Also Ne looks for possibilities in a given situation, Se tries to find the only “reality”. I can't recall a time where Naruto ever instigated a fight out of sheer want to battle, instead, it was either to defend an ideal, to prove he was stronger, or to protect others. These were not fights just to experience the world, experience the adrenaline, to have new experiences (Se) (see Yumeko Jabami - Se DOM), but rather these fights always had a value, an ideal behind them. All of these behaviors combined just makes him seem more NeFi to me. Furthermore, if you were to insult a Se DOM-Ni INF user like Pain/Obito did, it is unlikely that he could see his perspective as sympathetic. Regardless of Fi's ability to "empathize", when a user with a high Fi rating is harmed, it is unlikely that he can easily change his feelings toward the abuser, unless he is seeing alternative possibilities as a Ne dom. It is also good to note Naruto's way of learning. He learns best from these creative and somewhat eccentric analogies (like looking left/right simultaneously; flushing the bathroom = rasengan; clones to help to make easy to perform rasengan; clones in the wise way). Again, it is not necessarily creativity that makes it ENFP, but how it is constantly unconventional. I don't think Naruto came up with a conventional solution to ANYTHING. Ne is not about complexity,it is about possibilities. Although Naruto is very simple (as the ESFP protagonists are stereotyped), he is far from being realistic. I see Kakashi's approach to teaching Naruto as a good example of how Ne connects him, and how he thrives on the unconventional. ENFP ideas are like lightnings, they just happen, without planning! This is due to the high level of Ne, which also means divergent intuition (aka: crazy ideas). The fights which Naruto usually won uses the Ne at it's finest, surprising everyone around them. Yes, Naruto can start a fight with a brainless impulsivity, but let's take a look on how he actually won his fights, from Naruto Classic to Naruto Shippuden. Let's remember how Naruto won the fight against Kiba, JUST FARTING. Shocked every single person around him. Creative and possibilities => Ne. Some people think it was a mistake from Naruto, if you think it was, you can just disconsider this point and move to the next one. Even though the fart actually happened. Hm, this is interesting. I definitely relate to the idea of having an end-point goal but no real plan how to get there, just vague ideas and then living moment to moment seizing opportunities as they arise very gradually edging forward towards the goal, sometimes over many years. Pretty much as you described for the ESXP but ..... I absolutely do not relate to any characteristics that Se doms have otherwise. Anyway, it is interesting. Food for thought.
Can i be an ESFP if i am not atlethic and good in sports? I was never interested until recently though and for 6 months i actually started working out and i love it it’s just that i’m not really naturally good in sports and dancing. I love dancing and i enjoy learning choregraphies and dancing but i’m not naturally great at it. I Find ESFP to fit me better than Any other type(i am shy but i thought i am ISFP but no i am a shy extrovert). I mean i love performing and always loved whether it was acting when i was little(i never took lessons but i enjoyed making up plays and had others play roles in my plays) or drawing and then making stories based on that drawings or dancing(again i am not a good dancer but i dance whenever i can) or singing now(i’ve recently took up singing lessons seriously and I’ll have a few concerts soon. Singing and performing do help me cope with shyness). I do crave and enjoy spotlight but i am not assertive enough to get it so I’ll usually rely on singing and fashion to get it. I was very sociable growing up but i was bullied in elementary(i am 16 now) and it radically changed me. The thing was i loved eating and i was fat and then i couldn’t run Fast and you know most kids love running games and i was always the last one and picked on and maybe that’s why i used to hate sports so much. My parents were also very protective and didn’t really allow me to do sports or dancing or shit.I mean there was a game made by some classmates “let’s run from me” because they found it Funny i Could never catch them

