We do Reubens, corned beef or Turkey this way. Build the sandwich like he did and just push the toast button. It will need flipped and maybe a couple sessions of toasting per side. We haven’t figured out how to adjust our toast setting. Lol. Of course you can bake it like he did too. PS squeeze the juice from the sauerkraut first.
About 3 years ago I starting watching your show and became interested in cooking. I've overcooked, undercooked, experminted, had success and failures since starting my cooking journey. My wife has been the cook in the family and she is amazing. She loves cooking. She is the cafeteria manager at a local elementary school and she has several parents and staff eat in her cafeteria because she creates a masterpiece each day and it is amazing. Well, recently she had an unexpected heart attack and she is in her early 50's. She is healthy and the Dr's cannot pinpoint the reason but she had to have open heart surgery. Well for the next several weeks I will need to feed 2 teenage boys, a college age boy, my wife and me. While this will be a challenge, I am ready for it. I have watched, learned, and tried. My confidence has grown in my cooking ability. Sam and team, thank you. Your show has inspired me and I am prepares for this time. Thank you.
This video blew me away! As a Secret Santa gift about 7 years ago I was given a toaster oven but I just wanted a toaster for bread. I have had this toaster oven still sealed in it's box, never been used. After watching this video today I took it out of the closet and will place in on my kitchen counter! Thank you Sam and guys! I'm a single guy and I know this video has inspired me to use this toaster oven finally!!!
I have a Breville toaster oven...and use it for everything I haven't used my reg. Oven in months ...I've cooked lasagnas, cabbage rolls, pizzas, casseroles...baked cake, muffins...I love the fact it pre heats fast, doesn't heat up the house, the timer shuts off the oven...it's convection. I love it.
I have the breville too! Isn’t it amazing! I’ve been raving about it to people for years, when u have that oven u don’t even need an air fryer. Isn’t it so much easier than having to preheat an entire oven? And the even heating is of the convection is the cherry on top 😻😻😻
@@erica_thecreator absolutely love it, I have had it for about 7 years now can't remember life without it. Bought one for my daughter when she went to school a few yrs. Ago...it's a must have for sure!
Yo, I did that out of necessity when my landlord wouldn't fix the oven and cook top 40 year ago. I cooked amazing stuff out of that toaster oven! Now I think I need expensive crap to get it done. Thanks for the reminder. Now I'm on a mission.😃
I know I am addicted to STCG when I am at work and everytime my phone beeps I am looking down hoping it’s my UA-cam notifying me that a new episode is out. Thank you guys so much for just be relatable, funny and just ordinary guys even thou to the UA-cam world and culinary world you guys are legendary.
Easy to use. This version does not have a digital timer ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxRDB_bcaZEIluKD5LMPVlvPAA2E1HbFNo but to be honest the analog timer works well --- plus when cooking you often check things and there is probably a clock on your stove, one on your phone, on your wall, etc ...We have cooked a few things using the air fryer, some with the bake/air fryer combo. Also, it toasts bagels perfectly ... or as perfect as you can heat up bread. The air fryer basket takes some scrubbing, sometimes, to get it clean --- but that is the same with any wire basket. Maybe one minute if cheese or something gets on it.
Same. Like those smaller frozen things that say "conventional oven" I just use the toaster oven. Or even just 1-2 serving items. It's a great investment, especially if you live in a dorm or a place with no oven. Or just lazy and don't want to leave the room lol.
I'd never used toaster ovens until last year. The microwave kicked the bucket, and due to the pandemic, we couldn't get a repairman out for a month. He finally came, and determined he needed to replace a part, and it would be another month before he could even get one, then more time to find an appointment slot. So I dropped a little cash on a toaster to quickly reheat leftovers while the microwave was down. Anyhow, I now use the toaster A LOT.
Yep, me too. My flooring guys broke my oven plug and I realized that I can make ALMOST EVERYTHING in my Oster French Door air fryer toaster. Most friends don't know my Thanksgiving contribution was cooked in a toaster. Saves energy. My next project is a whole roast chicken 🍗. I CAN DO IT!! 😁
Count me in as a toaster oven convert. I'm not cooking for a traditional family from the 50s, so why bother with that big heaty box thing? I had mine from before toaster ovens were expected to be used for larger dinners so I did have to resort to the big boy sometimes, but if it fits, it sitz, in the toaster oven. My pièce de résistance had to be a venison roast, it came out SO perfect.
When I was in College my parents had a restaurant. Any time I came home they’d let me raid the walk-in boxes before I went back. I’d a Ways grab some steaks, some onions and potatoes. I had a toaster oven and a single plug-in burner in my dorm so I’d bake the potatoes in the toaster oven and fry up the onions and cook the steaks on the burner. The only time we locked the door to our dorm was on steak night, people would smell it and just pound on the door begging for a bite.
My favorite way to cook a steak involves a toaster oven. Glad to see it included here. My method: Preheat it to 375°. Sear the steak on each side for 1 minute. Put probe thermometer in the steak and place it inside toaster oven with blue cheese crumbles on top. At 125° remove steak and let it rest.
Garlic on the outside is the absolute KEY to a great grilled sandwich!! I love it, and have made them this way for years! I also add onion inside. So delicious!
So glad this subject was covered! So many I know are addicted to their microwaves, and seldom use a toaster oven, or any other modern cooking device. Helps if you have a decent quality one with versatile racks. You do have to learn to use them. I have used a good model Oster for over 20 years.
I just got my first one because I noticed in the houses I was cleaning used the heck out of toaster ovens but their microwaves were practically pristine. I wanted to know what the hype was so I got a cheap 20 dollar one. I've only made toast so far, but I've already decided that when the 20 dollar one gives out I'm getting a nicer one.
I've done a small 2 bone prime rib in my toaster oven. Internal temp of 125° after about 2.5hrs at 400°. One of the best prime ribs I've ever had. I use my toaster oven for just about everything.

