The referee tried to take wrestling out of the equation with those calls . But that young man was not to be denied.
They want Fix to win a championship so bad its comical
@@trumpdid9113 I know tell me about it.
Riding Fix out for the whole second period was so impressive, did not expect that.
I guess it was his game plan!
I noticed throughout the season and last season you could tell when cael wanted him to ride out some of his stronger opponents and you could tell he got better at it throughout the last two seasons you could see his improvement. It was amazing
That backtrip was filthy
Never thought I’d c someone do that to Fix
And they penalized him for it.
Daton fix always tryna win a championship by a bonus point by the ref
On god
Fact, the refs been helping Fix the whole tournament
I'm glad ref made those stall calls, need more refs to do the same. Top wrestling is beyond broken and everybody at this level knows it. Just watch guys like Ferrari or Cassioppi
@@reesecokeley3844 what does Ferrari do wrong on the mat?
@@sleekostrich4367haha
NCAA Championships is a real one for posting these already!!
Better than flowrestling because they give us free content
Great consistency with the stall calls, gotta love it. 1 in a whole match where fix was running away and 2 in 15 seconds against RBY.
1 with Rby was from the entire match Rby barely shoots and the last one was because Rby straight up backed up no continuation. Warranted. But didnt help
@@fredarroyo7429 he’s referring to the semis where fix was practically turning and running away. In this match they hit RBY twice for stalling and they hit him right after they hit fix for stalling which made no sense at all.
Wrong. Fix shot 3 times as much as RBY. Fix also should of got push out point.
@@patrickkaveny6674 this is folkstyle guy there is no push out points.
Patrick Kaveny if you don’t even know the rules just stfu
The ref was more involved in the match than Fix
@Senior Partner what’s your deal 😂
@Senior Partner have you ever thought that these aren’t fake accounts , and instead that you’re just being incredibly cringe ? Guess not lmao
@GayStation 5 I’ve never liked the Oklahoma style of wrestling they keep the scoring low and practice on defensive moves(borderline stalling) I’ve always believed in scoring as much as possible and taking shots. Plus he’s a hype job who uses enhancer.
@Senior Partner I can say I scored just as many takedowns and scapes and I didn’t have to leave home.
@Senior Partner cringe asf, no one wastes that amount of time doing that. you’re in denial, cope
Roman Bravo-Young 2-time national champ... you know, since he had to win that match twice.
No his this is his 1x national championship
He meant he beat Dix twice that night because of the bad ref calls.
Some one needs to look into the ref. The first call for stalling one could say ok. The second NO and the third you have to be kidding.
The third stall call was terrible!
You should never be called for " Fleeing the mat " when you are pushed out .
Gregory Wilson exactly
I’m so happy that RBY beaten Stalling Fix and revenged Austin D.
You mean avenged and that doesnt make any sense why would he “avenge” him?
Wrestling does the talking
Daton Fix is a powerhouse for sure ... I don’t understand why he doesn’t score more points... RBY is a breath of fresh air... always on the offense
Alright zip it up when ur done
RBY won this match TWICE, big credit to him for this huge win, and unbelievable calls by these refs trying to rob RBY of his impressive work that whole second period
He won again today
That ref had money on fix no doubt.
RBY backed up, should have been called for stalling again, and should of had a point against him for push out. Fix got screwed by the ref.
@@patrickkaveny6674 Fix did not score a single point the entire match. Fix was rode out for an entire period. Fix got 2 stalling calls awarded and got taken down to lose AGAIN a National championship. And Fix got “screwed” by the ref? Your ignorance is comical. And you are delusional. Bank this Zippy. Fix was suspended for PED’s. Fix is as predictable as a broken clock. Until he leaves Oklahoma State he may not win a National championship. He is a thug with not a strategic thought in his bone head. Fix has no variation in his game whatsoever. He needs to improve his take down defense. His strength is seriously impressive. At this level he cannot just thug his way to a National Championship. Penn State is vastly superior in coaching than the Cowboy’s. Fix could not win a National Championship when he was juicing with his meathead tactics he certainly cannot beat a superior coached wrestler and athlete. Were the hell you can up with your rebuttal proves your I.Q. is somewhere between a rock and a plant.
@@patrickkaveny6674 yapper
Hard to rationalize the way stalling was called in this match vs Fix's last match. Fix got every benefit of the doubt and lost no points while walking backwards for the entire final minute of the DeSanto match, while 2 points were awarded in just over 20 seconds in this one.
Never seen dayton fix get rode didnt expect that from rby damn..penn st will get you right no doubt credit to bravo
I just watched this at my wrestling club we were all so hyped
5:05 that back trip was a beauty
I thought that fix was gonna win it, but I wanted RBY to win. I’m so glad that hr did.
Back to back stalls
Is BS. Glad RBY got what he deserved.