But I'll bet you've never seen a jutsu like this!" LOL It's funny how Naruto was absolutely correct XD Ne on it's maximum power! Why? Because he won against Kaguya by idealizing a new technique to her, but not just it: He designed a new technique in order to make a possibility happen. Ne is about possibilities. He prepared on beforehand a scenario with the intention of leaving Kaguya so surprised about it when it actually happened that would render her without any reaction to his punch at the moment she was surprised. He idealized a very unconventional possibility with his Ne, aka Divergent Intuition, it was such unconventional that rendered the creator of the Jutsu itself harmless when faced that crazy scenario: Sexy Reverse Harem. And yes, he applied it physically during that fight, but saying it is Se because he applied the idea or concept on the real world is indeed oversimplification of the argument. Naruto also used Trans-Contextual Thinking during the learning process of Rasengan, on the Childhood (11 years), by connecting the idea of the Cat, the Ball and the Bathroom to finally learn Rasengan. This is an advanced learning process trait most likely to be performed by Ne DOMs according to Neuroscience Scientific Researches. (Dario Nardi, Ph.D.). Here is when he applied Trans-Contextual Thinking ua-cam.com/video/Z-4q1QlgMWQ/v-deo.html 3:58 On this case, considering Naruto to be ESFP (Se-Fi-Te-Ni), there is not any Ne, instead there is Ni INFERIOR. And inferior functions are known to be underdeveloped even on adulthood. However, Naruto used intuition with just 11 years, on the childhood. As an ESFP, he is more likely to have an embryo or inexistent Ni instead. > Our Inferior (opposite of our Dominant) is developed in our late thirties through our fifties - the ranges are approximate. www.linkedin.com/pulse/beyond-your-jungian-preferences-bob-larcher/ > In mid-life the tertiary function starts to become stronger and in later life the inferior function starts to develop. www.psychologyjunkie.com/2018/03/01/recognizing-myers-briggs-personality-types-childhood/ > The tertiary and inferior functions operate less consciously, which means that it is harder to access their strengths and it is more likely to encounter their weaknesses. mbti-notes.tumblr.com/theory That's why I think Naruto is ENFP.

The misunderstood hero(not the anti hero, that's more of an IxxP thing) or even the villain in unhealthy circumstances (think fallen hero turned villain). INTJs are a lot like ESFPs on an unconcious level, they often value doing the thing that is "Right" to them, even if it's not as active in the personality.
Yeah. I think Kreia from KOTOR 2 fits the bill pretty well. Very mysterious, growth oriented, blunt, strategic/long term thinker, very misunderstood, values independence (tries to kill the force because she thinks it’s too powerful and doesn’t like the idea of it controlling fate).
INFJ codependent married (16 years) to a NPD ESFP 16 years my senior. I’ve know I’m kinda screwed. The biggest issue-not able to modulate my emotions as he hits his grouchy old late mid life crisis phase and he yells continually. I cannot support both our moods when I’m fighting my own depression and would just like to sleep and not wake up. 3 little guys in the middle.
I actually think the prototype for a classic ''hero'' figure is ISFP. Luke Skywalker, Harry Potter just to name two of many. They usually use Se as secondary ''I need to be brave and face this head on'' function. The most important feature of a hero IMO is their moral righteousness, that's why dominant Fi is the ultimate go-to for a protagonist. A good hero also needs decent access to Ni for their ''deeper purpose'' which ISFPs have as a third function. That being said, yes, there's a lot of ESFP protagonist as well. Especially in these modern days where we want to see a protagonist who blows up sh*t without ever looking back.
The ESFP hero archetype is representative of the INTJ developmental model not the ESFP, its easy why writers and such got it backwards but it is the case that INTJ is the one who is suppose to go through this journey unlocking the ESFPness.

