I'll never understand people's need to vandalize. When I was a kid and came across things like this, we just left everything alone and marveled at it all.
I think you should buy this house - you love it and it has a great view. I’d really enjoy watching you remodel it. The out buildings could be fixed up as workshops and material storage. It would make great videos.
Unfortunately it would cost more to repair the house than its worth. Water damage is like cancer to a house. It spreads everywhere and you can't know how bad it is until you start tearing stuff apart for repairs. Its extremely risky
When I see homes that you post like this, I always like to think back to when they were new. The families that lived in them...and how nice it would have been having a house right there with access to fishing and other water activities. Thanks for these vids, Post.
1930s, I like to imagine what it was like when it was new and how happy the people must have been to have such a lovely place to live and grow. This is a house worthy of love. I hope someone saves it. If it was me I would grow lots of fruit trees there.
Hi! I never comment on your videos.. but I came here to say.. first off.. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS.. you’re one of the most positive humans I’ve ever watched on this platform. The optimism, enthusiasm , and positive attitude is so infectious! :) thank you for being you! Second, this house is totally yours! I have would love to watch the progress in the remodel :) I feel like you possess this type of skill set Thank you and keep on keeping on
If this is your dream house, you should definitely buy it. You're an amazing person, and you do a lot of good for your community. Nobody deserves their dream home more than you do!
In the UK they're pretty common, maybe because we still need them since we have so many homes built with bricks. Drywall is used in new builds because it's easier to use.
LOVE 💙 when you go through abandoned homes. This one is beautiful. Wish someone would bring it back to its original (or close to it) state. Post, I hope you continue to find more of these. Love 💙 this home and it's views.
A house built to last for sure! There was an abandoned home in front of me before. The previous owner put holes in the roof hoping it would cave into the basement, it still stood solid for about 20+ years before one of the walls decided to finally fall into my yard.
Lovely house, built in a time where everything was built to last, the reason why i bought my house which was built in 1937. You'd love to own a house like this and it's for sale! It's a sign
Thanks for showing us your Dream Home... Sad to see the abandonment and damage. It's a big house, huge project! I feel too much works to restore it to its former glory... Beautiful views. Yes, I can see it was a lovely house.
Hello from southern Ontario. What a wonderful house, so full of character. You don't get that with modern builds. It's really a shame about the vandalism. So senseless. I do hope someone saves it before it's completely wrecked.
I want to see videos of you fixing this house up. I sure hope you can get it. It deserves your good care! I can just picture what you could do with it to bring it back to it's original glory. The renovation videos would help with the cost. We'd all watch!
I've been in that house! Probably about 10 years ago, me and a buddy explored the property. I live about 25 mins away, drive by once in a while. It was abandoned for a long time, someone purchased it and fixed it up. I guess it's now abandoned again. Too bad. I know of a few other abandoned places around here too if you want info! Enjoy it up here, sorry about the fuel prices...
I was gonna say that this property looks like it has been abandoned for longer than 5 years. With the roof rotting and the porch decaying it certainly has been longer. You can't always rely on Google. Sometimes we have to do the research ourselves. There's a couple nice abandoned houses near me that I would love to buy but it would cost me a lot to fix the house. It's been abandoned for at least two decades. But according to Zillow and other markets it's saying that it's owner occupied and there's no contact info available.
Really enjoyed the Abandoned buildings you walked through, especially the extra you gave us with the other one. Got to say a lot of remodeling and work to be put in them. Thank you for the walk through!
Really nice house here. Damn pigeons scared me. I'd be concerned about basement flooding on this property. The basement looked secure. I'd rather hear water running than traffic. Great explore .❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is true. I have a pair of boots made for mining and they have a steel plate molded in the entire length of the sole along with the steel toe and a very tall boot shaft to protect the shins. They are quite the leg workout to wear though. Very heavy. And the soles are so thick I look like Gene Simmons stunt double in them. When I first got them I tried to squat down on the balls of my feet and immediately fell on my ass because of how inflexible those thick soles were. Now that they're broken in and my calves have bulked up from they weight, I love them.
Anyone wanting to know what the broken glass sign said, its "Georgian Bay" and the rocks with the moss on them is part of what's called the Canadian Shield that extends into northern Ontario all the way through Quebec. I see your STILL travelling NORTH even further? Sudbury would be the next most known city if your in that area. The BIG NICKEL might be a nice stop over?
It’s always sad to see a house in this state of disrepair. Houses are such a big investment, makes you think why it was abandoned. Thank you Post10. If you do buy it, us Post10 fans will be glad to help you bring it back to glory 👍
What a beauty. It would take a lot of work, but howdy, it has fantastic bones. The possibilities are endless. I can see it finished. And the guest house would be so cozy. Puta bath and kitchenette and make it a rental or VRBO! Give it a serious thought!
So sad that folks can't appreciate the construction of such a beautifully built house. The tarp would have functioned better over the roof, but maybe they had no way to secure it. Wow, such beauty gone.
You need to buy it . Make your dream come true . You are young and have the energy to do it . Who knows maybe some people that watch you would volunteer to help you
162 Port Severn Rd N, Severn, ON. That property is across from Starport Marina in Port Severn right off of 400. The 'hydroelectric dam' you showed was Lock 45.
Here is a Little Tip: If you go into any Abandoned location and Yell *Is anyone In here?" No one (even if they are there) will EVER answer or respond back. It still however could be Useful, could help prevent you from spooking and surprising Someone who does not wanna be Surprised. Gives them time to hide. As a father to a daughter it's seeing the kids items on the deck and in the room at 5:52 and doll at 6:28 that gets me. Some kid lived there, played w/dolls, laughed, opened Christmas gifts etc. and whoever they are are gone but personal effects remain.
It would be a good place if he wanted to expand his family. If he gets married they could get some dogs and fill the home with love and laughter. Maybe have little Posts if they decide to. Post 2 - The New Batch?

