It's more Mississippi because of the battlefield, which is inspired by the Red River campaign of 1864, which took place in Southern Mississippi and was later taken from union forces by the confederates, hence the Lemoyne raiders being there
I'm from New Orleans, so it was a real treat going to Saint Denis when I played this game for the first time. I've also been to Oak Alley multiple times.
Armadillo/Cholla Springs is modeled after the Sonoran Desert around Tucson, AZ (where I am from). Its what got me hooked on RDR1, hanging out just north of Armadillo felt like I was in Avra Valley, just west of Tucson. The Sonoran desert is famous for having Saguaro cactuses (the tall ones with arms). R* also included creosote, barrel cactuses and cholla (pronounced "CHOY-uh) to give it a real feel. Ain't nothing better than smelling rain on creosote And just FYI Gaptooth Reach is modeled after the western Mojave desert in CA, where Joshua Trees grow. Odd theyd choose Tombstone as inpiration as its just outside the Sonoran desert of AZ Van Horn is based on Silver St in Nachez Mississippi (look up 27 Silver ST on Google Maps, go to street view) Caliga Hall is Shirley Plantation VA Braithewaite Manor is Oak Ally Plantation, Louisiana Pleasance is modeled after Boston Township in OH
Rhodes is based on Alabama/ southern Mississippi because of the battlefield of bolger glade which is inspired by the red River campaign of 1864 in which union forces took over southern Mississippi and was later taken back by the confederates hence the Lemoyne raiders.
As someone who lives in new Hanover county NC also known as Wilmington I don’t see it… maybe it’s also because I’m not originally from here but I don’t think this is it 😂… sadly had a lot more potential. 🤷🏼♀️
RDR2's level of attention to detail with all the references and things you can find is unmatched in any game I have seen thus far.
Fortnite is better
@@ClapDemNalgas773nah, fortnite is nowhere near how good rdr2 is
Second only to L.A. Noire.
I’ve been to oak alley and I walked down the long driveway and all I could think of was when the gang is walking down the drive way haha
i always thought of rhodes as somewhere in Georgia. The red clay and architecture kind of display what Georgia looks like.

I laughed when the deputy was like so yeah the Braithwaits were cotton farmers until a change in labor laws

Is Armadillo based on Amarillo?
@@rip.vanwinkle maaaye, just north central texas looks much more like hennigans stead than Cholla Springs. Armadillo looks more like Old Tucson

Wow, I love Rockstar’s attention to detail to their worlds.
@ 01:03 - I'd like to find this exact building and write on the wall one of the vampire verses from around Saint Denis 🤠👍
You are thee only You Tuber that has come close to figuring out where the real Valentine and Strawberry are derived from.
Ansburg almost reminds me of Idaho Springs in Colorado. Only for the big red Mill tho. IRL it's an Argo Mill lmao
No wonder Blackwater reminds me of Old Sacramento here
Because the people that came here were from Missouri
They built here the same style
You missed the Serpent Mound. That is an actual place in Ohio
Pittsburg California is in the East Bay Area
its time to visit arthur"s grave and pay respect
Do Nuevo Paraíso locations in real life next