Let's remember how Naruto won the fight against Neji on the Chunin Exam, using a fake Kage Bushin and entering on the EARTH (who would imagine he would enter on Earth?). Creative, thinking about possibilities very quickly. Creative and possibilities => Ne.
Sexy jutsu was also a Naruto's creation. You can laugh, but you cannot deny it's a unique creation from Naruto. Konohamaru even copied. Creative and possibilities => Ne.
Rasenshuriken. The Rasenshuriken was invented by Naruto Uzumaki shortly after he figured out the principles of the Wind Release: Rasengan. Creative and possibilities => Ne.
To finalize: How about seeing Naruto's most important fight in the entire anime?
Naruto x Kaguya (The Chakra Progenitor)
ua-cam.com/video/GUMo9aiWDUQ/v-deo.html
Naruto just used the Reverse Harem Jutsu against Kaguya to win a fight:
His words: "You may be the progenitor of chakra or whatever... But I'll bet you've never seen a jutsu like this!"
LOL
It's funny how Naruto was absolutely correct XD
Ne on it's maximum power!
That's why I think he is ENFP.
My younger sister is an ESFP 100%
I LOVE YOUUU
Pseudo leadership is spot on. Developed or undeveloped Ni too. I’m a mature ESFP and i can’t be further from my young self.
This is very interesting, but I have no idea who these characters are. I did get some of the reasoning, though.
You should definitely make a video about Intuition / Haki
Is Poe Dameron from Star Wars an ESFP?
Do every sensing and feeling type. Let us hear the glories of sensation and feeling to the demise of the childish biases in our community.
My parents were also very protective and didn’t really allow me to do sports or dancing or shit.I mean there was a game made by some classmates “let’s run from me” because they found it Funny i Could never catch them
Ahhh yeah! Luffy was the first character I thought of too.
Really good video
"So why is the ESFP the hero? Let's look at their cognitive function stack! 😄" .... I had to laugh, this is so NT 😂
Asura ur videos r d best!
So much insight!!!
Thanks !
The Anime escalated quickly tho😅
Appreciate the feedback, thanks for watching!
but it was to represent esfp's...
Lol I agree with you when you say puffy is a great example. ( also a INTJ )
Which archetype would you say fits the INFJ?
Hey @AsuraPych, your channel and cognitive functions analysis is just completely amazing.
CAN I ASK YOU SOMETHING, PLEASE? 🥺
=> Could you analyze Naruto's personality?
There is this fight of Naruto being ESFP x ENFP on the MBTI - Personality Database website that is driving everyone insane.
This is my opinion about Naruto being ENFP:
(I put on Mbti Personality Database)
Impulsivity alone does not imply in a Se DOM (ESFP)
Creativity alone does not imply in a Ne DOM (ENFP)
Therefore, a deeper analysis is required
I watched the anime again and realized that I saw Se where there was none.
It is not the Se that makes Naruto impulsive, Te’s lack of development makes Naruto decide purely for his Fi.
Before, I had dismissed people who described him as "idealistic" and "creative" because obviously the same words can apply to any ESFP, but it is the WAY that Naruto is idealistic, unpredictable and a general eccentric that makes him a Ne dom.
Throughout the series, Naruto is by far the most OPTIMIST character. By nature, Se doms are the most REALIST types and are remarkably stereotyped as those who “speak as they are”.
People also claims he is Se DOM because he thinks too much in the “here and now” and not in the future, but I disagree with that, he thinks too much in the future, like in an ideal of becoming a Hokage or to bring Sasuke back to the "path of light" in order to save Sasuke, for example. These ideals are kept alive inside Naruto on the entire show. It was only at the end of Naruto Shippuden that finally Naruto was able to accomplish them.
Of course, if a gift could have a dream that was not as horrible as becoming a Hokage, but it is unlikely that they will KEEP that dream after every harsh reality of their situation is realized. Ne dom keeps his ideal even if everything goes wrong, even if the reality is harsh, because he doesn't care so much about the reality itself: Si INF. Also Ne looks for possibilities in a given situation, Se tries to find the only “reality”.

His words: "You may be the progenitor of chakra or whatever... But I'll bet you've never seen a jutsu like this!"

