@Resinds .P I'm not a fan of all the alpha/beta terminology but as someone who has a lot of anxiety, I spend a lot of time thinking about what others will think, everytime I do an action. Things as basic as saying hello to someone. But this video highlighted that issue and I try to act on things I want to do, rather than having a buffer where i overthink and either do things awkwardly, or avoid social interaction which is equally awkward.

It’s interesting because about in the weeks before I stumbled across this video I’ve been undergoing a mental and physical change. I’m 17 and weightlifting has really helped me bulk up and done a lot for my confidence, and with this, I realized that I was being too passive and nice. Before I had exhibited all the traits of a ‘nice guy’ and I was ready to change that. I started by being way more direct and basically giving very little fucks what people thought about me without being a dick. I was noticing some seriously amazing changes in my life with girls and the way other people treated me, but I wasn’t even sure what exactly I was doing. Stumbling on this video really helped me in a lot of ways. I’m tired of being too nice and getting treated like shit because of it, so wish me luck, I’m going to change a lot of things.

Snapping happens because you feel like you have been taken advantage of. In order to prevent that you need to change the why you are nice. Whenever you are about to help someone ask yourself if you would be happy if they never repayed the favor. If any part of you feel uncomfortable with that don't do the favor, or say what you expect in return. Ultimately this will make you feel better. And people may LIKE a nice guy, but they LOVE someone who is happy with themselves.

As a man who's had his own experiences and has tried to make others happy I say... f this. Wanting to please others is just a way to survive. People are generally self-centered A-holes. I suggest staying away from people as much as possible unless you have lessons to learn. Get in shape, teach yourself skills, and comply with whatever rules are necessary to follow. Do everything to get away from people because what they add to the formula is corrosive.

Black onyx, I'm stating that fact as I have found it to be true. "Likes" inside the comment section serve two main purposes, one, being to get the channel owner to notice your comment, or to get validation from other commenters as a form of psychological currency. Whether other people accept or deny it is up to them. And when I said I'm "doing something about it," I was speaking of myself, as I unarguably used to be a beta male. I'm am glad to say I no longer use the defining traits of a beta male.
The main take away from this video is that an alpha male has confidence. I used to be the nice guy as described and related to women more than men. I can't tell you how many women said that I was such a good friend but when I inquired about starting a relationship was met with, "You are too nice of a guy for me to date" or "You are a nice guy but..." I did a lot of personal development since then and have matured quite a bit. I do not seek validation from other people but I still have regard for them. I have the mindset that we need to take care of our fellow man (people), just like we did back in the day. If you find somebody in a jam, you help them. Wow some comments here astound me. This coming from a girl who has encountered a lot of annoying "nice guys" (I hate to generalize it, but these guys have recurred and been very similar) the main reason I believe girls (such as myself) won't give them a chance IS NOT because of their looks, or their KINDNESS or ANYTHING OF THE SORT. It's their "complacency", or as mentioned in the video, their "pushover-ness". It’s interesting because about in the weeks before I stumbled across this video I’ve been undergoing a mental and physical change. I’m 17 and weightlifting has really helped me bulk up and done a lot for my confidence, and with this, I realized that I was being too passive and nice. Before I had exhibited all the traits of a ‘nice guy’ and I was ready to change that. I started by being way more direct and basically giving very little fucks what people thought about me without being a dick. I was noticing some seriously amazing changes in my life with girls and the way other people treated me, but I wasn’t even sure what exactly I was doing. Stumbling on this video really helped me in a lot of ways. I’m tired of being too nice and getting treated like shit because of it, so wish me luck, I’m going to change a lot of things.

"Likes" inside the comment section serve two main purposes, one, being to get the channel owner to notice your comment, or to get validation from other commenters as a form of psychological currency. Whether other people accept or deny it is up to them. And when I said I'm "doing something about it," I was speaking of myself, as I unarguably used to be a beta male. The main take away from this video is that an alpha male has confidence. I used to be the nice guy as described and related to women more than men. I can't tell you how many women said that I was such a good friend but when I inquired about starting a relationship was met with, "You are too nice of a guy for me to date" or "You are a nice guy but..." I did a lot of personal development since then and have matured quite a bit. I do not seek validation from other people but I still have regard for them. I have the mindset that we need to take care of our fellow man (people), just like we did back in the day. If you find somebody in a jam, you help them. For me, it really comes down to where you get your identity from and being confident in who you are.

Alpha is just a label. And many have different opinions of what makes one an alpha. The traits in this video is good traits actually. But in the end of the day if one is doing those traits to bear the title "Alpha" then I say he is no better than the "nice guy" being nice to get something out of it. But if one is genuinely trying to better themselves just for the sake of bettering themselves. That is genuine and I say that is good. Not chasing some frivolous label.

Wow some comments here astound me. This coming from a girl who has encountered a lot of annoying "nice guys" (I hate to generalize it, but these guys have recurred and been very similar) the main reason I believe girls (such as myself) won't give them a chance IS NOT because of their looks, or their KINDNESS or ANYTHING OF THE SORT. It's their "complacency", or as mentioned in the video, their "pushover-ness".
The type of guys I will not date are the guys that say "whatever YOU want to eat" or "whatever YOU want to do" when I ask. Or when they agree with everything you say, do everything you ask of them without complaint. It's annoying, and frankly uncomfortable when that happens and to me, it doesn't seem like being nice. It seems like being complacent. Nobody wants that. It doesn't feel equal or right.
Not saying you should be mean or demanding or argumentative all the time, but sometimes voicing your own opinions and having the opportunity for playful or openminded banter is more fun. It's fun for me to argue about whether pineapple should go on pizza or having to convince my boyfriend to go to that "annoying" concert with me. I'd take playful banter over a "yesman" ANY DAY.
Basically dude, girls aren't as shallow as you think. No need to hit the gym now and gain 20 lbs of muscle, like what some comments are saying. I just said they shouldn't adopt every single opinion of the person they like in order to be more relatable/likeable because it actually comes off as passive/complacent. It's just difficult to hold a conversation when it seems so one-sided with responses ALWAYS, like "yeah, me too!" "yeah, me neither!" "yeah, same." "whatever you want." "whenever you want" "up to you." "whatever you like." It's a little frustrating.
You need to learn these tips alone. And often it's through hardships. I was bullied and introverted as a teen. Started abusing drugs to feel better and eventually got a panic attack. Decided enough was enough and got clean and worked out. For over a year now. Not just my body has gotten better but my mental health is as high as it's ever been.