It's so frustrating that people have to vandalize things. They achieve nothing other than ruining something, for their own pleasure. It makes no sense.
It's sad to see things like that house. After 90 years the builder, architect, and original owners have all passed away, unless they are very old, and the lives of many people and a few generations have faded away. Who were they? How did they spend their time on Earth and who is still alive that remembers any of them? I've always felt that people are like books that haven't been written and it's sad to only see a small fraction of those books recorded or remembered.
It heartbreaking about the cold hearted callousness of vandals destroying such a beautiful house. The property is a nice size as well. I wouldn't mind being near the highway as long as there were no other actual human neighbors in the area. I think anyone buying and renovating the house would probably have to live on site somehow in an RV temporarily to deter repeat vandalism during construction. Sad reality.
In its hey day, I bet this house was a beautiful structure. Its just sorry hoodlums who have trashed the place. The Fisher, AKA Tyler, the guy who magnate fishes in Wisconsin, found an abandoned farmhouse with out buildings & acrerage & is restoring it for him & his little boy. so far it looks really good & it's his first house. This would be a great project for you to do. My parents first house was under the plane paths of the Atlanta airport & while it was loud for several years, it eventually quitened down & now it's pretty quiet. And when my mother passed in May 2022, she had been living there since 1964. My sister lives there now.
Omg, the pigeons, and when that person started to talk, scared me 😅. I love your videos. You remind me of good old Huell Howser. Your videos are very therapeutic.
Ugh! Even though the house may have had water damage, I really hate seeing the vandalism. It makes me so angry. I wish it were possible to find those responsible and force them to live in those same conditions.
12:40 I liked your use of words and pretending someone is with you before you went down. Havent seen that on explorer's channels before. Very wise, very strategic.

Its the new decay of culture taking shape. It is a symptom.
That Joker quote about some people just wanting to watch the world burn.
Easier to understand when you are 16 - 21 years old, male, and out with buddies... maybe drinking.

Here's the problem. It's in the ommunist state of Canuckistan. That's why Post was commenting about the Canadian tendency for graphiti.
Canuckstain 😂

I would watch the heck out of restoration videos of that house!
Those pics of the house before it was abandoned were awesome. Lol
I watched til the end, just to be disappointed.
@@chrisw6103Yes, I also expected to see green gardens, but the pictures seemed to be from the time it was already abandoned.
That whole area is awesome.
I loves how in every video after you said "thanks for watching" and then you gives extra extended video for more minutes😁👍😘. Keep it up
Sad to see the damage. Even worse to see plaster walls replaced by drywall on restorations.
Drywall replacing plaster is often both a matter of cost and a dearth of skilled plasterers.
I have not heard of one in my county younger than 50.
In the UK they're pretty common, maybe because we still need them since we have so many homes built with bricks.

The fireplace is fabulous.

check the magazines / newspapers for dates, that often gives a nice indication when the people left

You are such a handyman. This is perfect. Probably a great price. Would love to see you fix it up.
What a awesome house, I bet it was beautiful before it got weather and vandalized. Thank you Post 10 for another great video
What a great house. If I can ask a favour next time you're there, shut the windows that are all open. Someone opened them to speed along the decay.

Oh yes please. This could be wonderful restoration.
This truly is a dream house. Hoping one day it receives a nice makeup, because the view is magical ❤️
