So elegant and economy of movement, 2 of the many things I'm striving towards. Thank you
What a beautiful piece of work!
That is Beautiful!!!! Thank you for sharing.
So beautiful!
Thank you master Lin, you always help calm my soul and help to recenter.
Beautiful shape! I love to watch you throw
Beautiful!
Wow awesome!!!!!!
Magnifique !
How did you glaze it?
What type of porcelain do you use? I throw dry I only average maybe 2 oz of water maybe for three pounds, catch pan is always dry. But the porcelain I’m using is just crazy sensitive, and after I throw my cyclinder (specially larger, inner fingers go dry fast; and I re use the slip. When doing five pounds or more I have not been able to use just two oz, I’m up to 4-6, due to my hands sticking mainly on the inside since I shape with a metal ribbon the outside. Even then at times the rib almost grabs. I don’t have this issue with normal clay but I do with porcelain. Love this shape definitely will try it in the next few days. Probably take me a few crashes to get it some what close and then a few more times. I still can’t pull the walls up like you do. I can’t twist my right hand inverted, but neat how you do it.
My Porcelain: Coleman porcelain mix with Glacia porcelain (from local store called clay planet) at 2:1 ratio. If you fire to cone 10, you can just use Coleman porcelain by itself.
How do you even trim something like this?
Trim on a chuck.
Did it really take you only 12 minutes to throw that wonderful piece or has the video been sped up slightly? Either way, it's great as usual. You have taught me so much about throwing. Thank you for all your incredible videos!
I sped up a bit. It took me about 24 min. Most people don’t have patience to watch long videos. I pay attention to form details more than the throwing speed.
Hi! This is awesome! Could you please link the song here too?
The music was downloaded from iMovie “Gold” by Rob Simonsen
