- Here is the release paper I highly recommend: amzn.to/3tI5QOn
Check out my Etsy store: www.etsy.com/s... for diamond painting wax, putty and more!
Today, I'm teaching you how to use release paper instead of sectioning off with washi tape. Even better, I found this AMAZING release paper that is see through, sticks even when you start to place drills, and lets you roll up an unfinished painting!

Thank you for sharing! I’m new to this obsession and was trying to figure out what release paper was for.
There are so many accessories for diamond painting once you really get into it and then you have to find which work best for you too. Who would think a hobby became so complicated eh? LOL
Me too❤
Kori, I’m trying out the release paper on my current diamond painting, and I like it so much better than trying to deal with that plastic sheet that covers the painting. I found that I can tackle an area pretty quickly. Thanks for the tip. I enjoyed using your Peaches and Cream sticky wax and putty❤
Oh I am glad you like it! It is now my go to paper.
I like this type of release paper cover! I started using it with my current wip and I will be converting the rest of my wips(they are in original plastic and washi). Great example of managing drills and colors. 😊
I really love it. It's all I use now. I can see through it so I can see the drills I need and cut it out easier then I dont have to fiddle around with plastic.
I do my diamond painting with out sectioning but now i use the washi tape and i love it for now
I bought a release paper and I'm so excited to start a new dp with it
Thanks for the tutorial ❤
Thank you helped me a lot
You're welcome!
I enjoyed this video found it very helpful. I am a complete newbie to diamond painting. I have never done a diamond painting project I have some project diamond painting kits I ordered.
Glad it was helpful!
Do you have a video showing you cutting out the release paper? I am a total newbie at diamond painting. I got my first couple projects on Temu because I figured if I messed them up, I wasn't losing much money.
I don't cut the release paper out -- the size of the release paper is the size of the square/area I work on.
Can you please explain further the different sides of other paper? What is the difference between the sides and which one do you use? Thanks!
Some brands have a rough side and you don't want to use that. You want the one that is smooth, almost photo-paper like.
@@TheDiamondDotter Awesome, thank you!
I’ve been using release paper for a long time, but was thinking about trying the wash tape method for my next project. What is a ceramic cutter and where did you get it? I’m afraid to try my exacto knife. LOL!
Actually I got a super cheap pack of them here on Amazon amzn.to/496CCIj
@@TheDiamondDotter Thank you!
How many times can you use release paper please x 💕
I reuse the same sheets throughout a painting, so they last awhile. You just want to make sure if you are re-using them that you don't curl or tear them and they don't have any dust or hair on them when you go to place them back over a sticky surface.
Does wax paper work?
I have tried it, but neveer been a fan. If you want, you can use parchment paper, but it is hit or miss.
@@TheDiamondDotterwill do 😊 thanks!!
I use parchment paper
Yeah I've seen a lot of people do that and it works well. Nothing wrong with it.
Is this just freezer paper?
Ur supposed to start from the bottom.
That is not true. You can start in any way that you want. I don't like to start at the bottom because then I'm unable to work around what is done, so I start at the top and have it roll off the back of my desk. Everyone starts their own way. There is no right or wrong way to do a diamond painting.
@@TheDiamondDotter ok
Washi tape sucks! Glad i didn't waste too much $$ on it.
I have never had good luck with washi tape sadly.