It's funny how Naruto was absolutely correct XD
Ne on it's maximum power!
Here is when he applied Trans-Contextual Thinking

On this case, considering Naruto to be ESFP (Se-Fi-Te-Ni), there is not any Ne, instead there is Ni INFERIOR. And inferior functions are known to be underdeveloped even on adulthood. However, Naruto used intuition with just 11 years, on the childhood. As an ESFP, he is more likely to have an embryo or inexistent Ni instead.
> Our Inferior (opposite of our Dominant) is developed in our late thirties through our fifties - the ranges are approximate.
www.linkedin.com/pulse/beyond-your-jungian-preferences-bob-larcher/
> In mid-life the tertiary function starts to become stronger and in later life the inferior function starts to develop.
www.psychologyjunkie.com/2018/03/01/recognizing-myers-briggs-personality-types-childhood/
> The tertiary and inferior functions operate less consciously, which means that it is harder to access their strengths and it is more likely to encounter their weaknesses.

That's why I think Naruto is ENFP.
WAAAHHHHHHHHH YESSSS LUFFYYYYY MY ROLE MODELLL. I've been types entp 3 times for whatever reason🙄. I don't wanna be that! I wanna be esfp and I think AM. Sooooo I'm confused 😞
Nope those tests are WRONG. I'm 100% sure I'm an esfp. Yep!
Hay man what do you think about which archetype suites INTJ?
Omg, so sorry. Please get professional counsel.
Especially in these modern days where we want to see a protagonist who blows up sh*t without ever looking back.
ouch
This was very informative sir, hitting that subscribe button now!
Morning:) Question? What is the shadow type for the INFJ? Thank You for your informative videos! Btw, I am an INFJ.
A types "Shadow" is just all 4 letters reversed, so ESTP. Your shadow type has all the same functions just in the opposite order.
Thanks for watching!
@@AsuraPsych Thank you for the info:)
A lot of anime hero's are ESFP. Naruto, Goku, Luffy, etc
jpm8288 Cool that their counterparts, Sasuke and Vegeta, are INTJ’s.
Guess what I am an esfp with an Intj best friend Ik shocker right
I must know what is your type sir? Someone mentioned below you are an NT temperament? Also since Finn is an ESFP, what would Jake the dogs be??!
I'm an INTJ myself.
Jake is most likely an ESTP if I had to guess, maybe an ENTP.
Thanks for watching!
The INTJ is not our shadow. ISFJ is our shadow. INTJ is our subconscious and aspiration.
The ESFP hero archetype is representative of the INTJ developmental model not the ESFP, its easy why writers and such got it backwards but it is the case that INTJ is the one who is suppose to go through this journey unlocking the ESFPness.
Dude, if you had Luffy and or Finn in the thumbnail this video would have A LOT MORE views... like I would have clicked on this immediately, not when felt I had enough free time...
(I mean it's a cool picture and it fits, but you talk about ONE PIECE man :D that's gotta be on there somewhere)
[ I swore myself I wouldn't bomb people with my opinionated advice via UA-cam anymore... but here I am dangit xD sorry]
Isn't ENFJ the hero/protagonist?
The Esfp are the entertainers.
he's talking about the hero in movies and cartoons
Are you ENTP?
I'm definitely an SFP lol
Carl Johnson
I always thought ESFPs were just hedonistic sex-obsessed party-animals. Didn't realise about the hero aspect. Interesting. -INTJ
Don't let this video miss lead you they are definitely party animals..
Don’t let this persons comment mislead you, not all ESFP’s are mindless party animals. Maybe in our earlier years like I did in high school, but as time went on I went on to work high paying jobs and meet the love of my life, became certified in nutrition, and run 2 businesses. Not a professional at running businesses but it’s better than settling and relying on one job to decide if I get to pay my bills or not.
@@deborahparker1731 esfp here who dislikes parties! My isfp husband loves them though, simply because he loves dancing. Sometimes I compromise and we go to things but I get sleepy by 10. I'd rather be home reading a book.
I personally believe that people who see other types only as their stereotype don't actually understand mbti at all.
@@cris31370 I understand Cristal and I apologize for stereotyping. I have a ESFP that I want to door slam but can't due to family circumstances. Again I apologize that wasn't fair.
@@deborahparker1731 it's fine. Unhealthy types can really agitate us. My stepdad is an unhealthy esfp so I totally understand!