Desanto put 10x more action into the semifinals and Fix only got called once for stalling. I’m so glad RBY won. I fucking hate how Fix wrestles and how he doesn’t get penalized for lack of offense
Remember when John Smith was trying to get cheap points off of an imaginary hands to the face lol
@@DTS_I foreal when he went against surriano he was shouting hands to the face the moment ref blew the whistle
Rby had zero offense
@@fredarroyo7429 actually attempted takedowns unlike fix.
@@DTS_I not 2/3rd of the match. Fix was trying to make stuff happen just respected RBY go behind. Thats not stalling. I d be scared of that go behind too. RBY teleports!
RBY just wrestled the best match of his career.
Fix can't resist his signature entry into the ring with the tumble and jump.
Had to re-watch this since i missed the first period due to basketball game going running late on ESPN..
Happens every freakin year. And its always a shxt non-game taking up space.
What was even better is when they offered it on another channel so I switched .... then when the BB game was over the other channel never made mention that it was going back to ESPN ... fucking clown show. Good thing I had it recording the whole time. Pisses me off Jeb
Very questionable on the last stalling call. RBY: "A national championship is a national championship."
Thts literally what happened at the suriano vs fix match for the title, same shot and reshot
I thought the same thing. I was like dang you lost to basically the same sequence you and Suriano had last year at Nationals. You know RBY studied that footage of fix vs Suriano in the finals.
WE ARE PENN STATE WRESTLING!
RBY. The whole F’n Show!!!
RBY looked like a kid on Christmas when he won. His eyes lit up when he accomplished his biggest dream
Atta boy RBY!!! Got that revenge for Desanto getting robbed
How’d Desanto get robbed. Fix got his two clean and when Desanto shot he countered well. He didn’t just hold on like Jake Wentzel does
@@AWBDream fix stalled the entire time they were both on their feet
@@SugaShane_ That's not true.
@@EHMD11111 that is very true. They called rby stalling twice in this match in 20 seconds but fix running away didn’t get called twice
RBY IS SIMPLY ON A DIFFERENT LEVEL !!!! Kids UNREAL !!!!
People say RBY was stalling but the better staller wins lmao in the end RBY wanted it more than Daton fix
Would’ve been criminal if those stalling penalties cost him
I keep coming back to watch this match and Lees, awesome wrestling
Both great wrestlers. Roman is on the rise to the top. Cant wait to see him fight in the mma.
Damn I thought Thegreatestever was gonna win
LMAO💀
DeSanto should’ve been in the finals, he got robbed. It’s actually sad
It would have been a better match... + more offense.
@@avidadolares 100%
He didn’t get robbed but Fix should’ve been called for stalling.
Good job kid!! Been paying close attention since your appearance at Dapper Dan... you came a long way... Congrats!!!!!
This was a good match
Fix’s body it’s on point. Damn.
Looked like he got impatient in the end and practically gave the match.
I did NOT expect this. The Weight class was ALOT weaker than expected. Without Suriano and Micic. It's pretty obvious that Fix is a choker. He doesn't go out and attack enough. He's lucky he even made the finals!!
Don’t try to discredit RBY. He’s gonna be a problem for the likes of Suriano and Micic.
Two awesome competitors.
Man....
What a crowd!!!!!
The thing about RBY is that he is lightning quick. He will take advantage of even the smallest of openings. He is going to get a takedown. He couples that with an ability to ride the guy for long periods of time. Those two things mean that his opponents have to be very careful and even tentative in how they wrestle. He rode Fix for the entire 2nd period, and Fix is a strong guy.
Congrats to rby, Kinda feel bad for daton though. U could see the pain in his eyes after the two
The moment he realized he was National Champ was priceless
This was a great game plan and win from Cael Sanderson and the new NCAA 133 lbs Champ Roman Bravo Young. It was the famous don’t get taken down in the first period, ride him out in the second period, and escape and circle, circle in the third period. Unfortunately, referee number 9 threw in a wrench and said nope both of you will make this exciting and go into overtime and Fix didn’t have the gas tank or know how to get out of RBY ride!!!
Congratulations to RBY!!!! NCAA 133 lbs CHAMP!!!!!
Love RBY he’s awesome.
Great match! I'm starting to follow RBY more now.
RBY reminds me of a really underrated wrestler from the mid 80s named Craig Corbin. Didn’t look it but was a beast on the mat.
So ecstatic for Ro-Ro, I had the privilege to see this young man, from his start, as a child,to now as a champion, this man has overcome adversity, and props to his grandfather. Big heart, both on,and off the mat. Congrats Ro-Ro,well deserved, and earned
At first I didn’t think Fix gave up 2 swipes but I’m thinking he may have now.
Smart match RBY! Win the one that counts.
Thanks ncaa
Another one Jaden for like a minute.
We want to watch the whole match.
I got the App, both NCAA & ESPN & can’t find anything that would show more matches.
Can you please pretty please with sugar on top ask the person/persons who’s deciding which matches we watch in round 1 of the 2022 NCAA Championships to stay with one match or split screen two whole matches?
They keep changing & we’re not getting a chance to watch the top guys.
