- I just got my truck painted (see the previous vids) and a lot of you asked where my foglights went.....well here is your answer! Yes, i plan on doing a projector kit up top too.
i'm not sure what i like more, the truck, or the music playing in the back.
damn good stuff
@lancelo96 actually they arent really as blue as the camera shows. They are actually bright white. I dont use them for "fog lights" i use them for driving lights - they are always on.
those projectors are really clean steve! Nice work like always
i did a retrofit projector in my headlights, that was alot of fun doing... ran into a bunch of wiring problems. nothing u couldnt do but they are pretty sweet, if i had the options of an aftermarket housing made with a projector id do that over a retrofit any day
must be nice to finally have your shop. makes all these jobs easier
hey steve something you should check into for your lighting: replacing the 3157 bulbs in your front turn signals with 3156. 3156 doesnt have the second filament, so this has the effect of disabling your parking lights - those bulbs will ONLY be on when you're using your turn signal. on my denali, i also removed that third bulb (2nd turn signal) from those housings. honestly not sure if this is even "legal" but it helps the look so much i dont even care. really sets off the HIDs. just a thought.
I didn't like the new paint job at first but now it's grown on me and I love it!
Plus nothing like a bit of Pantera right at the end eh?
I ordered 9004's High and low 6000k for my bronco last night! Cant wait for them! And i love how the High and low works too!
I would have totally thought he meant 8k for the same reason. But looking at that car it seems that meade knows where to get some custom parts...
@lancelo96 not using them for fog i am using them for every day (evening i should say) driving. They arent that blue they are mostly bright white. Camera exxagerates it.
That has to be the Cleanest Tahoe iv'e seen yet...
especially love the HID Headlights....and HID Foglights?...that's a cool idea never seen em before.
@majdi733 yup i like it that much. Might have to make a video of me cleaning my rims today.
nice update,, i like the HID
cool update on the fogs,,
oh and you're smd headquarters getting shape i see,,
nice work,,
let see if we can visit your shop sometime ,,
greetzz from holland :)
@06chysler300c thanks man..oh the camera exaggerates the blue. They arent as blue as they appear on video. Its more of a pure white.
your truck is so damn clean now. im lovin that paint too. i wasnt for it at first, but i was wrong. shits real hot man
@Sismiques no thanks. The ones i have perform just fine.
"those little boogers r bright" lol that was funny, lookin clean steve
i saw your headlights in another video and they looked gorgeous, these fog lights look so sick
If i could afford the projectors and HID kit's you got i would do it in a heart beat. im already thinking of just using projector fogs for a replacement of my headlamps because my OEM ones suck.
@DjGreenLeaf420 In actuality HID's of any color use less power to run than halogens. The amperage used by them is determined by the balast not the bulb itself. To create the different colors they use different gasses in the bulb, such as argon and others. The wattage of a HID in use is around 35 watts for most of the name brand kits. Some companies will sell overdriven bulbs by making the balast draw 50 watts of power which diminishes the life of HID bulbs big time.
man my uncle gotta 01 Tahoe that he only drives like once or twice a damn year..when he bought the truck it only had 12000 miles on it, may i remind you he bought it in 02..here it is 2010 and his damn truck only got 128** miles on it..still got that new car smell in it..lol..i need to show him your Tahoe...he'll lose his damn mind when i show him yours...lol..ya projector fogs look beautiful man..betta yet the whole damn truck is beautiful..keep doin ya thing big homie...
haha nice table tennis table, ive watched all of your vids, nice work!!
this is the best tahoe on youtube, man everything is 5 stars
@ILikeReallyBigButts hell no. When you get your first car, you can do what you want with your own fogs.
I agree with you I still have PnP and it still bright as hell when incoming traffic they flashed their headlights like they think I have my hi-beam on lol. On other hands I use 10k HID blue and I still haven't got pulled over!! :)
Btw I think you should install some LED plate lights ultra blue!!
