I'm a full time automotive photographer now and I have to say, it's probably the most fun I've ever had behind the camera. Another Genre of photography that I really enjoyed but don't do anymore is sports photography, especially Soccer or Futbol. It was always a blast capturing the emotion of the game. Great images, Chris.
Great tips! I just picked up a AMG myself. Next time hold down the left paddle when you hit the engine start. It activates "emotion start" and sounds wayyy cooler
Waaay better. I tend to nod off on most talking head videos or stop them half way through because they can drag, this felt like the time just skipped by. Love it. I shoot cars racing at motorsport events and haven’t yet done a static shoot, so this was 👍
This is really cool to see someone get into cars from a non enthusiast prospective. If this was another video about the AMG they would be talking about the specs, the shots would probably highlight a bit more of the performance prospective and worry a lot less about the scenery around the car. I’m just interested in taking a few pictures of my own car but this has really opened up my mind. I appreciate this
This video was really cool and really enjoyed it, which is saying something since anything about cars never really interests me normally! I would say if you enjoy making this style of video then yeah definitely keep doing it like this! But only if you really enjoy so that you don't overwork yourself and burn out 😃
Those shots of you guys talking at the beginning look amazing man. I usually see people get cool broll and that’s it, but you just go above and beyond with the production value in general here.
This was just fantastic. I'm just so glad to see I'm not the only one that gets kicked out by security pretty much everywhere I go. I can be shooting an image of a butterfly on a tree in a forest and security will freakin' stop by saying "Sir...is that a professional tripod and camera you are shooting on? Buuuu Byeeeeee....". Luckily Vancouver seems to be waaaaaay more understanding than the States...Thanks for all the great tips Chris!!
*pauses video to type comment* Damn the masked goon photos are a mark of genius!!! It added some awesome story telling to the photos. I can imagine some kind of Gone in 60 Seconds or Purge story behind it.
I really like the format of this video. It really puts the fun car show format in the mix with photography, and it's a format that could be explored more imo :)
Cars are quickly becoming one of my favorite things to shoot. Had a rental 2020 lime green Mustang GT for a weekend a few weeks ago. I still have about a dozen shots to edit from that weekend. Also really like the new format 👍🏻
I have only been doing photography for a short while (1 year), I always liked landscape and street images. But lately I have been exploring other avenues, been doing still life photography (which I love), tried product photography (again something I love and never thought I would) and yesterday I tried car photography which was hella fun. I have a rental car today whilst mine is having its service, I am really tempted to go and shoot some pictures of it. Cheers Chris for your videos :D
Bro, this park deck location is giving so much to your photos, those skyscrapers in the background, don't get me wrong, but almost everything would look badass with this background :D Keep it up - nice format, great shots!
We obviously all have dream cars we want to shoot. What is yours?
I'm sure this format was a lot more work, but I love the storytelling @Chris Hau looking forward to more of these!
I really want to experiment with strobes on cars, at some point... I'll take what I can get and work my way up hehe
ill love shooting a cayenne turbo
I CAN FALL IN LOVE WITH ANY CAR BUT THE MOST COLSEST TO MY HEART ARE FORD GT , AND MUSTANG
Missed the pinned comment but a dream car to shoot would be an original Ford GT or even the Saleen S7 🥰🥰
Who else is loving this documentary-like style? 🔥🔥
So fun to try a fresh format. Takes a lot long to create - but the result felt really good
@@thechrishau It really is worth it. Absolute quality content!

As an automotive photographer I would love nothing more than a Chris Hau automotive photo and video channel. Anyone else?

Loving the format you should do this for a production company shoot and have everyone on the team narrate from pre to post production
Interesting!

Update: new format is killer. I can’t imagine the time it takes to do but I’m super into it
Ngl, i was half expecting a brand new golf!

Hey Chris, out of all people who like to shoot cars... I am really glad you are one of them. Great stuff man.
Great tips! I just picked up a AMG myself. Next time hold down the left paddle when you hit the engine start. It activates "emotion start" and sounds wayyy cooler
Amazing Video the DUO: Lucas great job man, I love the way you slide the camera manually 9:13 "layer clouds blocking all the light"..
I thought it was sick af! Those photos with the guys is legit art. Something so random thrown together and BOOM!
Waaay better. I tend to nod off on most talking head videos or stop them half way through because they can drag, this felt like the time just skipped by. Love it.
I shoot cars racing at motorsport events and haven’t yet done a static shoot, so this was 👍
Love this format! Great job!!!
UA-cam influencers actually going out and doing photography/videography instead of junk b-roll of them drinking coffee. Bravo, Chris. Bravo.
I like how you have an entertaining dynamic that makes you very fun to watch you work

Dude killer new format. Loved this video! Excited for the next one
Love this new RAW content. Nothing pretentious or trying to make things look good. Just pure usage of skills to make a nice video!
MORE. CAR. PHOTOGRAPHY. YOU. LEGEND.
This coming from a fashion/lifestyle photographer who's been eyeing car photography for a while
The two random dudes were sick, and the photos were dope!!! I hope you gave them the shots :)
This video was really cool and really enjoyed it, which is saying something since anything about cars never really interests me normally! I would say if you enjoy making this style of video then yeah definitely keep doing it like this! But only if you really enjoy so that you don't overwork yourself and burn out 😃
