- A couple of weeks ago, Dave mentioned in a Tuesday Checklist that one of his best creations was the team he made in XCOM 2. So we're going to put him to the test... Dave has created the whole team again and is going to take us on an adventure! But once we're dead, we're dead... Who will survive?

Guys please make this XCom 2 playthrough a regular thing, it doesn't have to be a weekly thing though. Maybe every fortnight? I really enjoyed the stream and want to see you guys get through the harder levels in this game. Also loved the table top vibe because of the streams format where every body is making decisions like D&D. Can't wait to see more from Hot Pants Pearson and Dynamite Dave, Elle and Rosie need a nickname too now.

Need more that was great. Would recommend starting fresh so they would have a bit of a better chance surviving and get promoted. Could be an awesome once a month series.

Bringing rookies onto an advanced mission was... ambitious.

Rosies char quickly realized they were unprepared... PANIC!! It was like a scene from Starship Troopers
Phantom Eyebrow way more than ambitious plus a squad of 4. MENTAL
The vid flew by all the same; and honestly I think we were hoping it would go at least somewhat badly. The second attempt also had some genuinely good bits of play to go with the chaos! I would certainly be keen to see another instalment - perhaps at higher level, so each of the team is a specialist class, and with a larger squad.

This was hilarious. XCOM played like that is a lot like tabletop RPG, Dave is basically the game master. I enjoyed the whole banter which is quite tabletop-like
yeah agreed this was very funny. Good team vibe! would love a party based rpg playthrough like this. Rob as a hobbit thief, Dave as a cleric or bard, Elle as a Axe wielding barbarian and Rosie as either a Ranger or Wizard?? edit: p.s. I knew Rob would win when pulled out his power moves Sméagol and Obiwan xD

Absolutely amazing, thank you for making this fan's dream come true. I LOVED watching the Access team take on XCom2.
Rob was SO passionate in his hate towards the Vipers. I loved how his first custom character was fired on and died in the same turn as being discovered.. that could ONLY happen to Rob.
Rosie panicked both in and out of the game when faced with opposition, which was hillarious.
Elle desperately wanted to shoot things and was dodging like Neo from The Matrix. (Seriously, how many times did the enemies miss?!)
Dave championed the team and rallied them together, but will go down in history for being discovered and leading to the doom of the squad.
Great game, great concept, I'd definitely watch this format again, maybe for some of the specialized/chosen missions?
This would be a great series to start from beginning of the game. Make the team in the character creator pool to save time if a restart is required.
Of course, somehow Dave managed to kill Rob. 10/10. Almost scripted.

I'm pretty sure that hot pants were not a clothing option when I played XCOM 2.
EDIT: For newcomers to this channel, Dave put Rob's character into hot pants because Rob used to have a thing about playing games in his underpants.
I'm not sure about ps4 but on PC i had to get a DLC to get that clothing option. I think it was called "Anarchy's Children"

You can tell Rob is going crazy by how slow it went. Do more 4-person co-op guys. It’s fun. But could help to be slightly faster

I absolutely loved this! I would love for a full run through of this game, with the War of the Chosen DLC because of the squad relationships, funny pictures, and various soldier types. I also think it would be amazing if Playstation Access entered in all their staff in the data base so they could be characters. Thanks for this playthrough guys :)
Love how Rob plays his second character just like his character from Cyberpunk 2020 lol. Flanking from the shadows and splitting the party.

I'd love to see more of this. You guys could do a new Sunday episode thing like Snake Easter, starting the campaign from scratch and passing the pad for each turn. When you die you leave the game and the team have to keep playing the campaign with only remaining squad members.
My favourite PS4 game played by some great people - I would love to see more, please make it happen. But do the war of the chosen expansion as that is unbelievably challenging and the true xcom 2 experience!
This does make me want to play Xcom 2. I was a bit put off due to the difficulty at the time (just wasn't in the mood for it), but this seems doable. After all, if the PS access team can make it partway through a mission, anybody can. Very fun stream guys.
Do more of this guys, this was great! Maybe start from the beginning if you'll be starting with rookies, that was just pure punishment for those guys! Lol. Or maybe unlock the extra squads so you can bring Nate and Dan together on the mission as well!
Xcom isn't my game, but I'd definitely watch a regular series of this.

This was a great stream! Please do more, it's great to get the whole team involved (please include Nath next time) Got to make it a series starting from the beginning so we can see promotions etc. Whenever someone dies you have to bring them back as a rookie... You could have a running Death Tally.
The banter would be great with this games randomization mechanic!

that was awesome, you guys and girls are friggen hilarious, i especially liked it when Rob died in the first round and did like a spread eagle over the hand rail in his jocks. well from this view it looks like jocks. gutted that you didn't get to finish the mission on this stream. great entertainment.
DAVE! You can add created characters to the character pool, so you don’t have to constantly remake them.

Dave's reveal can be seen like this: he ran up to the parapet, and was visible against the sky/horizon.
If he'd moved up to the full cover next to the position he chose, he would not have been spotted.
Once you see an enemy, you can also see in which positions that enemy will spot you. Therefore, it's a good idea to be a bit more careful when moving up to the edge of a roof where you don't see what's beyond it.
And if you do want to run up like that, it's better to do it on a blue move, so you can choose to retreat/fire/do something else.
Great fun, this. And should listen to Rosie more... she had some top notch strategies, but people kept talking her out of them XD

Xcom is my favorite game, glad y'all played it. You should start on the first level though it would have been a better jumping point for newbies

It started out slow since the basic concept was still hazy to some of us but this was actually pretty cool. Those kills really do start to feel like big accomplishments. Definitely do it again

I would love more XCOM 2 streams. Get a full build of the access team and get them leveled up a bit so we can see some special abilities, it'll be a blast.
Totally do more! Next time you could do pass the controller so the player actually gets to control their character. That would be awesome, given me a fun idea to do with friends. An evening of x-com 2 where we all play as one character :D

Is Dave unaware of the little target that is beside an enemies health that shows where you can and cannot shoot them from before you move there?

i love this game so much, i am sad i missed the stream. you all did so well, but Dave should play more if he only encountered a viper and not a berserker. red shield is flanked/exposed and take critical damage.
This stream has taught me about patience. Maybe the Access team should just open a school.

I so miss the interception missions in the old xcom games.
After playing a load of Xcom and watching this again after a while, I can now see that Dave had no idea what he was talking about haha. Hope he trains considerably for the next stream.
