Just an fyi from a trucker, do your laundry after you take a shower so you can wash the clothes you took off and not cary dirty ones back to your truck. Also, my hubs and i have had many, many meals from truck stop groceries (spent 9 years over the road), Love's truck stops always had the best varietys. You can also check the coolers, some places even sold bacon and eggs as well as lunch meat, hot dogs, and our favorite was the Better with Cheddar brats, soooo good. Happy and safe travels to you.
This is an excellent project if campers are going on a long trip this is a way to recharge ones batteries by saying that I mean their physical batteries, one extra thing use half of your baked beans on toast with a fried egg for breakfast
Hey Ryan, pro chef here. You should put a folded wet towel/paper under your cutting board to make it secure. Also maybe get a slightly bigger one that would suit your knife better (wood is dirtier but easier on the edge of the knife, plastic is cleaner). Also a heat proof silicone spatula would help you clean up pots and pans better = less waste and less dishwashing :) Thanks for the content, always great.
Hey Ryan. Been watching your videos a lot these days. Thanks for sharing the cooking advice and positive vibes. The thing I like most you is that you seem like a healthy, positive, drug & alcohol free person that is a good role model for me right now. Keep up the good work! I appreciate you!
I'll never look at Lay's classic chips quite the same way ever again. I watched that 30 second segment 3 times. Simple.. yet Brilliant use of your ingredients. Your ability to wing-it as a chef is fun to watch. Love the channel. Thanks
The meals using only gas station food makes me think of that show "Chopped" where you could only use the basket ingredients. Definitely keeps you creative with those meals.
Hey RYAN! My wife and I really enjoy watching your videos & we watch them regularly. We are lovingly concerned with your sodium consumption. Please check things like jerky, etc. that have high sodium.. We want you to be happy and healthy ❤😊 especially with sitting for long periods with your travels. Hashtag no blood clots or clogged arteries please ❤ hope you make your way out to WA🎉
I swear this is the most unintentionally hilarious video you have done Ryan. I was seriously laughing the whole way through. The audacity of some of those meals, only you can pull off something like that. Ah man, I love this channel 😂😂😂
Yea I never in a million years figured you could make mashed potatoes out of Lays . Shepard pie and sandwich looked great but I bet those eggs Benny sucked LOL 😅
Ryan, your voice is so calm and conversational. I fall asleep to your videos every night. They calm me. LOVE seeing so many subs. I remember when you had about 20k!
Pro tip Ryan: Whenever you're making toasties just lather up both sides of the sandwich and insert your filling before you toast up in the pan, the mayo has a higher burning point than your bread, giving your filling more time to melt and a tastier, more crunchy crust. Love the content, keep it up x
I love this dudes van. I don't have the desire to own one, but if I did, I would want that build. 😁 It's like a traveling man cave. The layout is great, the color is great and the ceiling is amazing. I've been thinking about making something like that for my office.
In a pinch, good mayonnaise (Blue Plate or Duke's for example) makes a good egg yolk substitute. Good mayo is egg yolks, oil, acid, and salt. I've made both Hollandaise and Caesar dressing using mayo. This doesn't work as well with lesser brands because they also use egg whites.
I'm impressed that you were able to cook what you did with the ingredients you had. Rehydrating the chips was a great idea. I enjoy these videos - keep them coming!
Just stumbled upon your channel & I am obsessed. Didn’t even know you were a fellow Baltimorean (Marylander) until I was already subscribed. My husband & I want to convert an rv or something sooooo bad & live on the road so seeing you do it is such an inspiration. You are so cool & down to earth I genuinely enjoy watching your videos!! I watched the entire Alaskan Highway video & now I’m hooked 🎉😂 I hope nothing but blessings come to you in the future 😊
I would highly recommend not having your laptop on a blanket while doing anything demanding - it breathes from the bottom, best to have it on a solid surface or even better - elevate the bottom off a surface so it can have unimpeded airflow, might make whatever you have going on happen a little faster, and lead to less wear and tear of this internals
Ryan's recipe ideas are always great. I was wondering what to have for dinner tonight and now I think you gave me an idea with that custom made shepherds pie!
I have to say Ryan !!! There’s no limit to the imagination you use in your cooking using potato chips to make shepherd’s pie !!! You are definitely your own man !! ❤😊👏👏 Your hand is not big enough to hide the dishes in the sink … 😮
He didn't make a shepherd's pie though, he made a cottage pie. Shepherd's pie is made with lamb, it's kinda implicit in the name "Shepherd's pie" as a shepherd watches over a flock of sheep, not cows..
While putting the shepherds pie in the oven you said...."I haven't had anything else to eat today"..... What about the sandwich you made earlier in the video? lolol. 😀
I think a gas station recipes cook book is in order. Love this episode of culinary invention and reconstituting bland to cuisine. You never fail to entertain!
