I have a 2020HD AT4. The interior is fine. It’s a truck. I tow stuff. Works great. I don’t expect it to have same interior as my Audi or Tesla. I bought it for towing.

I just recently sold my 2006 Duramax Silverado 2500HD I've owned for 11 years, Sold in 1 day for more than I paid for it (Take it easy IRS). Just purchased the new 2021 3500HD Duramax SLT GMC Sierra. Totally love it and the interior is way more plush than I would expect for a great RV towing rig! The exterior is one of the best looking trucks I've seen (My opinion). It drives great. Thanks for the interesting vid! "Subscribed" :)

The one thing seemingly all GM and Chevy HD truck reviewers forget to mention about the 2020 trucks is their all wheel drive setting. GM is the only truck manufacturer to include ALL WHEEL Drive. This feature is a game changer for anyone who live in regions of NA that get winter. So you get standard 2, 4 and all wheel drive settings. All wheel give you traction control by sharing power to all four wheels, without the wear of four wheel drive on your front drive train.

@@mattcaesar5781 auto four wheel drive is similar to all wheel drive based on in this case rear wheel slippage and auto transfer of power to the other two wheels. And yes, while half tons have had it for 15 plus years, GM in 2020 reintroduced on their HD truck lines. Line I stated earlier - the only truck manufacturer to offer this feature.

    • @mattcaesar5781
      @mattcaesar5781 3 роки тому +1

@@winkdinkerson7190 all wheel drive cars are constantly feeding power to the front tires even when the back tires have traction. Auto 4wd only sends power to the front during slippage of the rear. Also awd models use an open diff in the front so you can turn easy while power is being delivered. I get what your saying but awd is meant to be kept on all the time. Auto 4wd is meant for certain conditions. Not saying your wrong its just where im from it means two different things. All bad points are valid. I've had my 2020 Sierra HD Denali for a year now and it needs pedal adjustment, seatbelt adjuster, real metal AC knobs, RAIN SENSE WIPERS, a larger screen, and a TAILGATE OPEN SENSOR. I have a bed cover and can't see when my tailgate is down. If it messages me when I disconnect my trailer it should message me when I forget my tailgate down! Good video.

Its nice that the rear camera mirror is available in the WT trim. My brother is shopping for an HD truck for his marine service business and that would be a big plus with a cap on the bed to store his tools. He could also get a very secure cap with no windows and still have all the visibility. Especially important since he will be towing 10k-20k lbs boats.

Hi Tim, hope all is well and Happy New Year! Lots of enjoyment with your new truck (2022 Tundra). I really enjoyed your video of your drive from Texas after taking delivery.
I bought a 2021 Silverado RST with the 6.2 about a month ago. I am really liking it. It is my first truck (I traded a 2018 Audi A5 Sportback AND a 2011 Jetta SE for it!). Trucks are their own animal and give our daily lives just a little extra, no matter the circumstances. If I have to mention something I would like to see improved, it is the brake pedal feel, not as refined as what I am used to. I will ask the dealer if larger discs can be fitted.
All the best to you and your family. I like your videos a lot, whether indoors (house) or outdoors (vehicles). And your conversations with Jill are very informative. Thank you to both.

Great video! I think any and all pickups should be practical. You should be able to get to the dip stick and oil at the average height range. (5'6" - 6'). I think GMC stopped the belt and pedal adjusters because people didn't use them enough to merit continuing them.

I have a 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 LTZ. picked it up Nov.1st it now has close to 13k on it. Love the truck. I drove the Ram and Ford before purchasing the Chevy. The Chevy road much better unloaded by far in my opinion. Most of my driving I am not towing. My overall mpg is 18mpg. My highway mpg on the last trip over 400 miles was 20.8 hand calculated. Towing my travel trailer is around 11 to 13, my tractor and trailer 10 to 12. The travel trailer weighs around 7k and the tractor and trailer around 12k. I also towed a 6x12 Uhaul 200 plus miles and was getting 16 to 18. Going from a 2006 Chevy 2500 to this 2020 I dont have anything to complain about. Oh I'm 5'8" and I carry a collapsible stool! Finally the reason I didn't get the Denali is because of the multipro tailgate. I use ramps to drive a commercial ZTR in the bed. With me on it it is over 1000 pounds. I was afraid the tailgate wouldn't hold up. I couldn't get anyone at a dealership or at GM to give me a weight rating on the multipro. Best I could get was in the step position it was rated for 350 pounds.

    • @Pickuptrucktalk

It's my understanding that the Chevy/GMC HD trucks do not have adaptive cruise control. All they have is a distance following display, but all that does is tell you you're following too close. You still have to manually disengage the cruise control or switch lanes. This is a sore point for a lot of people paying $75k for a truck. Ford and Ram have it, but GM doesn't. But there is no adaptive cruise control, as is found on the 1500 series.

    #5 you say?
    - Slow compared to Ford's 475hp 1050tq
-5th wheel center is behind the axle this year. And if you don't think that matters, tow a heavy 5th wheel with it. Horrible steering, headlights in the sky.
    - That tailgate everyone likes? Great for people that don't use your hitch. If you do use your hitch, as most people will do that are buying heavy duty trucks, you can't use it.
    - That exhaust pipe. Common. Seriously. Is that the best design GM could come up with? Looks like someone bought a piece of pipe from HD and threw it under the truck. Zero thought put in to it.
-I could say the same exact thing about those mirrors. Look at the mirrors or exhaust on the diesel Ford.
    - Look at the sunroof on the Denali compared to any Ford with their full sun roof. Enormous difference.
    - Seat quality. GM has the hardest seats. Number one thing I noticed over and over going through the big 3.
With all that being said, I agree it's the best looking. But I'm not buying a truck for looks.

The interior is an epic fail. The roller on the steering wheel, silver knobs, relocation of the brake controller and moving tow haul from the shifter. All fails not to mention the leather that looks cheap. My 2014 1500 interior is much nicer.
The 2500 2020 hd rides the best down the road vs ford and Ram. The 10 speed also makes the drivability of the truck excellent.
Even with the interior complaints I will buy this style for the, ride, duramax and outside styling.
