I loved this video a ton, because I'm also a car production photographer - mostly freelance and the only lens I use right now is an 85mm f1.8 on my 5D mk1 and it's usually super difficult to work with sometimes due to the depth and how far you gotta be just to get the whole car in focus sometimes is a headache but honestly I love it so much especially with details and bokeh, and especially low light. It's a beast and I'm blessed to have got my hands on an 85mm. I feel personally it's an amazing lens for car photography. And so many more types of photography. Definitely would love to see more locations with the lens dude !
Just bought a camera and it came with this lens and the first video I see is yours that's awesome I've been watching and learning from you for a whole now! Great work as always!
Love this! And that BRZ 😍 I’m new to all this and bought a nifty fifty (EF) for my 11 year old Canon 550D, which I hadn’t factored in has an APS-C sensor, so it’s essentially a 80mm f/1.8… finding it very hard to get a spot with enough distance!
Recently moved from an ancient Nikon DSLR to a slightly modern a7ii and the first lens I bought was Sony's 85mm f/1.8, really love the depth of field of it at wide angle though I'm not used to the focal length ( I always used a 17-55 APS-C zoom on my Nikon ) Though looking at your shots & that video of you 85mm 1.4 I know they can get really sweet shots.
greetings from ontario! nice location for a car shoot. I really dig it! The colours of the containers look really nice in the background, especially the blue containers, because of the blue brz I also like how you use canadian metrics. I wish all canadian youtubers did anyways, great vid!
I appreciate you watching Cameron! All you need is a polarizer filter and then it's all about editing from there! You can take amazing images with you iPhone (or crop sensor Sony) =) It's all about the post processing.
I’ve got this lens on my Z6 and I absolutely love it. Pair those with a Varis preset and you get some POP to cars you’re photographing. I recently downloaded them to start adding them to images I’ve been shooting off my new Mini Countryman S and the images stand out so much.
Cool video. Great photography! I have Viltrox lenses for my Fujifilm and love them. I JUST purchased the Yongnuo 85mm f1.8 RF for my EOS "R" I like it. But now I wonder about this Viltrox RF. Looks great!
This lens is situated in hard position in the market, as it isn't cheap enough for its downsides, steping up in price a bit to native RF gives you more sophisticated and develop lens which is RF 85mm f/2 IS macro STM.
Hey! Been curious about the Smallrig Black Mamba camera cage your using, will it mount directly to your DJI Ronin RS2, or do you need an adapter? Also is it possible to mount it in a portrait orientation on a tripod? Thanks, and great videos man!
Yes to all of the above. It’s a beauty cage man, so minimal but covers all the basis. You do need to use the RS2 base plate but otherwise it isn’t any more intrusive. Highly recommend!
I have the Yongnuo 85mm f1.8 RF and it works great. I have Viltrox lenses for my Fujifilm X-T3. I wonder how this RF version is compared to my new Yongnuo RF?
Haha! The rumours about canadians are true though, we get used to it being -25C so when it warms up we're out in T-shirts haha! Thanks for watching mate! =D
@@TheCarCreative i feared you might tell me something like that ... :D sheeesh.. i am a summer person. i will not leave the house until we get +20 again.... some call it lockdown :D

great video! I'm going to have to step up my photography game pretty soon. My Sony A6000 with the stock 18-50mm lens kinda sucks

Love this lens, where is this location in Calgary btw?
Another great video man, BRZ looking dope !!!
Thanks man! Loving the car so much!
Love the video and review and images here. Fellow Canadian here :)

I'm looking to add some new Canon glass to my bag, RF 50 1.2 or RF 85 1.2 for Automotive work?
Both would be fantastic options. Expensive, but fantastic.
Awesome video man! I recently picked up the canon 85mm 1.8f and I think its a good focal length sweet spot for car photography.
Ya it can really make the car pop out of the frame which is great! Which camera body are you shooting with?
@@TheCarCreative I'm using the Canon 6Dll, its a great little camera!
I love prime lenses just have to walk back a lot 😆
Dope Stuff! I'd recommend Samyang 85mm f1.4 also, but both great lenses.
Its nice.. but i really like my Canon 85 f2 more. Also because of the macro and it’s sooo Sharp. I can recommend the RF 85 F/2 to everyone!
Thanks for the input! Canon does make great lenses 😎
Just get the Sigma 85mm 1.4 art

I'm all about the cheaper options like this Viltrox!
It sure does the trick!

I have the same lens. I love it
1:22 *45 megapixels. Yep, I’m that guy. 🤓
