I’m a type 2 diabetic, negative experience, made my reflux worse, which then led to taking more medication for that, I didn’t want to eat at all after my weekly injection. The thing was my diabetes was under control and I was under the hab 1c that was needed to be able to go on it.

You will not lose muscle if you are eating enough protein and weight training for hypertrophy. “lose as much lean as fat” is a common misunderstanding wrongly attributed to GLP1 agonists. You will lose lean mass if you are at a caloric deficit without enough protein and not lifting. I have before and after DEXA scans to prove this. I’ve lost 60lbs of fat and gained 28 lbs of lean muscle while on Ozempic over the past year. (Some of this is muscle memory in my case as i’m no stranger to the gym) I have been fortunate that any side effects even at 2mg dose were minor. I think of GLP1 agonists as a useful tool for the right job - individual choice - weigh your own pros and cons…. It is not a magic wand - you still need to eat right and lift weights. At this point i’m no longer on it and sustaining the 9% body fat on a very low carb diet / high protein diet. 43 years old and in the best shape of my life. Thanks to HCK for all the great diet tips! Love your content!

I am a 65 year old man, and I have been obese most my life. I have been a type 2 diabetic for 30 years. I take 2000 mg of Metformin per day, and I have to inject insulin before meals to keep blood sugar stable. My doctor prescribed Ozemipic, and mentioned the side effects except for kidney disease and cancer. Since taking Ozempic, I've needed less food to be satisfied, and I've been able to reduce my insulin injections to less than half the dosage. My A1C has been a steady 6.2 for a year. My Ozempic experience has been positive.

My mom is on something similar. She was on ozempic but had some less than awesome side effects so transitioned to something else that is similar. For her, the pros far outweigh the cons. The weight loss has greatly increased her quality of life and, so far, has increased her life expectancy. She tried the more natural routes and, due to certain health conditions, could not push her self even during her outdoor walks. I say there is a time and place for this medication and depends on the person.

I am taking Mounjaro for my Type 2 diabetes. I've lost 45+ lbs so far. I'm eating a diet low in carbs and without added sugars. Pretty much the same way I lost 127 lbs a couple of decades ago without medication. I find the Mounjaro takes the edge off, but I still need to eat very carefully, high protein & fat. I don't really get the "Ozempic face" phenomenon. When you lose a lot of weight, it does lead to loose skin, and for me it seems the same with or without the med, so just "large weight-loss face." My A1c has dropped from 9.4 to 5, and my triglycerides, cholesterol, etc, are also where they should be. At 63, I think this is great.

Dr. Ken Berry did a thing on it, definitely should check out what he has to say. Ozempic has not been used on a long term patient so all those using it will be the long term results of what it's results will be.

My friend who’s a diabetic tried it it was given to her by the doctor but she stopped taking it pretty quickly cause of how many bad side effects she had. Also my sister who’s a diabetic is taking it and seems to be doing well loosing weight. What I can say is that both of the people mentioned above did not made any dietary changes nor did they started walking so people are just taking it like a miracle pill instead of tackling the root issue

hmmmm... i use rybelsus, a danish drug similar to ozempic in that it also contains semaglutide... there are two phases for the dosage... the first phase is 30 days on 3mg after which the dosage is increased to 6mg i think... anyways, i'll find out more about the second phase next week... the side-effects i've noticed to date is rather loose 'number 2s' and irritable eyes...
so far i would say my experience is certainly not negative... it will take time to discover whether my experience turns out to be positive...

My doctor put me on ozempic for weight loss and diabetes. It seems to have helped the diabetes but no weight loss. I have been on it for about 2 years. I am now in a medical program that is a keto diet and I am starting my 4th week and I have lost nearly 14 pounds.

I would look into GLP-1s such as Mounjaro, zepbound that give more weight loss. Ozempic is just a GLP.

I'm using We give for weight loss right now. I haven't seen you much weight loss and it's been about 3 & 1/2 months. Now that I hear this, not sure it's worth it. If Berberine is natural. Do you think it could be used at the same time as Wegovy?

That’s the short list. Heard someone actually died two months ago when they ate a bad food… and because the drug paralyzes the stomach digestion, the body couldn’t expel the toxins and the person died. Paralyzing your digestion should never be acceptable as a norm.

the drug doesnt paralyze the stomach digestion. Gastroparesis is a rare rare side effect of the medication. It slows your digestion, does not paralyze.

My experience has been amazing on GLP, GLP-1s. It has helped me lose 30lbs and still going after struggling for years with pcos, debilitating endometriosis. I feel better. There is so much negativity about these drugs by people who do not research and have opinions already made on it. I think its important to cover the difference with Ozempic to Mounjaro, Zepbound, and compounds people are using. There is going to be a lot of bias research and opinions on these types of medications so i think its important to know that having these convos with others

This isn’t really helpful. You could do the research and figure out how to take this medication and avoid these side effects. Also, you should mention not everyone experiences these side effects. Some of these side effects less than 1% will experience them.