Okay, this really was a fun video, but not gonna lie, I was dying just a little over the hollandaise. Eggs benedict are one of my signature dishes, and this broke my heart just a little lol I was even down with your lays mashed potatoes, but the hollandaise had me yelling NOoooooO! at my computer screen!
It's funny to see someone doing this for content. Worked like 3years at a doing night shift at a gas station. Cooking like this was my life then. Always thinking "What can I do to make this junk food better?"
Hello my fellow Baltimore Maryland neighbor... this was so creative. Really liked the potatoes that you made from chips. Anyway stay safe. Looking forward to the next video. Peace.
OK. That was a creative use of truck stop sandwich food but the rest of the world is still stunned at how GD sweet everything in the USA is - I remember the sugar content of commercial bread was obscene. Real rye bread, pickles ,onion, cured meats, cheese and hot mustard. Or in Asia, fish or eggs and rice and vinegar, ginger/garlic, bitter greens, etc. Salsa, beans and eggs with corn tortillas. Flat bread stuffed with curried veggies in South Asia or slow-cooked mashed beans with garlic and olive oil spooned into a pita and eaten with a fresh hot pepper in the Middle East. Lots of roasted, savoury meats at truck stops too along with thick, wholesome soups and warm, fresh bread. The rest of the world doesn't eat dessert for actual meals - except for sliced fresh fruit and plain yoghurt with honey as a side dish in some European/Middle Eastern/Greek places along with the savoury - typical breakfasts/lunch. No wonder USA people are so big :D EDIT - even the ham and pickle relish are stuffed with sugar :o EDIT 2 - Sheppard's Pie = lamb or mutton, Cottage Pie = beef and neither have beans. Just saying (shepherds tend to sheep, not cows). No tomato sauce - gravy! 'Merica! EDIT 3 - lotsa fun and very entertaining but nothing nutritious or authentic :D :D
Just what I needed to watch at the end of a long work day. You’re funny without trying. Top moment for me was the ”Feels violating” moment on the massage chair. Ha! 😂
Great Job on the Chip-Mash I think those hard boiled yokes-Benedict would of did me in, I would of been in the rest room for the last hour for sure. Another Great video, Thanks.
I spit my iced tea out when you were describing the air going up your butt in the massage chair!😂😂😂 I so enjoy your videos, Ryan. Your family must be so proud of you. ❤❤
I had a giggle watching you create your meals, reminded me of my other half cooking... he always thought the food tasted pretty good too, in reality it tasted like crud 😂😂😂 At least you didn't get food poisoning from the burger... I was worried for you 😅
Ryan, Liked the Cowboy Hat on You !! LOL.....So Creative w/ the Lays PC's as mashed potatoes...I will have to try that....Im heading up to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington in 2 weeks and do some winter camping, for a week...I understand you Play Music ....Way Cool....I also Play and Record songs....Are most the music you play on Your Videos , Your Creations ? Peace Bro !
Ryan this is a very creative video. Keep making videos like this. You’ll get bigger than you already are. I know a lot of UA-camrs that did that and they kept doing it and got millions of views and subscribers. Food connects everyone. Don’t stop making food videos. It’s the number 1 thing that everyone has in common. Humans have to eat to survive and they love watching what other people eat.
My toxic trait is being compelled to point out that shepherd's pie is traditionally made with lamb. When it's made with beef, it's cottage pie. (Still, excellent work!)
I loved the challenge of this. You were super creative and last night I needed potatoes for my Sheppard's pie. Who would have thought lays potato chips lol
You can make Egyptian fried eggs with those boiled eggs. Or you can make Tapatio style fried boiled eggs -- slice, fry them in the butter, and add hot sauce. It's delicious!
As a fellow traveler, I've met folks that have stayed multiple days at Loves/TA/FJ - using these stops as a base station for visiting local sites. Just do NOT set up an 'apartment' outside your rig (It's these people that eF it up for everyone). And park at a different spot every night.
That is a nice truck stop. We used have one just like that in Walton, KY TA Petrol with lots of items but they tore it down and replaced it with less than 10% of what they used to offer.
For the hollandaise sauce, you were just missing the butter!!! Instead of adding the milk you could have added some melted butter and that would have been almost perfect hollandaise!
Those mash potatoes looked grim...I was starring to think you had turned into one of those people who say everything tastes good until you got to your eggs benedict 😂😂....also how long until we get the world's smallest camper update
I watched a couple of this guy's adventures. I have to say it's a little impressive his cooking skills. I've you know he put together things that i'd. I don't think every man would be able to do.

There is nothing better than coming home from work on Monday kicking back with the wife and watching Ryan before dinner.
Dinner already? East Coast?
Wtf? Boring ……
The moment that mayonnaise squirted like he just cum and his grunt, omg y’all felt that like you are kneeling before him catching that delicious milk.
Man, ain't that the truth!

Imagine saying plastic is cleaner than wood. Wood is naturally anti-bacterial if handled right.

I was totally impressed with the potato chip hack to turn them into mashed potatoes. Great job!

I went to culinary school and I have to say a big thumbs up for your ingenuity in creating that shepherds pie with gas station ingredients.
