Amazing job, Gary. Great meeting you today at the Didsbury car show. It was so good to sit in this car. It brought back so many memories of happy driving.
Absolutely amazing job! Beautiful car and the level of effort shows. Working through a light resto of an '84 1.1 L Fiesta currently, and this gives me motivation to keep on going!!
Thanks for a very enjoyable and informative story of your restoration Gary. You deserve all the positive comments and you are very modest. This is a true nut and bolt rebuild from the chassis up and it’s great to see a late XR2 looking so good and back on the road. I hope you have a lovely time driving and showing it over the years .
Well thank you for your very kind words, hope fully my restoration videos will boost other restores who are struggling and help them complete their projects😊
Excellent work, had one of these for 8years suffered same rust in usual places but loved it,hindsight would have stored it away instead of selling it then new owner writing it off within a week.enjoy it and use it all the best
Really good work, top result. I worked for royal mail, we had some cvh vehicles, early cvh had cyl head porosity issues. Eventually sorted, hemi heads were good then, before going to pent roofs, and now 4 and five valve heads. We also had problems with fomoco auto choke carbs.
Gareth, I have been out of town these last few weeks and your videos were a lovely past time while I sat alone in my accommodation! The vehicle looks the business! I assume “chuffed” means you feel like you could have done better but take it from me and the rest of your followers, you and the team have a done a great job! As a professional what advice would you give to an amateur like me looking to get into the classic car business?
Hi Gary.... Bloody marvellous chap ! I get the impression you have had no formal training ? And like myself painting in a domestic garage is neighbour dependant 🥲🙂 l got the impression you'd not used 2-pack before . 2 coats is more than enough for what you looking for . ....you're a natural .......well done !

Hi, I am not a professional, it’s purely a hobby, all works undertaken by myself at home.
Wow! I thought you had the backing of a full team! Great achievement! Inspiring!
A credit to you Gary - finished car looks wonderful, what is your gun and compressor set up ?
Hi Richard, just a gravity fed gun of eBay and a 50ltr compressor with a filter regulator attached.
All that prep and hard work has paid off, it just shows, there is more to good results than an expensive set up .
2 good coats is enough never 3
are you selling ?
Sorry no.

Hi John, Yes self trained, have used 2 pack in the past, but like a flat paint job, so always add an extra coat😉
