He’s on bail in 4 different jurisdictions, and was released on condition he wouldn’t commit a crime. This is criminal contempt. Revoke his bail, send him to jail where he belongs.

So he's broken bail conditions in 4 separate states?
Send him to jail in all four. All at once. A quarter of him to each one.

Just what does it take? He was already OUT OF JAIL ON BAIL, the man republicans want to be president, the rest of America wants him to die in prison.

    • @chippy7745

But that’s what he WANTS! We shouldn’t give him what he wants. He wants to cause mucho chaos in his trial (to make it a laughing stock in Maga’s eyes) and the judge is trying to prevent that. It’s known that putting the defendant in jail makes it more difficult to continue the trial. How would the jury view this? Would the judge look like a bully? Would it work against him? All of this trouble for such a huge jerk.

I listened to a legal podcast with Weissmann and McCord from last week, and they actually talked about exactly this concern, because a listener had sent in this same question. Apparently in NY state it doesn't work like that. It's contempt yes, but not technically a crime, as in rising to the level that would affect his other cases. So no dice with that one, but it's totally understandable to think that way

The justice system is dead. If you're powerful like Trump you can do whatever you want, even threaten and disparage the judge (and their children) in your own criminal case. They are scared of him so he'll continue to get away with all of it. Even if he's found guilty, the chances of this judge or any other sentencing him to prison is ZERO.

I agree. But you forgot someone has died. 2 people a matter of fact. 1 being a capitol police officer, the other a trump supporter. Remember J6th? It's called 2nd degree murder in most states. Even though trump didn't intend to kill anyone, his actions caused deaths. It's the same as DUI wrecks where the driver is charged with vehicular homicide. The driver didn't intend to kill anyone when he started drinking, but his actions did. Jailed & paying for his actions is usually what happens. But not trump, like when he said he could shoot someone on 5th Ave and people will still vote for him. Evidently, he told the truth. The only thing he's ever said that was true.

We can see things more clearly if we take the long view.
There will never be a year, a month or a day in Trump's
life that is free of legal troubles .
      I accept that as victory.
It was only a few months ago nobody thought there'd be
indictment #1. Let Aileen Cannon do her worst.
She can't prevent what's happening to him.
That's his misery and legacy now and forever.
The same goes for all of the co-conspirators and many, many further investigations that are going on right now all over the USA
that you and I haven't even heard of yet.
In a decade from now, we'll still be wrapping this up.
      And that's okay.
I plan to be paying attention.
We have to pay attention from now on.
Democracy and freedom are our individual responsibility.
      We know it now.
I watch a lot of crime documentaries. Detectives,
FBI, CIA, DOJ, HLS the IRS and who knows who
else, always have to investigate and chase down
every piece of information before they can bring a case.
It's nice to get investigations in short format, but in the
real world, it is a slow burn.
I believe that I will be alive to see the end of it.
There are a lot of seriously motivated law enforcement agencies
who are like a dog with a bone.
      They are Americans too.
They want justice for the devastation that these traitors have inflicted upon American citizens and the world.
Every stone they turn over unearths more of these odious parasites.
I hear Schadenfreude is best served ice cold.
