Thanks for stopping by, If you want to check out my range of Dragon eggs for sale you can check them out here www.etsy.com/shop/bensworx Have a great day :)
I have been trying to get in touch with you. I am really upset because I bought one of your dragon eggs about 2 weeks or so ago from your Etsy shop and I still have not received it.
I did something similar for my son's book week at school but Ron's broken wand with unicorn hair sticking out and nobody believed his dad had made it they all thought it was shop bought it was great he loved it
Nicely done. I love the simple tool approach to this wand. I think the only think I would change is to use a wood stain instead of paint in hopes of keeping more of the wood character. If you do another wand with an acrylic insert, maybe you can try to embed something so that everything can see what the 'heart' of the wand is made of.
That was great! All the lathe wands have a sameness because a lathe has certain limits, unless the person is pushing a lot of hand work to replicate one of the movie wands. Change the tools and it changes the look. This is more like the ones I saw fifty years ago when you went to a tree at midnight, cut a branch with your arthame, and stripped off the bark at home.
Thanks Ben, about to finally get a shed, so looking for a bunch of fun nerdy projects to do with my kids. This has definitely made it to my list, great channel, keep it up 👍
Went to find a diy wand video, so I can make a wand for my daughter for Halloween. Was not disappointed! Found this video, and it was all I needed 🙏 Thanks, and keep up the good work 👍
You have opened me up to the world of resin! I’m a newbie wand maker (just released a video about it) and I have fallen in love with the craft so want to learn more……resin being the next big challenge. Thank you for making these videos!!
I just like the fact that you used tools that most of us would actually be able to get(not all of us have access to something that may seem as simple as a bandsaw to most DIY crafters, and to own one is a nightmare if you don't have the capital and space to use it).
Could the tape trick be used if we wanted to make an exposed resin, like an inlay spot in the handle? Basically drill away a hole in the handle, then add tape as you did to lock it in until set? Or would there be a better technique for that.
The wand turns out very beautiful! It is a good example that there is no expensive tools needed to creat something awesomelooking and playable. Only the resin part i think should be done by adults/parents. Nice Clip! For wood acrylic colores are very useful and could be mixed in any shade you want.
I love the idea of the the resin part in the wand, it would be amazing to have the “unicorn hair” or “dragon heartstring” being visible in the wand~! 💖💖💖💖💖 I need to honestly get started on designing mine 😅
I recently found your channel and I am loving your work. That was a great idea, and a very approachable method for all skill levels. Thank You good sir.
A suggestion if you ever make another - use a thick hair or even a red feather in clear resin "connecting" the two halves of the wand - as its unicorn/veela hair or phoenix feather core
Aren't you a Mr. Smarty Pants! I love it, and what a great idea, especially to get kids involved with making cool things. By the way the pendant I purchased on Etsy is gorgeous, and I couldn't be happier! I just have to remember to write a review. Thanks Ben!!
5:06 - have seen that "hack" many times here on YT, always asking myself, why would someone buy a drill without the lock button , or is in USA the drill whit lock button hard to get, like is dado blade in EU ? Any way.. another nice video from Ben, thanks for upload.
I wonder if I could apply the same technique to making a walking stick I was thinking about starting with about a 3 and 1/2 to 4 foot piece of closet pole
Ben didnt ask me to like and subscribe... so i liked and subscribed 😁 I was about to comment why didnt you use a dremel, but you answered that for me 😅 crafted a wand yesterday and came looking for others. This one is a beauty!
I wanted to guess a wand on the patreon page but i thought I was way off. LoL It is a cool piece thank you for continuing to share your creations with us.
Applaud the "low tools" approach, but who's got a vise as a "first purchase(s)" and how would you stabilize a drill if you didn't? (The only reason I've got access to a vise is my dad mounted it on an old cabinet, so my mother didn't bother to sell it off when he died. I don't technically have a vise of my own.
Would really love to see you add led to your resin cast on the wand, both in the middle there, and maybe running a clear pour “through” the center to the tip.
When you put the tape on, I honestly thought you were going to stab it with a needle and string the resin in. 😂😅 whoops I was wrong, knowing me, I would make less mess with the syringe, I’m always surprised when people pour so precisely 😂
Beautiful dog! 💜 What’s her name? (I’m guessing a girl because of the bow on her collar.😄) Oh and, yeah, nice wand! 😂😂 Seriously, I really enjoyed watching you make it. I was wondering, at first, why you weren’t using your lathe. Then I thought exactly what you said about the tools most people might have. Looking at the finished wand, I think it wouldn’t have looked quite so “authentic” if you had used the lathe. 😄 Thanks for another great video! 👍🏼 ~ Roma

@@BensWorx hey what's the core, length, flexibility, and wood? it looks like its a unicorn hair core
You should get some color changing wax to add after paint the wand comes out so cool. Graphic 45 and Prima slots of options.

