"Good figure, fuck the accessories" I think that is the best summation of what they presented us. A decent figure with a huge trailer that is just not as good as what we should have gotten for a commander class. If this was leader class price I think I'd be okay picking it up. I guess I'll wait for a sale, or a rerelease without all the extras I don't need/want.
I remember seeing a Twitter post of someone painting the Rodimus head the same grey as the SS hot rod and I thought it looked a lot better, the silver they used seems to add like 30 years to Rodimus’ life. Don’t remember who made the tweet or where it is though.
Rodimus on his own with some accessories like his gun, matrix, and sword I'd say would be a very fair $50 leader. Yes, he is smaller than some leaders and is around the size or taller than a voyager, but the engineering on him is so good and he's got so much heft to him that I'd say he's worth a leader price point. If you think he still should be $30 just because of his height alone you're crazy. There is no way any voyager would feel this hefty and have this many parts at the $30 price range. If they did we would have seen it on other figures by now. The trailer though is obviously where the restbudget went to make him a commander. And this figure's price will ultimately come down to whether you care about the trailer or not. I'll at least give Hasbro this. They were willing to put more budget into his trailer than Optimus' despite the poor treatment Rodimus has gotten over the years. So at least they're giving him more respect by giving him a better trailer than Earthrise Optimus. Also, the trailer not closing is a widespread thing people are having. It's with mine too but only when I try to store the turret in it. The peg on the top of the trailer is meant for you to put the turret on there. Because Hasbro I guess wants you to have many different options with how you play with the trailer.
I pretty much agree with that, though I'd give up the sword and instead upgrade the gun with that budget to get it so it separates and gets some paint. I'm not saying that he should be a Voyager because of the size, it's definitely got more effort than that, but this is out of scale due to the size and it's a commander, he should be at least as big as Galvatron, if not bigger since that's what he was. It being smaller than a Voyager is just kind of the most effective way to sum up that it's not the size it's supposed to be. I'd argue that the Trailer is not worth what they are charging at all. It's the price of a Voyager and it's made out of like 9 pieces. They needed to go a LOT harder on the trailer for it to be worth it.
I really wished that Kingdom Rodimus' face was more like what the boxart was promised. Despite that the figure does look not bad in an engineering standpoint, I hope that he gets a discount soon so I can grab him and maybe there would be a re-release of him without the trailer.
@@PerspectiveEnd Maybe they’ll do a Commander Optimal Optimus? Make him a little smaller than Skylynx if not about the same size, and he’ll be in scale with the rest of the Kingdom BW cast.
I watched Rodimus Primal's review of it yesterday, and I believe he said the face design was based off the regeneration one comic run. Maybe Kup stole some of his youthful good looks to keep himself functioning.
I'd be willing to bet the Regeneration One design was based off the Studio OX stuff. So it's based on something that was based on the thing that I'm hypothesizing. Also what a Horrible decision. "Well make it the Perfect G1 version, but give it the head of a comic version NO ONE read."
You know I’m glad that this was better then you expected, I honestly think it looks pretty good and probably would be almost a perfect leader and just take out most of the accessories, leave the gun, matrix, and matrix affect and I think 50 bucks would be amazing for this guy.

I love this review. You are really fair in your assessment. Good praise on the positive parts and really roast the negative parts. It's really informative and entertaining.
Just got my hands on the Kingdom Mirage and Grimlock two-pack, and my thoughts are mixed. Found myself liking the Grimlock more than the mirage who has a lot of faults. While every joint on Grimlock is perfect, Mirage has some odd tolerances. His legs are a fucking mess with them not wanting to tab together in robot mode while they are stupid tight when they are transformers into car mode. I thought that the Mirage would be the highlight of the set like everyone else on youtube has said, but Grimlock is an amazing figure and has better QC than my Dinobot who can barely hold his weapons because of his stupidly weak elbow joints. Grimlock also has a much better paint job than the Dinobot, but that is probably just my opinion. The set is a worthy buy, but I hope the QC on the Mirage is better on your copy if you do pick this up.
