Nice video, I’ve got 6 working here with no problems, I like the scheduling function very handy for Christmas lights and the winter months for our dehumidifier. In my opinion much better than the amazon smart plugs. Thinking of adding the energy monitoring one soon.

say 10 miles from home but with a good mobile signal on my phone . . I don’t need Alexa or Google Home can I just use it like in the video by just using

These worked fine until I needed to re set one up and I found the software had changed such that you had to have a WiFi password. Sadly my system uses no password and as such I could no longer set up the software. I would add a password to my system but I have many different devices connected to my network and reconfiguring every one to add a password is too much trouble simply to get this smart plug set up again. Is there a way around this to allow me to join my Wifi network that does not use a password?

Stupid (but for me, important) question time:
I presume that "through the plaster" overhead lights as my house has will NOT work under any circumstances as they are hard wired rather than terminating into an outlet?

@@GeekStreet How could it? An overhead light that when the house was constructed, the carpenters broke through the plaster. It has no cord. A ceiling lamp. The cable is often in the attic. Sorry if I can't explain it better...Unless the bulb itself has a receiver on it that connects to wifi, lol? Not impossible I guess...

Greet Vid, why is it necessary to have an account? Seems like just another way for the manufacturer to be nosey. I see no purpose in having an account with the manufacturer just to use a timer. I canceled my purchase of this item. Thanks for posting. I needed to know this.
