I can’t rondo has more patient playmaking on essentially coaching on court whereas Westbrook is more off of driving and dishing or passing to a trailing player off a fastbreak for an easier finish
@@lotuslife3239 not in high school nor in college, Westbrook got to UCLA on the final day when everyone else was already recruited in 2005 while he got his letter in 2006. Rondo got his letter in January of 04 and was 5 in the nation. Westbrook wasn't even ranked in SoCal hence why he was called a fluke because those who were in SoCal high schools and colleges didn't know who he was at Leuzinger and definitely thought he was a reach at UCLA. For the record Chase Budinger was ahead in all the Californian prospects. So yes his NBA career has gone well and I hope he keeps that fire that propelled him here in the first place. However, I'll still know him as the guard who got to UCLA because Farmar left. Lastly I feel he's a great inspiration to tell kids who aren't looked at like James Harden and Jrue Holiday who were five star recruits, if you can't shoot as well but can find a niche and do it better than most you will find a spot in the pros. @@mattmannlvca i like to give Westbrook benefit of the doubt that he was 5'7 up until senior year so he couldnt really develop his game at the same level of guys like Rondo, Rose, Wall, etc. Who were full grown for most of high school. CJ McCullom was short like that too and had a growth spurt but CJ knew he wanted to play basketball from very young. Westbrook played with his best friend but only thought of it as a real career chance when his friend died and he got the growth spurt. Team player wise im sure Doc Rivers is the most overrated coach of all time and Rondo was basically the brains of the 08 Celtics, but individually i think it would be sad watching Rondo try to guard Westbrook 1 on 1. Difference in play though is Rondo is paid to set up teammates, he has never been a contract in which he had to be a main contributor on offense. From the beginning Westbrook has had to be a scorer too even with a bad shot. You dont get drafted 1st round to a team as bad as that and play like Rondo. No scorers outside of KD meant he had to basically slash and get the shit going from the beginning.
