  • In this livestream I'll be looking at our nature for harsh self-criticism, where it comes from and ways to tame our inner critic to develop greater self-confidence, self-compassion, resilience and fulfillment. Hope to see you then

Love the idea of “can’t talk to or change a parrot-cover him up turn cat on him” very practical advice. Don’t waste your time.

Good reminder, thanks. They won't be nicer by my kindness. I try to be deliberately polite, though it's not my job to teach or show for them.

The slightest demeaning comment from myself is damaging. I am getting better.

Thank you for teaching us in such a kind, calm, easy to understand manner. It’s very healing how peaceful your lessons are, bc I had to learn from harsh sources as a child. Your videos replace the harsh voices in my memory with kindness. 🤍 So many great tips, esp writing positive balanced things and gratitudes down in our own handwriting as a visceral reminder, as evidence that good things happened. 43:42 The idea of not burdening ourselves trying to figure out someone else’s fantasy was so perfectly stated. Gold nugget thought that’ll stay with me forever. 🌟 ‘difficult is not the same as impossible’ ‘trying is risking succeeding’ ‘how would you advise a friend: stern but gentle’
I also had to laugh bc I do have a bouncy castle for my kids’ parties lol I should fill it up sometime just to relax in the ball pit part lol. I’m going to try to order the Paul Hauck book too, thanks for the recommendation.
