Make sure to check out our short and sweet video where we briefly cover how all five bikes tested over multiple days of riding, as well as these bike-specific videos. Make sure to keep an eye out as we release the rest of the line-up as the week goes on.

Loving my 22’ KTM 150 for sure in the tight, Rocky, slow single track here in Pa. Ping is right, you can really idle it down slow when needed.

Sounds like this would be great for an older rider, as it takes the slow well, and is very light.

I just sold my 2017 ktm xc 150, was a great bike. Really easy to flick around. It's great a great bike to move up to from an 85, it felt pretty similar to the 85 when I moved up light, agile, and it likes to scream. I recommend Enduro kids to get an xc150 at 14, i race an FIM championship and they let me race the 250f class on that bike, it's an easy to ride 2stroke. The only bad thing on that bike was the suspension, i never got it set up the right way

200 two strokes are optimal, right at that weight power magic window

For anyone watching this video turned off by the lack of adjustment for air-fuel mixture. Husqvarna will lie to everyone about the power valve adjustment . Turns down the low end chug ability of this bike but opens up the top end. Their are also a number of different mods you can make but it’s easiest to start there and is something you CAN do on the trail. Ive had my 2020 te150i sense new off the showroom floor and have never second guessed it. Did a TSP head and tune with a Scalvini pipe and their adjustable idle screw through the power valve (not the air bypass screw) on it during my top end rebuild at 65 hours. Really wakes the bike up, recommend it to everyone riding these bikes. Next is the injector relocation kit. Realistically I would say this bike is for people looking to pay around with it (mechanically). But it still rides very well off the showroom.

They never heard of the idle screw mod and turn out the power valve half to one turn. That would crisp it up make it easier.

how do you guys think the Ktm 125xc would stack up in this shootout? I feel like it would be a little more racey than a few of these bikes.

I would really like to see you guys do a shoot out with peoples project 125cc motocross bikes that have been over bored to 150’s (144cc). I’d like to see a newer KTM 150sx in the mix to see how they stack up against it. How about it fellas?
I’m getting pretty close to finishing my 1998 Honda CR 125 build if you would like to use it in a shoot out like that. Complete motor rebuild and 144cc overbore by Millennium Technologies, Lectron carb, and suspension done by Graeme Brough who you guys probably know. He was with FMF before he was a factory suspension tuner for both Kawasaki and Honda.

Heard several fella's say that if the temp is cold, the TPI runs rich.

My 22 te150i does fine in negative temps at 8-9k feet.

I have a 21 te150i and it's definitely cold blooded. You gotta let it warm up a solid 10 mins or maybe even a little more on cold days especially. If you hop on it early the motor feels like shit and bogs very easily. It's not good on the motor too. So do listen to the carburetor guys telling ya to rev it while warming up or ride it around slow. It is really noticeable when the fueling gets off the warm up map and running normal.

Washed my bike for the 1st time @17hrs art/total. Runs horribly at low reves. Suspect the ccp sensor doesn't like water.

What if one weighs 205lbs? I'm thinking the beta 200, or Rieju 200...but I'm unsure of their reliability. Also, I'm worried that a 150 won't have the beans to carry me around at 205lbs.

From what I'm hearing from multiple sources, the Rieju is bulletproof.

do u think this bike's faster than the CRF-150r ?

    • @samueldamini2178
      @samueldamini2178 2 роки тому

Yes much faster. A 85 two stroke races with a 150 four stroke. 150 two stroke is a full sized bike with a smaller displacement engine

Small bore bikes can pull big guys, period! I’m a 210lb B vet woods rider in MO. I have a 2022 KTM 125 xc with an FMF fatty pipe and an RK-TEK head and it rips in the woods!! I do run VP T2 in all my 2 strokes but it rips on high octane pump gas too. I’ve also got a 2018 300 xc-w six days that’s decked out, lectron carb, v-force reeds, FMF fatty pipe, full treatment from kreft moto. I don’t ride the 300 anymore. The 125 xc is so light and nimble and as long as you’re willing to shift and fan the clutch it’s amaze-balls. I took both bikes to Moab last year, I’d planned to ride the 300 and have the 125 in case I needed a back up bike. I ended up riding the 125 the whole time. Fins n things, hells revenge, slick rock trail, it pulled all the climbs there NO problem. I took the 300 up poison spider but regretted it, the 125 would have been way more fun and pulled all those technical climbs. I’ve had a bunch of bikes over the years. The 300 and 125 I have now, a 2021 KTM 250 xcf, and a 2019 KTM 450 xcf, a gas gas 300 trials bike. I had a 1190 adventure r too. I’m plenty comfortable on big powerful bikes. The 125 has been my favorite by far! Moab is as high as I’ve had the 125, I’ve been told if you much higher than that (6K ft above sea level) the 125 just won’t pull, but, it’s done really well for me from Moab to MO.

You’re not wrong, a 200cc motor in this bike would be killer and I have this same bike lol.
