Please let us know how Sierra is. We can tell you love her and she loves you, so we know you would get treatment for her, if it is going to save her life.
So sorry about Sierra having cancer! I've had 2 over the last 20 years that had cancer. The Vet couldn't do anything for either of mine except make them as pain free as possible. I pray they can help Sierra. I'll pray for Sierra. God bless.
Hi James, yeah this is really a great tent (Big Horn III) and hope Cabela's decides to start making it again. I really love sitting by the stove when it's snowing cooking breakfast, reading a book, or listening to a good podcast. Living like this has restored my eagerness for life. If you're interested in checking out some other winter tents then I'd recommend Ellis Tents out of Durango and Snowtrekker Tents out of Wisconsin. Both are solid companies. Thanks for tuning in ~ Brian
I love these camping days when the weather has a bite, there's snow on the ground and falling, and I'm well-prepared for several days with ample food, water, and warmth. It's so quiet you can hear the snow falling outside. Surrounded by whiteness, just a bit of moonlight brightens everything, casts eerie shadows, and reminds me of how incredibly fortunate and insignificant I am compared to the immensity and perfectness of nature. I ache a bit when I see these videos bit I do love them so.
Haha yeah I love the cold ones. Sometimes after watching them at night I crank my air con really cold and go curl up in my sleeping bag with a snowstorm relaxation video on lol. Great way to sleep :)
Your Videos are so relaxing. I’m Originally from Rhode Island and my favorite time of year is the winter because it’s so beautiful by the ocean and so very quiet. You can really hear your thoughts. I would really enjoy being out in nature. Your dog is so sweet.
My condolences to you for losing your furbaby...pets are such a joy to have and enjoy...but when its their time to go to heaven its devastating...it almost tears you in half...i lost my longhaired chi chi last August and i still grieve for my baby...but we will see them again in heaven...(ISAIAH CHAPTER 11)AMEN🙏❤🌹🐾❤🙏
@@bobbyjones7354 Awww, sorry you lost your little friend. They are pure little souls that love us no matter what. I'm 63 and sobbed like a baby as I held her head and the vet gave her the meds. All the days with a pet are sweet but the last day. 😿 Thanks for your note!
Do it. It's good for the soul. I sold my house in April and spent all summer living in my truck. It's Alaska so it's probably easier than in most places I would imagine, but the freedom from a mortgage and utility bills has been amazingly therapeutic. I still work a regular job, shower in campgrounds or occasional hotels. Sounds ghetto to some people but I wouldn't trade this for grid-life again for anything.
I’ve been wanting to do this for so long but I have children and wanted to wait until their 18 since I’m no longer with their mother. Only 2 more years to go
California lady popping in..its been over 100 here...Friggen Love the Snow videos....I'm excited for winter 👍🤗👍 Hi Sierra....she's a cuddly one mmuuuaaah! 😘
The most important part of your life is Sierra ♥️♥️💕♥️💕💕💕💕💕♥️💕♥️♥️💕💕💕♥️💕 the whole blog is incomplete without her ... absolutely love her 💕♥️💕🧡😚🧡😚🧡😚🧡😚🧡😚
Hi. I love to watch your films - I find it so relaxing. Thankyou for posting them. Here in England we have some undeniably beautiful countryside, with a rich history. However, I feel that our American friends have far greater access to 'wild' unpopulated areas. I really enjoy watching you make the most of your right to roam and camp on public lands. You live in an amazing country Sir.
I agree. I live in Essex about 12 miles from London, and we have nothing so wild anywhere close, dispelled having some really pretty countryside within a shortish drive.
WOW! That is so cool and relaxing inside the tent with your dog in the tent while snowing. Well done dear. Thank you for this amazing video. Stay safe, healthy and blessed weekend.
Thought you weren't going to do much winter camping. Glad to see it. Don't wear yourself to a frazzle, my friend. None of us are exactly spring chickens anymore. Watch out for your health. Praying for you for wisdom.
Nice bill burr plug! A great comedian. I'm a fussy eater. Eggs, yes. Bacon, yes! That's it. I tried sweet potatoes when I was invited to my one and only thanksgiving. Tastes too much like turnip. Great scenery, great dog! No wonder she loves you with that kind of back door. If I was able to do that my sons dog would never want to leave me 😋
Cool Brian! Doing a parcours with the wood pile.Sierra is in 7th heaven. Such a good dog.Take care. Ps.You just gave me an idea.In my basement,is my son's rv truck.I think i'm going to use it and make a video.👌 Thanks
I was about to post what a lucky dog Sierra is until I read your update on her cancer 😢 I’ve been through two lots of cancer myself - colon and cervical so I do have some experience. I pray there will be an effective treatment for Sierra, and despite her diagnosis- I still think she is a very lucky dog. So loved, enjoying the most amazing time with her dad in beautiful places. My fur baby ( a Birman cat) has been very poorly with an incurable condition called Triaditis, with associated interstitial cystitis which can be very painful. He had major surgery to diagnose it and was only given 2 yrs to live, even though he was only a young cat at diagnosis. I had to sell so many things to pay for his initial surgery and in-hospital care, but he’s so worth it. He saw me through my second cancer battle - his love was unconditional and he never failed to soothe me after my long journeys for treatment. It was now my turn to do the same for him. He is on a special prescription diet, daily steroids, I’ve had to change to a pn expensive special low dust litter ( to protect his urethra/bladder) and he’s currently very well- it’s 2.5 yrs since his diagnosis - atm our Vet sees no reason for him not to live to a relatively ‘normal’ age for a cat as long as the condition stays under control. I’ve given up a lot to pay for all of this- and I feel blessed that he has taught me that ‘things’ really don’t matter, they don’t enhance your life the way your family or a much-loved pet does. I hope Sierra’s surgery goes well and that she will have many more pain free years living her wonderful life with you.
This setup just oozes with cozyness. Just relaxing to watch. Well I hope you enjoy your nomad trip up to South Dakota. I live here and I absolutely love it. Hope to see some more great winter camping vids in the future.
Having had a death experience your animals also live on,on the other side Hope it will be sometime before she goes! Thanks and may THE LIGHT be with u!
I just found this channel i hit the like button and subscribed before you began, that is a beautiful ⛺ tent that is an incredible hot tent. Your location is beautiful I love camping and I am going to follow this channel closely 😀 😄 😊.looks like a motel room great looking tent