Ohh a toaster oven episode. Nice! I have been hotel living and, after that, living in one of those extended stay kinda deals while looking for an apartment. I have a stove top, but no oven. Learning to taster oven cook has been amazing. I have a really basic, and kinda small one though. As in a Totino's Pizza barely fits in it. But I am gonna have to try some of these. i know I have fried some chicken in oil with my cast iron and finished it in my toaster oven and it was amazing! Thanks Boys!

Hi Sam, that bump out in the back is to accommodate a full size pizza! We've used our toaster oven for 2 years now. Makes the best of a lot of things. Great video, thanks.
About a year ago, maybe longer, we bought an Oster toaster oven, with the french doors. It's large enough to cook anything we want. We have not used our regular oven since, and even cut down on the use of the stove dramatically. My air fryer is put up because e even quit using it. The latest thing I cooked in the toaster oven was fried bologna sandwiches. lol. That steak and cheese samwich looks awesome.

#1 Rule- ask forgiveness rather than permission. How are they gonna know you have a toaster, if you don't tell them?
Air fryer?
Just unplug it when it's not in use.
Look into microwave cookware and cooking. Yes, you can cook in the microwave and the food will often be more nutritious that way

I’m proud of you Sam, you’re due for another rematch against a pressure cooker. I believe in you big guy, you can do it!
I can only use my Faberware™ toaster oven. Small kitchen, my oven is basically a cupboard for my too many pans.
We use our toaster oven multiple times daily. Found that covering the shelves and the crumb catcher tray with foil makes cleaning easy.
Heavy foil also makes a good heat barrier to the lower coil for use without a pan for many things.

Hi Sam, that bump out in the back is to accommodate a full size pizza! We've used our toaster oven for 2 years now. Makes the best of a lot of things. Great video, thanks.
I have this same toaster oven. It most definitely cannot fit a full size pizza.
A printable version for the salmon recipe would be great.
You need a polarizing lens for your camera to help eliminate the reflection from the toaster oven window.
This is the STCG I know and love! Great episode!
IT ALL LOOKS SO AWESOME, WILL HAVE TO TRY.
Diced sundried tomatoes on that pizza. If you get the ones in oil, you can just use a bit of the oil at the end too.
Loved the Curb reference…prettyy pretttaaayy pretty good
this video just saved me a lot of money 💰 great thanks !
I definitely used my toaster oven a lot when I was single. Now I use my air fryer. I have a oven tray style air fryer. Have my toaster oven away!
Like the pizza! Going to try using garlic powder on grilled cheese. Great ideas.
I swear every time I watch these videos there's always a father son moment of talking shit to each other and "that's what she said" to. Lol
Pretty Good, Pretty pretty pretty good. I love the curb reference
I love my toaster oven. This episode makes me love it even more.
Been watching your channel for a year now... the best of the best! Prettyyyyy prettttyyyy prettttyyyyyyyy good ;) I learn so much! Thanks :D
Tried the steak like this tonight and it came out great! Thanks!
