This is the best explanation of the Drive features I’ve seen on UA-cam, especially around pre-infusion with active and passive. That was confusing me but is now crystal clear. Thanks 😁
I feel like I'll wait for this since it seems a lot more updated than the ecm currently and the ecm and profitec machines are top class. The ecm is most likely due for an upgrade though
The ECM Synchronika and the Profitec Pro 700 (the predecessor of the Drive) were basically the same, the only differences were aesthetics. The Drive does add some great new features with the new PID and flow control being standard. I also think that ECM and Profitec have an edge over the Bianca in terms of build quality.
Thank you for the video. Its great. The one question I have is how does the Profitec handle multiple shot servings back to back? Does it take a long time to reset boiler temps for the next shot serving? I am concerned about hosting a small party and having to do 6 espressos one after another and have long wait times in-between. Also, I would love to see you do a review of the CREM ONE PROFILER Dual Boiler Espresso Machine. I am either going to buy the Profitec Drive or the Crem ONE PROFILER. The Crem ONE seems to have a quick reset after a shot and it has profiles you can program in the machine.
This is my first serious machine upgraded from barista touch, and first one with flow control and pressure gauge. Which gauge I need to pay attention to get 9 bars, one on the top or the right bottom one?
We have the Profitec Pro 600 with Quick Steam available, we also have the customizations like Walnut, Oak and Concrete and it is possible to change knobs for joysticks on an existing machine, you just have to change the valves.
I love my Drive, but, I really dislike the top tray. The entire tray and cups has to come off to fill the tank. I’m coming from a Rocket with a lid over the water tank which is sooo much better. Overall the Drive is amazing, but….

Thank you! Can the Profitec or ECM flow control system be installeted on an Appartamento Rocket?
Great video! Still debating pulling the trigger on this, the synchronika or Bianca?

Great video review, congratulations! When you insert the active pre-infusion, at how many bars of pressure is the water delivered? Thank you.
Great video. As always.

Does this make the Syncronika 1 a no sense buy now? It seems this is pretty much a Synchronika 2 unless I'm missing something??
I think they can make the LCD screen even smaller, I can still clearly see the shape of something that looks like numbers and letters!
I think you haven’t tested or seen this machine in nature ;) the display is small, yes, but big enough to read all informations needed very good

So if the flow control valve is open all the way the pressure will still only hit 9 bar and not overshoot?
Flow control and your OPV are completely seperate.
can you remove the cup rail? I want to purchase the machine, but not sure that it'll fit under my counter
I am debating this vs the La Marzocco Micra. 🧐
A dilemma indeed, both machines are very popular but they have completely different aesthetics.
Fantastic review. Is it possible to produce tasty shots from a light roast with this machine and E61 in general? If so, is it hard work?
hey, are you guys gonna sell the refreshed Profitec Pro 600? if not, is there a way to swap the knobs out for joysticks/levers?

@@iDrinkCoffeeCanada oh cool, for swapping the knobs for joysticks, do I needa bring in the machine? Or is it easy to DIY?
Its looks like the La Pavoni New Botticelli Speciality