That's a sick cut off on the fogs. Lookin good bro.
god projectors are awesome. it makes night driving feel hella much more safe :)
@sl0wm03 thanks and no thanks! 30000k is way too much. 7-8 max for me. Id never go lower then that though.
@FP5Gaming you say that now until you are stuck on the side of the road with one HID out. Been there, done that. You get what you pay for.
Hey man, my uncle is the one who hooked you up with those projectors.
@CodyLeeWatson thanks my friend i appreciate that!!!
those fogs look nice as hell
u know what would be sick the projectors with the inter changable angel eyes, theres some fool that lives by my pad with burgandy m3 like urs and he has it with the red angel eyes as just running lights and it looks sick a hell and its not all ricer looking it looks super clean
this is probably the most badass tahoe i've ever seen :O
Your truck looks really awesome man, love the clear look of the head and foglights.
Keep the video's coming!
@jesus15817 the angel eyes are the little tubes around the headlights that also light up. And i'm from Texas.
looks good, everything has come along very well! thumbs up!
make sure you post your projectors on here and how you did the install, some projectors i know wont work with aftermarket HIDs. Nice Work Also
Looks good bro, i picked up some hids from them while they were on sale a month or two ago, i dont know if they are or not, but i am very pleased with their product, i love them, Non homo.
2:58 , that is a nice line tho.. will look real nice and clean and high end at night
youll like the projectors for your head lights a friend of mine did them for his blazer and it made a big difference
@jesus15817 theres a differance between projectors and angle eyes.. you can buy plently of different aftermarket projector lenses but angle eyes have the actual ring around which you see on BMW
damnnnnn loving those fogs lights!! and 7000k they look sweet
Color Temperature is a measurement in Degrees Kelvin that indicates the hue of a specific type of light source. Many people believe the misconception that color temperature is a rating of the brightness of the bulb or HID conversion kit. This belief is completely false. The reality of the matter is that the higher the color temperature, the less useable light output you will obtain.
damn Steve, i promise that one day i will travel from sweden 2 u just to hear and se that tahoe! it´s iNZANE! freakin love it
big up´s from sweden :)
@vicouscirclecc nahh i like it the way it is. Put a SS front end on yours id love to see it though!
@meade916 it just depends on if you get the true blue hids or the wattage of the light....the higher the wattage the less blue there is 35 watt compared to 55 watt
@kevinthematthews dont know, dont care. Ive had them for 6 years with no problems - even been pulled over for other stuff at night and not had a problem. 7000k isnt bad......people pushing it at 10k and higher though. 30,000k your askin for it BIGTIME.
yeah steve, go with CinCity and have them set you up with some Retrofits and custom taillights. Then I think your Tahoe complete.
great looking steve gotta get me some of them
keep doin you!i got a 2003 and you are an inspiration..props!
@920gamez i should get a lot of things. That would be nice though.
thats sick mike. looks good on the road
@DjGreenLeaf420 The power output of the balast truthfully doesn't determine the color. Normal halogen bulbs at 55 watts put out just under 3000k. Most luxury cars have 4300k HID bulbs installed but some have gone to the 6000k ones which are on the verge of turning to the blue. It is the balast that determines the wattage used by the whole unit and not jsut the bulb. A good philips kit will come with a 35 watt ballast. Some companies overdrive to 55w which can kill bulbs faster.
Damn this was back when myspace was around... nice vid love the HIDs
@meade916 Clean isnt the word my man, this Tahoe is immaculate. Can't wait to see what else you have in mind with this beast.
Keep it up, Love the vids
those are sexy lights man..the light is clean..and clear
@FxOxC they will work great! did you get them from futurevision?
@domv9 Its the camera enhancing it......yours are probably the same IRL.
ya man its nice imaginin the projectors for the headlights but even those projector fogs dont do the justice, i put aftermarket projectors on my neon wit just some stock bulbs n it was a clear nite n day difference, theyll b amazin in ur headlights cuz of how high up ur truck is, ull c everythin for bout a quarter mile or more wit the projectors up there
Now Steve can safely drive through the nights... :P
very very clean man...love the truck
@Boymentation1994 i couldnt even begin to tell you. Its not like i bought it all in one sitting :)
they look good i like the 7000k joints
Love the shop!! super CLEAN!!!!!