I need to re-preorder those, or maybe just outright buy them now if possible. I look forward to checking them out my self, Hope I don't have your tolerance issues.
I agree that the price isn’t worth it , I’m content with 86 Hot Rod. It’s basically like ER Optimus , a bunch of accessories to inflate the price. Compared to Jetfire and Sky Lynx kind of feels like a step down.
I bet that gun he comes with was meant to split into 2 guns but at some point in development they just made it one big gun with a hinge to somewhat make it seem like a high end figure. Because I bet if you were to theoretically split that gun in 2 where the pegs are it would fit in that tray in the trailer
As a massive Rodimus Prime fan I was very satisifed with this figure and have had a lot of play value out of it. I'll talk about the trailer to get it out of the way first. I like the trailer, I like when you can put things and other characters in trailers. Rodimus can hold almost every single low profile car bot there is and I really appreciate that considering optimus can hold 3 molds and the car carriers failed to hold any both times somehow. I also have been a fan of base forming and battle stations for my characters to hang out in since titans return so I like that Rodimus can have a battle station that I can make bases out of. Plus I like flipping the front panel up and using it as Rodimus's chair, I just find it silly. I also have found it super easy to store things in. The small front compartment of the trailer can hold the three medium blast effects no problem, the bottom tray can hold the smoke effects, matrix effect, the three smaller blast effects, and you can plug the sword in at an angle and the edges of the container actually comfortably hold the tip of the sword which allows it to fit, and then the turret, the gun, and the large blast effect fit in the trailer no problem. I understand how some people can miss that tho, it's not in the instructions and I had to play with him a bit to figure out where everything fits. Also the turret can go on Rodimus's back like a giant jetpack with shoulder cannons and that's just so much fun. I love the transformation and the articulation and accessories makes him so much fun to play with and he looks and feels AMAZING in robot mode. My only genuine complaint with it is the cutes in the smoke stacks. I know they wanted one simple way to connect him but I wish you slid him in and then slided the stacks down to secure him and close the gap. But other than that I really enjoy him quite a bit. Good review and it's good to see people who might disagree with me, but this figure is sort of just everything I wanted and takes advantage of my favorite little gimmicks in toys. Also really sorry your copy didn't come with the small blast effects. Also if you pull the top of the chest forward you can get his arms to butterfly in really well. Also even as a Rodimus fan I admit that it is not 80 bucks worth, like 70 maybe, but not 80.
This trailer is better, I think if this had been how Optimus's trailer had been, I'd have been ok with calling him a leader. That is what I have been thinking my self, Hasbro needs to get used to charging inbetween prices for figures, and stick less stringently to Size class.
Got this guy and I can't put it down gotta say if this is the level of quality in the commander class price range I can't wait for my shattered glass jetfire
Glad you are enjoying it. They at least did give it some quality, though I still feel like it needed just a bit more to justify it as it is, or a bit less, and been less.
I like studio ox's predaking. He looks like a super robot. As a G fighter fan i love that. They even used that design in the call of the primitives episode. That moment and what the predacons said will always be my favorite part of g1 of all time.
This is a figure that I really wanted to see perspective Tar a new one, yet at the same time praise. So I guess this review was everything I was hoping for
@@PerspectiveEnd if I’m being honest, your videos really are the full package of a nice review. Their funny, entertaining, analytical and are great for advising us on what is a figure worth spending money on
I think the studio series 86 hot rod is better than this, then again I like hot rod more than rodimus Not to say this thing is bad, but I prefer the hot rod 8:10, actually that’s something I like about the studio series DOTM Optimus figure, the trailer Transforms into a jet pack, and a weapon rack. And has more accessories AND IS A LEADER
It is the first time I've decided to open that way. Thought about doing it before, but being on camera is a pain in the butt, so I normally decide against it.