I am native Coloradan, who moved to the Coast of Oregon in 2017 because I love ☔ rain and dislike ❄️ snow!!✌️ Beautiful 🐕 Sierra!!🐾#davesandersstepdaughter
When I was younger I spent a year living in a tent with a good friend. That was the time when Michigan had some pretty harsh winters. _At 64, I wouldn't want to do it again, but it wasn't all that bad. Sort of like camping, except we had to go to work every day._
I recommend carrying a motorized dobson telescope with a 10-inch mirror, you can see some interesting astronomical objects taking advantage of the absence of artificial light
many years ago at elk camp, and the 2nd year with our big wall tent (GP medium which is 16x32) we had half of it collapse due to wet snow. We didnt have a ridge pole for it. Had to sew up a few holes on site and the next year we had a very stout ridge pole. Never another problem. I loved when we got heavy snow and couldn't go anywhere for several days. Now I just have a Davis tent 10x12 which is perfect for one or two people. And a wood stove of course.
Lol, I love Bill burr! His dog comedic bits are hilarious. Sad he had to give up his dog, but the stories he tells about the 8 years he tried are great. As a bully breed owner, he says alot of things we don't like to admit, and that's cool of him. I have tons of respect for him as a comedian and logical dog owner.
Thanks Donna! This is actually unused footage from a memory card I found so this particular video is from last Feb. Thanks for tuning in, I hope you get some cooler weather in South Carolina soon!
I sure was wondering. I'm thinking how lucky is this guy! Always enjoy your videos. The peaceful serenity is just amazing. Stay safe. You are such a great dad to Sierra too.
Use to have an old GP medium Tent from the army with a woodstove, Used that for hunting and even winter time Medieval events that dang stove about roasted us at times even when it was -10f outside lol.
Ahaa im pretty sure my man was listening to last weeks Thursday just before Fridays Monday morning podcast. Ol Billy Freckles is getting his name out there
Praying for Precious Sierra to get the medical care she needs and to fully recover from the cancer and continue to live a happy and well-loved life.
Pray to St. Jude, he works miracles. I can attest to that. 🙏🏻

Same! 30 years in and would love to live full time like this. Just me and my best friend/dog!

Would burning coal have any benefit as far as output and time of burn?
nice to rewatch this 2 years have passed very quickly

Sierra always puts a smile on my face. Animals are so innocent, loving and loyal!
Thank you for peeling back layers in living a day - simple and yet profound.
You bet John, thank you for tuning in. Glad you enjoyed this video. Have a nice evening ~ Brian
Nothing like having three days worth of groceries and no place to go!
My kind of life style. I'm jealous. I'm ready to sell the house, get a dog and go camping for the rest of my life. Then I would be perfectly content.
Same here. Ready to leave society behind.
It really does seem awesome! 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼
I prefer my Cabin in the woods. Same lifestyle with a better structure for shelter. Yes it cost more but when the elements get nasty I’m better off.
Do it. It's good for the soul. I sold my house in April and spent all summer living in my truck. Me too xxx
Seriously, why would you want a house after seeing this… Man, nothing like being outdoors in a snow storm, peace and tranquillity.
I’ve been wanting to do this for so long but I have children and wanted to wait until their 18 since I’m no longer with their mother. Only 2 more years to go

Primo! Now that is a Tent!! Luxury while roughing it. lol.
Everything tastes better when it's cooked in the wild. What a lucky dog.😋

I have no idea how your video popped up in my UA-cam feed; however, I’m pleased and inspired. Prayers for your fur baby.
It reminded me a cabin in the Appalachian Mountains. The best part was drinking hot wine with apples and spices and watching the sunset.
Enjoyed the video very much. Easy to sleep with snow hitting the tent. Cool dogs too.
Looks so cold... Pretty whites snow though.. nice stove there.. love the red..food looks good..
The tent, the food, your dog , the snow it all look great.
