That's Jeff Dazey. He's toured with everybody, including Tedeschi Trucks Band (who might have the highest band standards in the world). You're right to call him out. Very talented.
Ok I haven't adequate words to express how wonderful and nostalgic this young man's music makes me feel. I'm so proud of him, his message, and his celebration of the great foundational sounds of good music.
I had never heard of this young man until 10 minutes ago. My 13 year old daughter just texted me she won tickets to meet him. Naturally I said to myself "you won tickets to see who, lol?" I checked him out and I am JEALOUS she gets to go to his show, she better bring me, lol.
That's Jeff Dazey! The dude is outstanding. He's been touring with Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats lately. We saw them on tour and he was amazing.

Just started clapping with the crowd alone in my living room lol. This man is a true gift to humanity. Thank you infinitely for sharing your craft, Leon.
This young man is taking me back to waking up on weekends with my father blasting music as an alarm clock - always had R&B and straight ahead Blues music playing in the house as a kid. This dude Leon Bridges has an old soul. Love it!
There is no one in show business like Leon Bridges. His concert at Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater FL was the finest soul man blues Texas boogie panorama I have ever experienced. This is coming from a blues soul rock addiction since the fifties.Just spent the night in paradise y'all. You gotta love Leon.
Wow, as if I hadn't already fallen in love with his voice and his words, the final song "River" just transported me to some place magical that I don't often find myself. Thanks Bob and the entire Tiny Desk crew for helping get this fantastic artist some more exposure!

"I wrote this song one time in my garage"
proceeds to sing one of the most beautiful songs ive ever heard
What a gift
Chilling isn't it?
Amen.
facts.
I'm really confused by that statement though, google says that it has 4 songwriters, revisions perhaps?
River is such a heavy song... breaks your heart and soul and repairs it in an existential way
I totally agree.
The way they used this song in black lightning broke my heart
I cry almost every time 😩🤣🤣🤣
My thoughts exactly within the first 3 seconds of listening. And I love Sam Cooke!
Yes.
People don't sing quite like this guy anymore. Phenomenal artist
Anymore? this guy's very much still alive and young lol
@@juliezbeez the exception proves the rule my friend
Jacob Banks and Michael Kiwenekua if you haven’t heard of them yet

It is absolutely astonishing how this live performance sounds every bit as good as the studio recorded tracks. His voice is absolutely flawless.
I would say that it's better than his Spotify recordings
Way better

The softness and control that the tenor sax has in the first song..... words can't explain how impressed I am.....
noticed this too, it was draw dropping! synchronized so well with Leon's voice