I’ve seen a few videos on this guy before and imo he’s definitely a great figure and his accessories are also pretty good But they have no right selling this at the usual commander price, especially when he didn’t even appear in the show like how skyfire and skylynx did. I don’t mind him being commander but making us pay the usual price of one for what’s essentially a voyager/modern leader with some extra stuff is ridiculous
It was a dumb idea from the beggining to even consider Rodimus as a commander class, when this guy was listed a year ago i already expected the worst. Decepticons like Overlord, Sixshot or Octane were much more appropriate to fit the Commander Class slot (now the Autobots really outnumber and outgun the Decepticons having 3 Commander class figures)
@@redwing6174 I feel he’s worth every penny I paid for because I like all the accessories and the figure blew me away, but I’m probably in the minority on that
Just a warning, I've heard the blast effects can melt the plastic on the rest of the figure. Some kind of chemical reaction or something. You might want to put them in a bag or something, just dont store them in the tray.
It’s the best Rodimus that Hastak has ever released. Best, but not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. why is this $90 again? also, hey, HEY. don't dunk on Obari. dunno about the rest of the Ox Staff, but Obari's artwork is great. Shin Matsuo (the dude who drew the combiners with the Giant crotches) is an absolute meme tho. feel free to trash his works.
@@PerspectiveEnd It took me a visit to the TFwiki to check who drew what, but Obari is a name held near and dear to Mecha fans everywhere. He has a particular art style that immediately recognizable and generally something I love seeing. Though yeah. Some of the Ox stuff is…yikes…
@PerspectiveEnd well, it was turbine powered (it had a jet engine) and was supposed to be "the truck of the future." Lol. Hin energon incarnation was also turbine powered oddly enough
I mean that's what Hasbro want's you to think, but the Accessories on this all cost like nothing to produce. I could buy an Entire Separate Voyager with it's own paint, and it's own accessories, for the price of this things, gun Sword, Cannon, and 9 blast effects.
Well that's not something I expected to hear. To be fair My eyes were very puffy because I was exhausted, so I did look perhaps a bit stranger than normal.
Its a good figure I guess (I still think he looks like an old man), but come on guys, this is a $120 voyager, not a commander class. Motormaster will at least have an excuse to justify the commander price point, given that he has to pull off 3 modes, by default needs to have a trailer, a sword, a gun of some sort, and likely blast effects as well. Rodimus is just a voyager with a trailer that takes up way too much space, and a pile of accessories. I wish they had done Tigerhawk or one of the big Decpti-baddies, but as is I refuse to buy it.
It always does that, but some times it works out that it's more Gradual. So usually it looses 70% of it's pace at a point, but some times it goes -50 then -20.
Dont know how but i got it 2 weeks early after the images for the toy were released at rockdale somehow. I opened it up and i was pretty impressed especially at the head sculpt but i hate the veichle mode it sucks.
As someone who has purchased many overpriced figures on the secondary market, $150 Australian isnt really value, but its not a complete rip off either. I got lucky and preordered on amazon and ended up paying $92, and imo its definitely worth it at that price. Figure looks better in hand than pictures and feels really nice, quality plastic and paint finish. Transformation is a bit fiddly but satisfying. And most importantly he looks good next to my other movie figures.
To be fair 92 AUD is the Equivalent of 70 USD so you did pay a much more reasonable amount for this thing. I does look good with the other movie characters, and I agree the transformation is a little fiddly.
Been waiting a while for this review, I was the same as you based on the product shots, but he’s my number 3 in my collection (behind WFC skyfire and cyclonus). I actually like all his accessories, but I do agree the smoke effects would be so much cooler in orange or red. I actually display him in vehicle mode because I really like the trailer, sure it probably isn’t worth the full price(I got mine for $109 AU compared to $150 retail) but I’d say this figure justifies commander more than ER optimus justifies leader(especially when Netflix prime has a way cooler paint job for $40AU less). The engineering on this guy blew me away when I transformed him the first time
Nice! I know that's technically higher in pure number than the US version, but the rate of exchange plus the difference in wages actually makes that kind of more reasonable than here. I mean technically the rate of Exchange would make it the same as the USD price, but there's still the higher Australian Wages. I will say that this is doing more to try to justify it's price. The Trailer here is actually worth a reasonable amount of money unlike the Prime"s, I just don't think it jumps him two size classes in price.
