I followed your directions and the allen head was snugged tight so I did the next best thing. Sprayed some lithium grease in the mechanism.....who'd a thunk. worked like a charm. Great vids. Thanks for the insight and it got me to where I needed to be. A nice smooth working door handle.
@@EvanGoyuk Thanks man! You were one of the main people who helped me in making the decision! I'll keep u updated on her. So far Ive ordered a black grille, black front reflectors, and 2 new Michelin pilots for the front. Car's clean asf overall
On my Convertible, the passenger side door is hard to close, you have to press it really on the car and you can't just swing it to close. I'll try tomorrow if this helps
It worked well when I tighten the screw. The door handle was now smooth. So I went back to tighten some more and must have overtightened it because the screw now slips and doesn’t tighten anymore. Have I stripped the screw or perhaps the female part? Is there a way to fix that?
Thanks for the video. I truly appreciate this. I tried it on my recently acquired 2000 318ci. However, when I tried to turn the nut it doesn't turn left or right. Any advice for this?
My doors don’t have a spot with the rubber grommet and Allen key underneath. I checked the only rubber cap in the are of the door handle and didn’t see anything.
How do you open the same door if it is not opening from the outside and inside even after removing the door panel and trying opening it manually with the latch, still nothing so frustrating
Hey, im having an E90 and was about to replace the door lock actuator in a whole. It did fine, just until i tried to close and open the car with the remotekey. Somehow, the door doesn't lock with the remote key once the electronic thing is plugged in. The car doesnt lock any door and when i take the car on, i'm having an orange ! while the car runs. I tried 2 brand new door locks from "METZGER", nothing worked for me. Do you have any idea what's the problem? The wires look fine in that door. Thanks in advance!
I just tried this and tightening it didnt help. I know you have to tighten in thebopposite way but still even after i tightened it all the way it still didnt improve
my passenger door lock sticks real bad ,i coded the car to unlock both door with one press of the FOB , but the lock pin on the passenger side pops up like 1/2 way or 1/4 the way , and i have to keep locking and unlocking the car to get it to finally pop up and open the passenger door it is really annoyign when in need to put bundles in the passenger seat and i have to go in through the drivers door and unlock the passenger door any ideas on how to fix it without pressing the door panel ?
Hey bro my passenger door only does not work when unlocking with the remote I should open my self from the interieur for passenger but the door lock perfectly with everything when I lock the car Any suggestion ? Thanks

Thats been bugging me, thanks for this easy fix!
My handles seemed ok. I checked the screws just in case. They were tight. Its a 4mm Allen key.
Cool! I’m gonna try this, opening up the doors is like lifting a potato sack every time 🙄

Evan another great video.
Even if your screws are tight, loosen it then retighten it, fixed my door handles
this literally fixed my problem, thank you so much 😭

same happened to me today. then the screw fell inside the door. idk what to do now :D
Hey bro I have the passenger door doesn't open with central lock remotely on my e46 coupe any suggestion to fix ?
thanks

dont turn it
Dude when I pull my exterior handle drivers side it doesn't open the door would this be the cable thats stretched or the screw came loose?
Yes plastic guides hold on the cable and break off
My doors don’t have a spot with the rubber grommet and Allen key underneath. I checked the only rubber cap in the are of the door handle and didn’t see anything.
I have the same problem but on a sedan. Any chance you know if this method will work ? The handles also swing up by the way.
Thank you for making my shitbox less shitty
but my driver door in the right side, what should I do? clockwise or counter clock wise?

this works only on facelifted vertical lift handles. on pre 2001 models fizical key unlocker need to be removed.
it works on pull handles too. thats the kind of handles my car has.
Worked on my prefacelift
Thanks 👍🏻👊🏼 !

Did u fix it
What do you do if the screw is tight but it is still difficult to open?
Check the lock mechanism or replace it
@@EvanGoyuk Anything to clean or lubricate? A key locking or unlocking turns smoothly
Cleaning the lock mechanism with a toothbrush with Isopropyl alcohol seemed to help a lot. Then I added some White Lithium grease.
Damn.................Thanks!
Can someone explain what does it do exactly? I mean it work perfectly, but why? 😅
You are the savier
What to do if the doorhandle stucks open?
I would try to remove the handle and reseat it
What if I have no bolt there?://
