  • Hi Everyone. Sadly it seems our main summer nectar flow is over but ... we have some honey and it also seems a way better year than last year so far!
heres the first look at my new Carl Fritz 300 litre creaming machine.
Just to add the heater is 1,000 watt not 3,000, my apologies!
Heres the link. to the machine: www.carl-fritz.de/honey-proce...

Nice selection on glass jars! 👌🏻 much better and more high end than plastic.
The kilo is a lot more popular than people think. Good idea to offer that too.

Thats brilliant with them Chestnuts agree about how fast they grow. Also them small cast swarms people often discard them but they can become the most prolific colonies in the 2nd season. I had a cricket ball size swarm and its already almost caught up with the bigger swarms abd Queen is just laying through the roof. Pretty sure cast swarms queens go on more mating flights then bigger swarm queens, So many more drones around aswell when the cast swarms start

If you didn't have something none beekeeping related you won't have fun beekeeping 🫡.
Stay safe and healthy to do beekeeping tomorrow and reduce your lifting to have less back pain later in life trust me I know 😐👋.

It’s crazy how that creamer works, it looks just like caramel. I bet it would be delicious on ice cream.

In reference to the Apivar. It drives me crazy when prices for products are vastly different for a product depending on your country. I can understand a bit more for shipping but we pay double the price you stated wholesale (Canada).

I have seen labels with tick boxes for size/weight and honey season or type.

Had several drone laying queens this spring... due to poor weather during mating flight time so they never got mated or were very, very poorly mated and by the time you realize they are not laying worker brood... what a mess to clean up and have to melt down all my freshly drawn comb. Keep on Spinning!

my labels i have the same one for both my sizes, with a blank spot to write the weight on it. reduces the number of types of labels i need as they are interchangable. for the varieties, i do have different round labels to go on the lids, but for my area i only have 2 types, spring and fall, so thats easy!

You really need to make t-shirts that say “Fanny’s your Aunt, Bob’s your Uncle”….CLASSIC!!! 😂. I love when you say that! I laugh every time 😂

Love that creamer! I did my extraction yeasterday. Botteling today. I got some "cement" honey... no rapeseeed at all. As you say, it's more or less over for this year. Golden Rod, might give some more.
I envy your focus and will to make your dream come true!

I think a separate sticker for each type of honey would get attestation , maybe metallic red . It makes people think it's something special if you use a separate label with they type on it.

Hello Richard I have been doing creamed honey for quite a while now an most of the time I have always used my spring honey but this year I tried a darker honey because most of the people who purchase my honey loves my dark honey an they love the flavor of my dark creamed honey. Well I just thought I would try it an it is going like hot cakes . I have always used seed honey an it works very well an I think it takes a little less time to make that way . I really hope your creamer works well for you it looks great . THANKS

10% of creamed honey from previous batches, added to the pot is how we do it, the addition of crystals of any kind worries me. We try to keep as close as we are able to a clean organic product. Keep smiling.

If it is cremed to long so the crystals gers to smal i wil seperate , also the risc for fermentation is huge after seperation , you can melt it and start over then it wil be ok

Thank you some people where saying I didn't let it set at a low enough temp 14°c or below. I'll melt it in a cabinet and start again 🤦