After some reviews, i kinda change 1-2 things about this figure. From what i heard it's still quite heavy, and many people say it's solid too. So even though, they downgrade a little bit of his size, his quantity is still good enough. And don't forget he has pistons and spring loaded in his trailer. But about his design, my problem with him remain the same. His head looks very old, he gives me Vector Prime vibes more than Rodimus himself and His arm pipes are too long. He has good amount of accesories and articulations, but the smoke kinda stupid and his weapon storage is dull. His cab form looks good, it looks like a modified of his hot rod car mode. But his space truck mode still stupid.
Yes, but his paint is also very flimsy, I didn't manage to damage it before doing the video, but I did manage a lot during it, because of how much harder it is to handle a figure with a camera in front of you. It's definitely a mixed figure, it's good, but not for the price.
4:09 I literally found my first version of this Matrix on the floor at Walmart, all I had to do was bend over and pick it up, and I'm still not sure I'm happy with my purchase. TBF, it does look pretty hilarious when held by Kingdom Waspinator
I love your hatred I genuinely love hearing your opinions and like you hating on studio ox when all other transformers fans love it That cracked me up keep being awesome
Due to this commander not being in the show which is odd cause you should be advertising the big figures in a toyline but I still think hasbro should’ve done a big commander. Maybe do a rampage or a transmetal megatron they don’t show up in the Netflix show but neither did Rodimus and you could put Rodimus in the 86 line where he does fit
Probably number 2 behind the Masterpiece. It poses better than most of it's competition, and is definitely of higher quality than the 86 figure, price not taken into account like it's typically not on a WTB just the figure it self, it's not as good as the MP but it's better than the others.
Oh man. This video has been a long time coming. In my opinion the figure isn't the worst, quite good in fact. but that damn price. They added some useless stuff like metal pistons and mediocre effect to "justify" the commander price. Also that random sword is beyond useless. I could excuse voyager but this is to much. Also also the smoke effects look like used trash bags
I'm skipping this figure as I only really want one of each character in the display and not having both hotrod and rodimus. I do have the PotP rodimus but I display him with the same line Optimus and Primal which since they're all the same size looks nice with all 3 together.
@@PerspectiveEnd but after your review I also have a better view of him. But hands down agree it should have been a leader as it was a waste of a Commander. Maybe they should have made it a studio 86 leader.
@@PerspectiveEnd Indeed. I really like this review bc it pointed out a lot of flaws that I hadn't really noticed with my rose-tinted nostalgia glasses.
I'll say that I wasn't sold on this figure being commander class when it was revealed, and no one has really managed to convince me that I was wrong, and I'm not too sad about that. Thanks for telling me more about this figure, and informing me not to spend $80+ on it.
I really love this figure, I said when you first started bashing on its very concept I was looking forward to it. Personally not disappointed, worth the money from my wallet, I Personally see value in many different parts of it. However thats my wallet and my view I'm not trying to argue for value that you can't see. Good review as always man.
Thank you very much, and I do like the figure, I just wish it didn't come will all the garbage that's just going to live in a drawer forever for me, that caused it to cost so much more than it should have.
@@PerspectiveEnd I like the trailer, its allot better than optimus though for display i have to keep it in battle platform mode for the other 3rd season guys to stand on, for the room consolidation. I could use the other blast effects and I always like extra weapons. The big cannon is a g1 toy throwback and its pretty cool. I'm painting the black smoke white, its never black in the show its white. I'm not shy with painting, even made a custom armada wheeljack out of deep cover. Made a autobot seeker a decepticon lol 😆 also I should see if the flames from the hot rod work with this rodimus.
