I tested all games and found that My Switch freezes when I play games that are huge like FoRtNiTe(btw fortnite is garbage), Minecraft, I played that game a lot with my cousins. So I don’t expect it to play smoothly if I play Skyrim tbh. But for the very few people that like being smart asses(I saw like two or three), I said the “People that buy game systems at launch are basically test subjects for the companies” comment trying to joke around.

Jade Arcade not always true show me where you can play Super Mario World on your PC without emulation show me where you can play Gears of War on PC games that are made for console you can't play on PC and a lot of times if you can the PC version is usually broken and needs a lot of fixing and they sometimes never fix it the Nintendo switch seems like a great console and it may be after they fix all the problems but right now it's not worth the price tag no matter if it's only a handful breaking you won't know if yours is going to break if yours does break not telling how long it's going to be before they fix it it's just like every other company out there may take months before they fix it what if it's a hardware issue and they have to bring out a version 2 or what if it's a software problem then it may take weeks before something comes out I'll wait and save my money when all the problems have been fixed one of the biggest problems that's holding me back from buying it is the dock that scratches The screen hopefully they fix that if they do I'm buying if they don't I'm not and I have a Wii U and I have bought all the other consoles at one time
What an oddly nostalgic video....I bought my switch in 2019 and it came broken it bootlooped over and over and I had Amazon give me a new one in exchange and I have that new one to this day and it never failed me

2:15 You absolutely 100% NEED a screen protector on your Switch. I have ALREADY scratched my screen, and it is scratched BY THE DOCK because literally the screen has not touched any other surface.
@sneakyfox The doc still is a very light piece of plastic with not much to it. I haven't had problems with scratches. However I also use a protective foil.
The switch had the strangest hardware faults. When i got my switch and played botw for the first time i noticed when i had both controllers connected the screen would literally just go blank after about 30 seconds. Playing with both controllers disconnected from the console was fine though, and putting the console in sleep and waking it would fix the screen.

I remember watching this 5 years ago when I got my switch, I was terrified of these thing happening to me. The things I actually did experience was putting the wrist strap on the wrong way, the dock scratching my screen, a botw crash, joycon drift, joycon connectivity issues, joycons not latching on correctly, and dead pixels. My fears were right EDIT: Now my touch screen is randomly firing up and down near the left of the screen. Thanks Nintendo!

The dead pixel message Nintendo issued is ridiculous. Of course pixels on LCD screens will die eventually but for them to be dead already on a device with no play time is just unacceptable.

My launch switch lasted me 5 years under very poor treatment. It still works, I just have an oled now. The launch was fine.

I remember watching this 5 years ago when I got my switch, I was terrified of these thing happening to me. The things I actually did experience was putting the wrist strap on the wrong way, the dock scratching my screen, a botw crash, joycon drift, joycon connectivity issues, joycons not latching on correctly, and dead pixels. My fears were right
EDIT: Now my touch screen is randomly firing up and down near the left of the screen. Thanks Nintendo!

My switch once froze while watching UA-cam and it would not turn off, I had to wait until it ran out of battery

@@Tuneway-Surfers.SurfVibes I sold it to my brother, it still works but the back plate has almost completely melted off due to overheating. (the same problem that one guy had when there micro sd card full on melted) Also the game card slot just doesn't work anymore.

The dead pixel message Nintendo issued is ridiculous. Of course pixels on LCD screens will die eventually but for them to be dead already on a device with no play time is just unacceptable.
I was actually in disbelief when I saw their page about it. Dead pixels is the sort of shit that shows up with high use several years later.
These people are getting them within a week.

DammitLeeroy dead pixels can appear in any new display. Even with highly expensive $1200 monitors can have dead pixels just after opening the box.
to be fair many company have this as a policy, it does seem super lame but its almost an industry standard at this point. check almost any other company(other than apple and big name phones) with displays and they will include this policy.
