The Mazda MX 6 is mine. Took the prize for the 1990-1999 cat. It was indeed the sister car of the Probe from the Ford-Mazda era.

The E Type’s an FHC not a 2+2 ie a low roofline one. Also from the info about it on the board just back from 1700 miles on the continent, so you’re right LHD perfect for it.

These are the same bulb holders as my classic mini. I fitted blue ones. The green ones certainly make the display a lot brighter

Always liked the imps, never had one, now a lot more expensive than a mini. You did a good job with restoration.

From memory the Imps all had a common problem. The accelerator cable snapping.

Had a 998ccwills ringed imo front rad was a hoot to drive but rolled it into a telegraph pole - car dead

I replaced a 3 way water hose 2 years ago . Blooming thing is leaking already im going to fit a new one before the weekend , i hope this one lasts a bit longer.

Nice meeting place and good collection of cars, I like your Sunbeam Imp. My brother had a Singer version of the Imp with a tuned 998cc engine, also had a Gorge Hartwell tune Sunbeam Rapier 1963 series 2A. Fantastic cars. Sadly the Rapier no longer with us. All the best Bob

Can’t tell you how many of them I fitted back in the 80s. HT 757 glass code from Laddaw glass. Without fail the glue holding headliner would come unstuck every time so I would run a length of electrical insulation tape on the appeture and cloth liner so it didn’t pull out when tugging on cord to fit. Had the same XR2 in 1986. C798REW. Diamond white. Like many, was stolen and never recovered. You have a beautiful car there Gary. I’ve watched you work on in. Amazing job. Probably not as desirable to steal nowadays, but I do hope you have some protection on it.

I once saw that Aston Martin DB6 convertible with the same racing wheels a few years ago one day when I visited West Kirby. It was parked up in front of a Natwest bank with noone around it, I took me by surprise seeing such an expensive classic parked up. I thought it was strange it had those wheels. I That blue Reliant is a Rialto. My uncle still has his 1982 Rialto estate (I think it's the estate modeo) in cream, but since giving up using it due to a clutch problem it has spent the last 25 years or so in his back garden moulding over with no cover on it.

Nice little job there mate , if only all windscreens were like that to fit on today's cars . I was a windscreen fitter for 10 or so years from 1999 onwards.

In Iacocca’s haste to down size the Mustang and his desire to relive the glory days of the original car from 10 years earlier, he unwittingly created a car that was a poor caricature of its former self. The Mustang II could be deemed as the first car to employ retro styling and in this case the outcome was poor. Unfortunately the Mustang II came away looking like a Pinto with elements from a 1965 Mustang tacked onto it. For such a compact car Ford managed to make the Mustang II look heavy, frumpy and dated right out of the gate. It was a car that your grand mother would lust after. Toyota’s fast selling Celica, a car modeled after the Mustang but aimed squarely at the sub-compact sports car market, was far more successful at pulling off the look of a modern sub-compact Mustang. Incidentally the Celica was also available as a notchback or hatchback just like the Mustang II. Additionally Ford’s own European Carpi was also a much better looking rendition of a sub-compact Mustang, looking light, tight, sporty and elegant all at the same time. From a styling point of view the imports were light years ahead of the Mustang, a car that had once inspired them. Sadly, the Celica and Capri also handily outperformed the Mustang II. hello I'm from Winnipeg Manitoba Canada I'm a new subscriber to your Channel I have a huge interest in cars and Anything Automotive. believe it or not one of my sisters had a car the exact same color as that Mustang and it was garbage she got laughed at constantly as the car looked bad and drove bad and never started in the winter the heater never worked the air conditioning never worked and even the windshield wipers fell off however there's one car I really like that you showed us in this video is the Mercedes Benz convertible with the red seats I mean talk about Elegance and proper engineering now you'll never get a car like that they are rare

My cousin owns an RS Turbo in white, he lives in Kitt Green, but I don't think that's his car here. I've seen it twice at this meet as my dad once took his Scimitar and his Tiger Cat kit cat there.

My dad's last motor before he died was an 83 Scimitar GTE 6E6b which I sold in 2019 for a crappy 2 grand, yes 2 grand. I wonder how many Scimitar owners would part with theirs for that money? none I would think. It had a Cologne engine and galv chassis and only 400 or so where made. I've just seen a project 6E5a on facebook, no engine included for £1,900. I think I made a big mistake selling it for that much, but my dad bought it in 2016 for about £2,600. Why the car was so cheap at the time I don't know as there was nothing majorly wrong with it, though the bodywork had quite abit of blistering on it, including a large bulge on the roof. But that didn't stop the person who I sold it to flogging it for nearly 4 grand less than a year later lol. I don't think Scimitar's are worth much more than 5 grand, with the exception of a Middlebridge, but the owners seem to think they are for some reason.

I used to go to the Corner House classic meet at Wrightington with my dad who sometimes brought his 1983 Scimitar GTE SE6b, though he didn't have it long before he died. We saw some very expensive classics at that meet, there was a bloke who owned a Ferrari 275 GTB, a Ferrari 250 SWB, and a Ferrari 275 California Spyder which was a rebodied Ferrari. Plus loads of E-Type Jags, Healey's, Jaguar XK120 and 140, Morgans; etc. I remember seeing an Aston Martin DB5 that had no front or rear bumpers attached and it had lipped wheel arches which wasn't standard for that partcular model, though I suspect it was used for racing. Some people seem to have too much money lol.