Oh boi here we go 9:23 also WTF!? Why does that sword not work you know I was going to get this just so I can have a Grimlock sword and excuse all of the other flaws. But now I don’t even want to get this thing, this figure just became a 1/10 to a -10/10
"Avoid paying full price if you can." Just paid under 100AUD when it goes for up to 160AUD here. Feels like most Leaders since Siege to be honest, Voyager plus extra stuff. Will say though, I think the Power of the Primes play pattern makes it the more enjoyable toy of the two.

Rodimus's face is based on his Regeneration One comics. And you forgot that you can make Rodimus' fingers do the "This is the end of the rode, Galvatron"
Yeah, and I'm sure that's either right, or a reasonable assumption, but what I'm saying is that if it's true that this was based on that, I think that was based on Studio Ox.
The sword has a port in it that can flip out, which will allow it to peg into the drawer under the trailer. I am not sure what else fits inside though, it's been a while since I watched another review on this guy.
Also he is very rapidly losing paint, which wasn't in the video because it didn't happen till I started handling him a little rougher since the camera made it hard to reach him.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah my spoiler has a small paint chip on it,but it's not showing clear plastic it was showing white which means there's a coat of white pain under the yellow and orange paint on the spoiler

Although, finding him will be hard since the Walmart and Target I got to don’t have it (or maybe they still don’t due to the country I live in). Also, I was surprised by your face reveal at the beginning of the video
I have 7 Wallmarts and Targets combined near me, 3 of them Super Targets and one of them a Super Walmart, and none of them have either this nor the Ark so I don't think it's where you live. And I know it's different than what I normally do, but I have been on camera before.

Because I bet if you were to theoretically split that gun in 2 where the pegs are it would fit in that tray in the trailer
That makes too much damn sense.
Punished Rodimus.
I don't know that I punished him.
Intro is memeworthy.
Really? I didn't expect to hear that?
I like studio ox's predaking. He looks like a super robot. As a G fighter fan i love that. They even used that design in the call of the primitives episode. That moment and what the predacons said will always be my favorite part of g1 of all time.
Look I love G Gundam but not everything needs to be super robot.
And I think TF is one of the things that needs to be it the least.
@@PerspectiveEnd fair enough.
5:40 I love this bit so much
Glad you did. I was very proud of that bit.
This is a figure that I really wanted to see perspective Tar a new one, yet at the same time praise. So I guess this review was everything I was hoping for
Glad to hear you got everything you wanted out of my video.
@@PerspectiveEnd if I’m being honest, your videos really are the full package of a nice review. Their funny, entertaining, analytical and are great for advising us on what is a figure worth spending money on
I'm happy to hear that they are everything I wanted them to be.
I think the studio series 86 hot rod is better than this, then again I like hot rod more than rodimus
Not to say this thing is bad, but I prefer the hot rod
8:10, actually that’s something I like about the studio series DOTM Optimus figure, the trailer Transforms into a jet pack, and a weapon rack. And has more accessories AND IS A LEADER
I think this definitely has plenty of advantages over that.
Huh. You make a good point there, and I should use that.
@@PerspectiveEnd thank you
5:42 Best part.
You're the first person to comment on that part, I'm glad someone liked it, that was the moment I was most proud of.
@@PerspectiveEnd What can I say? I’m just a fan of BoomerspectiveEnd.
The only word that can describe this is “meh.” He should be great, but for what they’re charging he just falls flat.
Pretty much yeah. At a reasonable price this would be great, but it's not.
You know when the video starts with facecam, you're gonna be in for a ride.
It is the first time I've decided to open that way. Thought about doing it before, but being on camera is a pain in the butt, so I normally decide against it.
I’ve seen a few videos on this guy before and imo he’s definitely a great figure and his accessories are also pretty good
But they have no right selling this at the usual commander price, especially when he didn’t even appear in the show like how skyfire and skylynx did. I don’t mind him being commander but making us pay the usual price of one for what’s essentially a voyager/modern leader with some extra stuff is ridiculous
Rodimus was in the show
@@sewing3049 he wasn’t
@@lonewolf9578 rodimus was the leader through all of season 3
@@lonewolf9578 or hold on are you talking about kingdom and those?
