I can’t help but make another comment. Your videos are absolutely top shelf. Visuals, lighting, audio, voice, pace, transitions, editing, everything are spot on and seamless. My only “complaints” are they are way too short and way too long between releases! 😂 But quality beats quantity every time!
the photos sure looked great with these lenses :D if you wanted to take some portraits, get a 90s outfit for your model, get a roll of some color or b/w film that was in production back then (idk trix or sth) and any camera with that lens. youll be in heaven.
From personal experience, life in the 1990s was great. The Web was at its heyday, and there was a lot of excitement for this new thing called the Internet. Mobile phones were simpler, messaging was simpler, and the ability to call people from wherever, or send them a text that they would read and respond to right away felt a bit like magic. Photography-wise, it was awesome. Lots of cameras to choose from, at any price, and with some fantastic mid-level and high-end SLRs (though I never liked the increase in use of plastic for camera manufacturing). Film was ubiquitous and cheap - you could even buy it at a supermarket, at least where I lived - and you could easily find a photo lab that really developed & printed your rolls in one hour. The whole process, now that I consider it with hindsight, felt as fast and convenient as digital is today. Cheers! //Rick
Imagine meeting someone born in the 90's. What fascinating tales they could regale. Historians claim they were once ruled by a monarch known as the "Fresh Prince".
Gonna be honest here. I've been following you for a while and everytime I see the notification I go on my big monitor, close the curtains, put my headphones on, relax and watch the videos and it's a f***ing blast! I might be wrong by doing this comparison but it's like I'm enjoying a Blade Runner and let me tell you. This movie is my favorite of all time since I watched it few years after the release. I would really love to see an episode in which you talk about your journey, what did you do (I think you're a machinist), how you came to photography and filmmaking, how you got better, what inspires you (I have a small idea), it would inspire a lot of us.
Thanks for introducing us to this stuff. Love that you’ve been putting out more content recently. Always enjoyable. Although,no pressure. Just release whenever you want.

I love your content. I love your aesthetics. I love that retro-cyberpunk style visuals and voice you make. Please keep making videos like these. You've inspired me as an amateur photographer to finally persue making more videos with aesthetics that I actually like (much like yours). 💙
Just wondering: when adding shims to reach infinity focus, how do you know when it is achieved? Is this a matter of trial and error and seeing if the image on the camera is at infinity focus, or is the visible without having to screw the lens housing together?

I use a Contax G Biogon 28 on my Fuji XT cameras a the time. I need a conversion so I can use these Contax G lenses on my GFX. They have adapters for Fuji X with focusing, but not for GFX. Maybe I could DIY something (the price for these conversions seems a bit high for me, especially for the Biogon, if that conversion even exists)
Is minimum focus of 0.5m lost by converting the lens? I know the patch in Leica won't follow below 0.7m, but still useful feature to use with Live view. Thanks!
Those may be good Lenses, but today it is easier to produce high quality Lenses due to computer software, I just got the excellent Zeiss Loxia 21mm 2.8 which I can recommend.
