, as is all service men. Not these stupid NFL, NBA and MLB players.
No comparison between these young guys who did their duty and steroid infected, Brain dead professional athletes.
God Bless

Dang, these warriors are indeed worthy of remembering Evermore. Thank you for honoring their souls.
I was in 2/8 , in Echo Company and Yale was in Weapons Company. I was at Camp Ramadi and remember hearing the blast and then seeing the medevac bring him in. RIP Yale #0351

Heroes all. Most especially the two Marines who stood up and defended their brothers with their very lives. Thank you all for your service, bravery, and absolute steadfastness.
Damn. Just seeing those pictures brought back what it felt like to be there. It's going to be a long night. But it's a night I have. A night I can look at the sleeping faces of my wife and three little ones and be truly thankful. A night, like every other these past 16 years, I owe to Marines like Haerter and Yale, and a hell of a lot of fine Iraqis as well. Rest in Peace LCpl Gray. Rest in Peace Lt Jiminez. And all those we had to bring home on a seperate flight. Never Forgotten!
I love this channel. A true service to the memory of those who have done theirs.
One of my childhood friends became a Marine. He was hurt pretty bad in ramadi.
These are the heroes of modern times. They should be remembered forever and UA-cam has a great mission in doing that. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. RIP brave men.
No greater love,,, they stood their ground saving the lives of their comrades and fellow Marines. God forever look over their families. Heavenly Father look favorably on your humble and faithful servants. Take them into your Kingdom and bless them. As surely as Jesus died for us, they died for their friends and comrades in arms, regardless of their Faith.
It's a complete shame that these heros aren't recognized more! Thank you , for all you men who have fought and who have died for us. We should show you all more gratitude and appreciation.
May the brothers forever Rest In Peace, both hero’s, Jordon is from my hometown.....
No greater honor than to give one's life to Protect another........we are all blessed that such men lived...

Rest in Peace Corporals Haerter & Yale. Much respect Brothers. Til Valhalla!
I remember this very well . I was in Ramadi at this very time . Such a lovely place .
I think one of the most meaningful parts about this story isn't that they'll never met before, they had no prior commitment to each other besides being Brothers in arms. But they stood together in the last moments, can't even imagine
You should make these longer, i would love a mini documentary style 15-20 minute video about stuff like this. still for a 7 minute video you got in a lot of details, keep it up.
"You are not taking my brothers...." best words ever.
Salute to such Great Americans, soldiers and bravery in the face of death.
They shall grow not old,
As we who are left grow old.
Age will not weary them,
Nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Lest we forget.

O-sevens for these brave young men.
I think they probably had less than six, more like three seconds to react and their training gave results.
Now imagine that brief moment after the attack, when Cpl Yale was still alive, but dying. I hope he realized that he saved everyone in the base and died at peace.
I never served so I’m not qualified to say anything about the encounter or the courage these two young men displayed. All I can do is wipe the tears from my eyes and with all that I am say thank you! God bless our men and women in uniform!