It was a dumb idea from the beggining to even consider Rodimus as a commander class, when this guy was listed a year ago i already expected the worst.
Decepticons like Overlord, Sixshot or Octane were much more appropriate to fit the Commander Class slot (now the Autobots really outnumber and outgun the Decepticons having 3 Commander class figures)
Soooo this figure is basically just MP-44 but for the normal transformers line
Except mp44 sucks, this doesn’t, sure it’s probably not worth the asking price, but at least this one isn’t breaking on you
@@LemonConsumption mainly talking about the amount of accessories and needlessly complex trailer to jack up the price
@@redwing6174 I feel he’s worth every penny I paid for because I like all the accessories and the figure blew me away, but I’m probably in the minority on that
I'd say that the figure it self is better than the 44, it definitely doesn't feel like the Engineering of it hates you.
90 dollars for a toy of a taller Hot Rod with a trailer is just more than I'm willing to pay.
And I agree with that sentiment, if they separate him from the trailer and sell that at some point then I'd reccomend the figure.
I am surprised that he didn't mention the chest is not a fake part .
Just a warning, I've heard the blast effects can melt the plastic on the rest of the figure. Some kind of chemical reaction or something. You might want to put them in a bag or something, just dont store them in the tray.
That's interesting. I've heard something like that, but I thought it mean that they were too hot when the got put together.
When Perspective shows off his face at start of the video, you know that shit’s serious.
A lot of people had that same reaction.
I didn't realize people even knew who the Artists for studio OX were.
Funny thing, Rodimus was supposed to turn into the GM Byson concept truck
Interesting, I do see it, though I don't know why they'd base it on a 60s truck. That seems old school for a Hip 80s/2005 kid.
@PerspectiveEnd well, it was turbine powered (it had a jet engine) and was supposed to be "the truck of the future." Lol. Hin energon incarnation was also turbine powered oddly enough
Now this is a real mini masterpiece, because it’s also overpriced as fuck
That was a Killer Joke.
Well played!!!!
Price:
Figure=Voyager
Figure and Trailer= Leader
Figure and Trailer and Weapons=Commander
I mean that's what Hasbro want's you to think, but the Accessories on this all cost like nothing to produce.
I could buy an Entire Separate Voyager with it's own paint, and it's own accessories, for the price of this things, gun Sword, Cannon, and 9 blast effects.
Glad to hear there’s at least some positives to the roddy; def agree tho that the price is absolute blasphemy
Yes, the figure it self is good, everything else I could do with out.
Why does perspective look like the Polka dot man wtf
One hundred and twenty dollars?
And agreed. I wish so hard that they had gone with some Beast Wars Stuff for the Commander.
@@PerspectiveEnd $120 CAD*

@@PerspectiveEnd yup😵
i like how the music gradually gets slower as the video progresses
It always does that, but some times it works out that it's more Gradual.
So usually it looses 70% of it's pace at a point, but some times it goes -50 then -20.
This figure is worth leader price even with the accessories and trailer. I would have preferred Magnaboss for the Kingdom Commander however
I agree with everything you just said.
At least he’s not like Dai Altas
Because that figure is a joke that shouldn’t exist
The Dai Atlas is at least funny bad.
This is the first I’ve seen your face.
I've been on camera in a video 4 times so far. Three of those times it was the whole video.
Dont know how but i got it 2 weeks early after the images for the toy were released at rockdale somehow. I opened it up and i was pretty impressed especially at the head sculpt but i hate the veichle mode it sucks.
That's an interesting reversal on me. I like the Vehicle mode, but the head just confuses me. Like why is most of it so G1 except for the head.
@@PerspectiveEnd well, the main reason why I don't like the veichle mode is because there are a bit too much gaps.
