    What is this sorcery! I have heard for those filters for years but nobody really explained to me about them, just "dis good, you buy".
    Thanks for demonstrating live on how it change the reflections, I will not do anything glamorous like shotting cars but it will save me a great deal of time and frustration for some photoshoting I do for my wife's crafts. (especially those damn photoframes with the front glass that reflect my whole office).

    Thank you! I needed this and I was super curious about the amazon basics polarizer, I think I’ll grab one to try...but now what lens is the best to use if you can only choose one lens for automotive photography?(I have so many to shoot for work it’s just inventory so sadly it isn’t as fun as this tutorial😩)

    • @TheCarCreative
      @TheCarCreative  5 років тому

      Oh good! I'm glad it was helpful! When it comes to picking a great all around lens... firstly it depends what camera you are using? And if you're shooting inventory for cars, you probably need something with a wider focal length but don't want to be limited to that. I would likely recommend something like a 24-105, or 24-70mm potentially. Or maybe get a cheap wide lens for the inventory stuff, and then invest a bit more into a better lens for when you're shooting the cars you really want to make look good. I dunno, hard to say without knowing what camera you're using. Thanks for your interest!

    • @joeyschrama
      @joeyschrama 2 роки тому +1

      The noise is usually caused by shooting the pictures with high ISO. Try lowering your ISO and use a longer shutter time. It will get rid of most off the noise.
      Also photoshop and lightroom both have a function to remove noise and chromatic aberration (colored edges).

      Hey man, there is a whole video on the channel about about I work with car dealerships. Ultimately I had a connection and came very prepared with a pitch and lots of ideas of how to benefit the dealership, not myself. So many photographers are looking to create content for THEMSELVES and get access to cars, but dealerships don't need the content as they are often sent content from the global brand. You need to understand what the dealership needs and fill that gap for them in the content creation space.

      @@TheCarCreative Aha i need one of those!! They are incredibly quiet and deserve way more cred than a lot of nikon/canon cameras that have been honed for so long. also i want those other ones. I just use a Sony Alpha A65V with a 50mm 1.7 and a 18-55mm. Have you ever worked with film yet? I'm starting and it is a really interesting process.

      Weston Mackinnon I agree, love Sony for the hybrid vibes. They kill it on both photo and video fronts. Still love the Canon look for video but Sony does both well making it a daily weapon. Love it. I haven’t dabbled in film no, maybe someday!

    Hello,i get a little haze when i use my polarizing filter while shooting my car.
    Is this normal??

    • @Andychengg
      @Andychengg 4 роки тому

      Means your filter glass is garbage, can't cheap out much on filters

    • @TheCarCreative
      @TheCarCreative  4 роки тому +1

      Hey man! I don’t think that’s normal, I’d try and get something different, but I’ve never had that problem with affordable filters from amazon. I think i have both Amazon basics polarizer and a Polaroid version for my lenses. Could try those?

    Stupid question, do you need one of these if it's at night with only street lights?

    • @TheCarCreative
      @TheCarCreative  3 роки тому

      Not stupid at all. I would suggest using a CPL anytime you’re shootings cars. They are pretty much like mirrors and will pickup all kinds of lighting etc that you’ll want to remove in post. This helps a ton on the front end.

    I always have to much noise in my photos, do you know how to fix that?

    • @TheCarCreative
      @TheCarCreative  4 роки тому

      Jess Vijverberg are you shooting in Manual? Or auto? You likely just need to keep your ISO as looooow as you can and use the other settings to get better exposure.

      Been a while since I’ve done this edit. If you can see it, I would do my best to take it out with a brush or whatever your tool of choice is. You got a good eye so I’m sure your images will come out clean. 👌🏼

    Where’d you get your polarizer from

    • @TheCarCreative
      @TheCarCreative  5 років тому +2

      Hey! I just got an Amazon Basics Polarizer for now and it is doing the trick just fine for me! I think it was like $20 and makes a huge difference.

    I dont agree with buying cheap filters though. No good putting crap on a good lens.