I love the chiselled look, also the wood splinters in the resin is awesome
Thankyou

This Clip deserves more likes than I can give ❤
Cute! And I appreciate that you used a drill to do this project. Great work, Ben.

@@BensWorx 😁👍😁
I would love to see if it would be possible if that wand could end up in one of the next Harry Potter spin-off
👍
Very cool technique, thanks for sharing the breakaway concept
Thanks Gordy
I’ve been making wands as Colevanders for 13 years and even sell on Etsy and that’s a wand I’d be proud to have on my store. Well done!

That's cool and like the music as well it's quite relaxing listening to as well
Absolutely the coolest! Tasmanian Oak must be a sturdy wood to take so long to pare down to the tip! Well done!
Thanks Ellen, yeah it’s pretty good wood
That is AWESOME!!! Now, I just need a drill... lol. All's I have is carving knives and chisels. But still gonna try it :D
Beautiful wand.
I jus rewatched dis 1 if mak another1 u can put a light in it or on da tip

Really nice use of the resin.
Thanks Mate
Really nice, Ben. The resin in the middle was a good touch. As always, you did a great job.
Thanks William

I was thinking something similar with a crystal inside.
Love! I want one. Great work!
Thanks Katie
Very creative stuff.
Thanks Mate
I make my own wands, and I love making them.

👍
Love your videos. Please do a masters of the universe project😀
Thanks Mate, I’ll look into it
Pretty. Very pretty
I'll definitely be sharing this video!
Great idea and greater way to reach the goal. Thanks for showing now I have to discuss this with my daughter. Greetings from Germany, Sascha
Thanks Sascha

Thanks Kenn
Is it possible, do you think, to whittle this out of a stick (Minus the resin) and then sand and use a Dremel?
Very user friendly! Thanks Ben😃
No worries mate 👍
Super cool 😁💙
Thanks Kristine
Excellent mate, thank you.
It’s really cool and very nice I loved it
Thanks Lorissa
Dang bro nice work! Plus you got a really dedicated and supportive fan base. Earned a sub
Thanks Mate and welcome to my channel
Harry wants his wand back
Magical powers to you Ben

Do you ever put these in your shop?
looks awesome! i love how it ha2s dents and wavyness really cool man
Hey man, where did you get that wood? Im not sure where to buy that type of wood as in germany we dont have home depot or stuff like that
That was fun. I’m going to give it a shot myself. Cheers.
Thanks Mate
What do you think to do patronum? I think Will be amazing!
Fanbloodytastic! 👌🤩
Thanks Mate
Beautiful!!!
Thanks Leni
Only using a drill *immediately pulls out a saw*
Only power tool ;)
What was the tool used to hold the wand?
hello. does epoxy damage bone?
Ben, can u do more projects with no lathe? 😍
Will do 👍
Awesome job man as always! Luv your work and I luv my egg.
Thanks Mate, I’m glad you like it 👍

Awesome 👏

For witchcraft purposes this video is useless. BUT for crafting your own wand - the technique is simple and gives amazing results.
Omg I want one 💜🧙♂️
Oh Puppy!!! DOG GONE< THAT MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD! HAHA
Hahaha

Thanks Mark, you were spot on :)
I wonder if the bond would be strong enough to do this to a drumstick. Then again you could just make a whole drumstick out of resin.
Yeah that would be cool
Hi Ben, would you also do Projects for other people for Money?
In the end: Evanesco!
Fantastic job as always ben, theres a few people i could make dissappear with that wand haha👍🏴
Hahaha Thanks Keith
Love it. Thank you.
Thanks Mate
Very nice that’s what I was going for in my magic wand video. But I need more practice with the resin lol BeAuItFuL!¡ Ben.

That's the same colour as Draco's wand actually in that order
wand ering what you will wip up lol. Nice job
Thanks Frank
KingCobraJFS isn't gonna like this. More competition for his wand business. TWU.
u r a genius
Thanks Mate
You should put a Lazer in it to make it cool and I might make it for my brother with a Lazer in because he likes harry potter
It looked like harry potter's wand with a twist.
Thought you were going to mount the wand in the drill and sand it by hand.
wingardium leviosa!

Would look great if you could put a LED light in it so the resin part lights up

Thanks Roma, Her name is Molly :)
Great tip with how you used the hand drill! Love that i can actually replicate this project. Thanks Ben 👍👍 Much appreciated 🙏👌👌
No worries Sas 👍
Acrilyc paint ruins the wood, you should only use stains
Make a p tea or bar
make something out of solid resin no wood
20 minutes just for the point, I hand carve wands and it take less than that with just a knife
