You've always been my go to advisor whenever I'm making a new film photography related purchase. Thank you, sir. Much respect from Cairo, Egypt.

Thanks very much for the walkthrough. It was great! Mine is draining batteries even when it's off, have you ever heard about this issue? I'm in Colombia and there aren't many people with experience with these cameras :(

You’ll need to get it checked over by a Contax specialist. Hopefully it will be repairable.

Here’s a great G2 hack if the battery dies and you have the TLA200 flash: You can use the two batteries from the flash and continue shooting since they’re the same type of batteries. 😊

Dang I have never seen the black version like that, very cool

The black Contax G2 is very rare. The titanium-coloured version is far more common!

Love the G2 when I had mine. Traded it for a mint Leica M3 and Late model 40mm Rokkor but I miss the point and shoot experience sometimes

The Leica M3 is a fantastic camera. With practice and zone focusing it can be as quick as the G2. But it takes perseverance!

Hey Jonathan, i have a hard time with the viewfinder. I can't tell when i'm in focus or not. Any tips ? thank you very much

You need to trust the AF to do its job. Otherwise, if you prefer to focus manually, look at a Leica M camera.