@hockeykid962 The whiter ones are the more expensive ones, actually.. Because they look more like factory set ups.. You can spot out a cheap set up by how "blue" or "purple" they look... They don't come that blue or purplish stock, because it's not the most optimal light.. And 9 times out of 10, those cheap painted knock-off bulbs will look more blue than white... I don't know how you figure cheap set ups look more white. Haha..
looks great steve i like how your on there website installing some hids lol
I love Love love love! Love it!
Mhh I have 6000K I love only blue white and blue blue white not pure blue since haha it makes the road harder too see and police attention around here in Texas.
but! I love the lower ones and the top ones are aimed nicely at night soo you dont blind people I love people who actaully know how to aim projectors correctly : ) and Reg halogen light's : P I will look out for ur new fitment :P
I do wonder if thats a 35 Watt or a 55 Watt HID kit : P
I have a 35 Watt.
@meade916
Use yellow instead for front foglights, white/blue doesn't perform as well.
nothing but the best for your truck.
Nice Lights!!! Look sick!!!!!!!
dude your ride looks tight!! love the lights
@posernotricer All chevy cars come with standard halogen bulbs (most likely 9005 or 9006 bulbs)
@majdi733 sorry i dont understand what your talking about
@Sigrafix musta had them fake projectors then. Theres no way a real set of projectors looses to a set of stock halogens.
nice and bright dude keep it custom
Truck is clean keep up the good work
@sp4zumz make sure they are pointed down? nahhh how bout i aim them where they are supposed to be instead LOL. OH, and FTP.
@birkenhead2008 better for my grandmother. 7k is just right for me.
7000k is a unique temperature ive never seen those. I have 8k fogs and 6k lows
When you have HID fog lights you can literally see without headlights on.. on my 03DTS when I turn headlights on its bright when i turn my fogs on its like a wall of light.. ( closer to ground)
@neonzion7 do you think i just picked this up? ive had it since 2002. I you think the 2007 looks better then buy me one.
@meade916 Looks sick man Great stuff and nice lights and the top projectors will look sick.
wow that crash turned into a beautiful thing steve
thats a pretty sick truck man
@CanadaKyle02 thanks man and that sounds cool!
@akar3m0 that was the goal bro...clean :D thanks man!!!
I ordered some HIDs from futurevision about 2 weeks ago right before their shipping was down for two weeks but unfortunately when they came back after 2 weeks they only had half of a kit for what i needed so im hoping i can get a discount or something for them cuz they said its at least 2 more weeks b4 they can get some more in.
Thro all ur videos i watched i never knew u had air bags on ur truck
I want HID's in my Prelude, but thanks to WA state laws, I can't. Although the state hasn't stopped me from putting on exhaust and a turbo.
looks great steve.
dude i love the ride.gonna add an hid kit .is the retrofit to projectors especially difficult or is it more of a slow and steady methodical process?once again nice ride and you are awesome bro
@meade916 i agree. the new red sweet! Much better than stock.
Yeah once you go retrofit, you don't want to have anything to do with regular headlights anymore.. Visit theretrofitsource they got some good prices on actual OEM Projectors, Shrouds etc, use them all the time for my retrofits..
That looks sick keep up to good work I really enjoy your videos
@hockeykid962 whiter is better and it has nothing to do with how expensive they are....if they are too cheap they will be black not white LOL
fair enough man!!
watchin ya vids from the uk!! the Tahoe is awesome keep up all the hard work and postin vids!!!! thanks mate
those alternators sound like a supercharger steve
@hardtocreate its been done for a few years now......and the only poser in this room is you. PnP HID is fine, works great.....i'd do it again in a heartbeat if i had to.
nice! I am thinking of gettn some also!