It’s ESPNU.
We got less than a minute of RBY & Suriano
this confuses me. there are no ropes/rope breaks, pinfalls, submissions, steel chairs or tables.
(imagine i said the above in littlekuriboh's voice)
Beating Fix is an achievement.. beating Fix and the Ref (Monumental )
Big Oklahoma State and Fix fan, but RBY deserved that victory and happy for the young man.
Absolutely loved watching John Smith as a kid but it seriously needs t9 be discussed about him stepping down, he hasn't done anything for the last several years, I can't remember his last ncaa champ let alone a team, his recruits haven't panned out in years, again loved watching him wrestle but it's been close to 30 so years, no one growing up his looking up to him like they do cael at Penn, and again I'm a fan 😢
That was the quickest two I have ever seen
2 given a bit too fast? Can we establish control first?
PSU is able to perform at another level in the nationals thanx in part to Coach Sanderson's ability to keep his composure, thus his kids stay calm & focused/ Coach Brands & Coach Smith act as if their still wrestling/ I understand the passion, but they tend to take away from the wrestlers themselves with all the animation & constant attitude towards the refs/ Brands clearly over coaches at times/ 4 winners is impressive & 2 vs Iowa/! didn't Sanderson go undefeated in college....
I love wrestling but I can't wait to see a guy like RBY in MMA
Good stall warning on RBY. He should have tried more from the top.
Dayton Fix got a gimmie against Desanto
Great balance rby
Huge RBY fan here. But he gripped a whole lot of singlet in that OT TD
Cap
Good match.
thanks for uploading
2 stall calls in 20 seconds? That’s just laughable
Yeah, but fix didn’t get a stall call against desanto even though he stalled every round, not even a warning
RBY never tried a pinning combo, just sat back and stalled. He made fewer shots, got pushed out twice with no points. Ref screwed Fix.
THIS ENDED EXACTLY LIKE 2019!
That Tucson blood 💯💯
Sunnyside,and southside proud!!
That back trip was filthy
Fix looks bigger that RBY. Quality kids these two. RBY training a lot of MMA on the side these days. How you reckon he may do, if he indeed does cross over to the dark side.
It’s still crazy how much RBY progressed at Penn State. His first year he lost to Desanto and the other top guys at the weight class. Then comes back and dominates the next 2 years. Prime example of how much more superior Penn State is at producing champions. By the way, I’m an Iowa fan and hate Penn State. But you gotta give credit where credit is due
I don’t think Fix was stalling. He was attacking almost the whole match, but congrats to RBY!
I would love to see Roman Bravo Young vs. Iereman
Wow RBY stalling like crazy on too
I’m excited I’m about to meet the one and only RBY
Roman One hell of a wrestler 💯👌🔥
Stall calls were right
That counter btw pheeww
RBY won before the OT. That was a couple bs calls by the ref right at the end of the 3rd. Both super tuff competitors! Much Respect to them both
RBY 💪👍💪
Daton Fix lost the same way by a double leg but this time from RBY 💀
Last time was to Nick Suriano
@@Its._.david._.19 he knows
Anybody else sending their kid to the stall camp? I heard the coaches are Daton Fix and Chris Perry.
“Amazing set of calls in the last 30 seconds, you just don’t see that” the refs are always on fix’s side
I wish I had UA-cam when I was in high school 🏫
RBY is always like a snake ready to strike. You can't ever lose focus. One little move in the wrong direction and RBY is around you for the TD.
133 lbs wrestlers have the body composition of people who weigh 160-170
Wrestling Gilman probably helped prepare RBY for this. Now does RBY try to challenge Gilman for the spot?
He said doubtful he would make the cut and that he was going to help Gilman train.
7:59 why was the riding time only one minute and 58 seconds when he rode him out for the whole period?
Rby took bottom in the third and it took him 2 seconds to get away with the intentional release
@@combatspeed6392 ohh right, thanks. smart move by Fix to not just go neutral immediately
Congrats Kid!! God Bless. Keep your head up Daton, im sorry to see you lose two in a row, but you will get the last two, no doubts about it.
Always good seeing Daton Fix lose.
Near fall in 2nd period. If you run the video back, you can see that it is 3 seconds. Refs always miss this because it takes them 2-3 seconds to run all over the place.
Wow. RBY! Even with the officiating trying to give it the other way... still scratching my head even after rewatching those stalling calls?!?!?
the ref did try it & should be disciplined/ RBY overcame & so did PSU/ it feels as if the Nittany Lions are the champs/
im 13 wrestling 132 in middle school these grown men are the same weight as me and would throw me around like a rag-doll
He was ready to be so pissed at the ref until he realized he just won.
Daton Fix is still in college?
Rby. Came long way
Daton “stall boy” Fix
RBY was the one stalling here
@@noahbernstein4133 false.
Sarms
Fix doesn’t wrestle he just trys to win over the refs
Rby haad zero offense in this match
We got to see Rivera for less than 30 seconds it seemed.
