Seeing the real life houses compared to the ones in Saint Denis so cool! As much as the environments are beautiful and the game mimics them very well, it’s attention to detail on architecture that really shows how dedicated the developers were to making RDR2 feel real. I mean, how many people would even think of putting a corn fence in a game unless you saw it in reality??
There is one area of this video where the game got it right and reality “didn’t”, though. If you ride horses all the time, like Arthur and the rest of the gang do, you’ll get used to it and it won’t bother you at all. You’ll also be using a saddle that fits you (because it’s mad uncomfortable otherwise even if you ride often), and you’ll have enough experience to find your “seat” right away so you don’t have to fidget to get comfortable.
Of course, if you rode at a full gallop all the time like Arthur does (or like we make Arthur do) you’d have sore legs often. But also muscles of steel because it takes a lot of strength and is a serious workout to do that, especially often. Just another reason why Arthur Morgan is an absolute badass 😂

One thing that always impressed me with RDR2 (and GTA for that matter) was how ‘small’ areas could be made to feel so big. Saint Denis really isn’t a big city when you think about it, 4 blocks wide maybe?, yet feels like a big city with distinct districts. RDR2 really was a masterpiece in terms of map design.

Braithewaite Manor is actally Oak Alley Plantation. I've been there before and immediately recognized it in game. Beautiful place in real life. It's mazing that I've been to nearly all the places in real life that are in thegame.

I live 30 minutes South of Oak Alley. Also the tiny church in the swamps North of Saint Denis is also real. It's on river road in White Castle by Shintech.

It is insane how the video game looks like the real life places and buildings! All my respect to the Rockstar team!

Im currently on my 4th playthrough. My OG playthrough, my 2nd was my 1st 100%, my 3rd was a "true" 100% with complete 560 compendium, all outfits from trapper etc., now im on my 4th, which my 2nd true 100% attempt. Im 42% through and only 3 missions into chapter 2. This game is the bar. The definition of a masterpiece. Im still finding new things after over 620+ hours. I absolutely love everything about it and it is criminal its been abandoned by rockstar. Long live rdr2

Crazy episode mate. Big fan of RD and never crossed my mind that the places they used are actually places. It's crazy that you got to travel and see the places you did. Would of been one hell of an experience

Ugh literally I would love an RDR2 based locations/ history tour from around the country and getting to do these side experiences how awesome. This was superb guys very well done I’ve often wondered the locations myself compared to reality and both your hard work and the developers of RDR2 is unmatched. ❤