I does look good with the other movie characters, and I agree the transformation is a little fiddly.
found it on clearance which is nice!
Wuudaya know. It just occurred to me: the only Commander class figures Rodimus is bigger than is the old cyberverse legends-sized transformers.
Those aren't true Commander Class.
He’s overpriced but man I think he’s worth it then again I’m a huge Rodimus fan
Same here I really want him
If this ever gets released separately from the trailer like they did with Prime I'd recommend that in a heartbeat.
Imagine crossing by Him in the street and ZAZA Be Together starts playing.
I see you've looked at the video descriptions before.
@@PerspectiveEnd Practically all of them, BTW Hound's Video Description was also not there, just saying, yoir Astrotrain description is flawed now.
Free wasn't cheap enough.
I love your hatred I genuinely love hearing your opinions and like you hating on studio ox when all other transformers fans love it
That cracked me up keep being awesome
Thank you very much, glad you like my pain.
5:42-5:51 I loved that small skit between hot rod and Rodimus, that last line, LMAO
I'm glad you enjoyed that bit, I built the whole skit around that line.
Exactly, and I would have killed for the Kingdom Commander to be a BW figure.
Ik that ur not gonna add this to the WHAT'S THE BEST HOTROD list, but I'm curious to where you would put it if it was in the list
Probably number 2 behind the Masterpiece. It poses better than most of it's competition, and is definitely of higher quality than the 86 figure, price not taken into account like it's typically not on a WTB just the figure it self, it's not as good as the MP but it's better than the others.
Oh boi that intro🤣
Was that really funny, I didn't really expect to get people laugh at that bit.
i think that they gave him that level of hand articulation so that he could point at galvatron
NOT WORTH IT GALVATRON!!!
I thought the sword would be a normal one, so that i could have multible characters against dinobot
Your thoughts mirror mine almost exactly.
I quite liked the intro of this video, I wouldn’t mind seeing something like that in later videos.
I'm glad you did, but it's not something you can expect often, it's a lot harder to film my self than it is to film other stuff.
I'm skipping this figure as I only really want one of each character in the display and not having both hotrod and rodimus. I do have the PotP rodimus but I display him with the same line Optimus and Primal which since they're all the same size looks nice with all 3 together.
I get that. You wont catch me arguing you need to spend money on this even if I did end up liking it.
@@PerspectiveEnd but after your review I also have a better view of him. But hands down agree it should have been a leader as it was a waste of a Commander. Maybe they should have made it a studio 86 leader.
He does look pretty metal with the cannons attached to his back.

Well the only official ones. There are tons of 3P ones.

Yeah, you are better just buying the upgrade kit for Grimlock if you are after a sword.

That's where I keep the knees. They have the most range that way.
8:06 That would've doubled as a cool reference to Dark of the Moon Optimus' trailer.
I don't know that, that movie can lay claim to the concept of weapon racks in a trailer.

I do understand that, but it's too long for the Tray when you do that.
My EctoTron is bigger than that!
Yeah, it's inexcusably small.
Rodimus's face is based on his Regeneration One comics. And you forgot that you can make Rodimus' fingers do the "This is the end of the rode, Galvatron"
I don't think it was vital to say the second part, but for the first part I think the comic was based on the Studio Ox Art.
@@PerspectiveEnd that was according to Rodimus Primal. The man that also knows Transformers
Yeah, and I'm sure that's either right, or a reasonable assumption, but what I'm saying is that if it's true that this was based on that, I think that was based on Studio Ox.
This is the chug version of MP-44. Includes a bunch of pointless accessories to artificially jack up the price.

The sword has a port in it that can flip out, which will allow it to peg into the drawer under the trailer. I am not sure what else fits inside though, it's been a while since I watched another review on this guy.
I know it has the peg, but it's too long to fit in the trailer, though it might fit at a diagonal people are saying that you can get that to work.
I would say to justify the price they used better plastic, but on mine there are stress marks on the elbow joint from transforming him a bunch of times
