  • I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

Your living style in the tent changed a lot since ghost10/2 came in your life. Ususlly you went asleep after midniight and slept for only about 4-6 hours. Now you went asleep at 10-ish and slept for more than 8 hours. What a difference a patner can make!

As an Englishman in his 40's I find it interesting that you use feet and inches for measurements, yet you use kilometres instead of miles for distances.
I appreciate that you give an on-screen conversion for measurements - that's a mark of quality and appreciates that not all of your audience across the world uses the same measurements. You're a good man Mr Post. 😊

Spent a chunk of my childhood in Moosenee, there is literally nothing there in the way of tourist type stuff. No shopping, it's basically a Cree Nation village but not a reservation. It's got great whale watching if you go at the right time. The only way there is the train, used to be called The Polar Bear Express. I rode it many times to my birthplace Cochrane.

I’m thinking you need to invest in some fans that could blow that hot air back down. Maybe look into the Ryobi line of tools and bring several batteries to run your lights, a radio, fan and a small chain saw. And get an expandable blowing straw to work the fire, super light and small. . Since you guys do a lot of driving, maybe a truckers 12v oven would be a good addition. You could cook your meal while you drive, then set up camp and it should still be hot. I urge you to get a really decent insulated sleeping mat, the Exped Mega Mat Duo 10 is a fantastic sleeping pad that has an R value of 9.5 and will really help you stay warm all night. Because of bears, I recommend you cook and eat near your rig so there are no tempting smells! For a really fun time, maybe consider hammock camping with that, it’s so much warmer and comfortable than the tent on the ground and they make tent shelters to go around them. I swear it’s easier than setting up that tent. And lined with sleeping pads and a mosquito net and rain fly, it will be warm enough you won’t need that heater all night.

We stayed overnight in a hotel and took a boat ride down the river to the ocean. Got a certificate to prove we were on the ocean. In August, the mosquitos were a problem.

I've not seen all the video yet but I'm already hoping you're warm enough. One quick bit of advice - when you were rolling up the flap where you then put the other velcro piece on, you rolled outwards. If you roll inwards, you don't risk getting any rain/wet weather on what will later be the inside of the tent shell.
I'm not surprised it's taken a while for the twigs to catch light because of the snow that was on them, meaning they'd be damp and not dry wood. I always take some daldinia concentrica fungi with me as it lights quickly and easily and smoulders at a high temperature so it gets wet wood going quickly. Can you not put the rest of the wood on top of the burner to help it dry out before use, or at least on the plastic box off the snow?

Hey post... I really enjoy watching your winter camping videos....the little camping wood stove was a little beauty, but you were waiting a long time for your water to boil... just a heads up with your propane heater though... with those types of heater heads they can usually be laid back and locked in place to use as a stove top to cook on and boil water quickly, you should check your one out to see if it does do the stove top option which by the look of it.. it does, will look forward to your next camping venture... take care

Being in the military and dealing with MRE quite a bit. It looks to me that you don't put enough water. Make sure it reaches the top of the line and then shake it so water makes contact with the whole pad.
