Bad programming could’ve been done in half the time and bad tool choices way too long on lengths

Considering that the doors do not open, we can assume that this is a machine with automatic cutter replacement.
I think that this is excessive automation, because it is not difficult for the machine operator to change cutters and before installing them, for high-quality operation of the machine, he must check the integrity of the cutter.
And the program was also written incorrectly: when removing several centimeters of metal, it is necessary to turn on the cooling to avoid overheating the cutter and putting it out of order. In other cases, it was possible to reduce the cooling pressure, but this is not necessary, because this only slightly increases the energy consumption of the machine and does not affect the quality of the part or durability of the cutter

      因为加工方向不是根据失真运转方向决定的,而是以刀具在工件的左侧决定的,所以加工外圆是顺时针加工内圆为逆时针,保持刀具在工件的左侧(既为顺铣)

Normal not all pieces need 5 axis, in my workplace 70% of the time i just use 3 axis and even the rest most of the times i dont even use the full capabilities most of the tollpaths dont even need continuous 5 axis. with the rigth tolls you can cut the necessity to use all 5axis and if you use them you sacrifice rigidity...

Programmed and ran the Hermle. One of the finest 5 axis machines. I think God has one in his shop.

If I had one of these in my house, my shoes, sunglasses and hat would all be made out of CNC metal for real.

Typical "demo" big hunk of steel in an ideal clamping. Lots of extraneous metal removal making a useless paperweight. Overly big retractions and R planes.

It’s definitely aluminum. Ran lots of parts like this as a weld tooling designer. Sometimes starting with a well clamped piece even if you have to rough a lot of it off just makes it faster and when you’ve got more work than spindles it helps. Had this discussion with lots of people who never touched a cnc controller.

@@loganjetton6134 AS senior manufacturing engineer and programmer at PBR (corvette Z06 calipers etc.) Once the biggest Okuma site in the southern hemisphere and over 100 cnc in one plant alone (various Mazak Fanuc Mitsubishi Heidenhahn Matsuura Siemens etc.) we rationalised down to a single machine supplier Chiron FZ22w with 840D. Merely stating that this is a typical demo with ideal conditions producing a paperweight..

      Agreed ...
In my shop we use a band saw or even a chop saw to take out the overage ...
Oh and we don't use the 5-axis for anything under a 4-axis job ...
That would have gone in our HAAS or if it needed the rpm's the robodrill ...

      Why…?
When speeds and feeds are good, it sounds good. It’s a damn orchestra as they say.
This however, had very few good sounding tool paths, so why bother knowing the bad feeds and speeds? I can’t force myself to finish this vid. Sorry! I’m out.
