Today I take the Harley Low rider ST out for a full review, I also had a lovely encounter with a very friendly lady who was very interested in the bike. And a trip for some fresh milk, direct from the farm.
I go into detail on the 117 engine, the performance, stopping power, comfort, practicality, and most importantly in this case, the bikes impressive ability to hide its 327kg weight and deliver impressive handling! I say something which is perhaps going to upset some people! Does it handle better than a naked bike?
This is because in the real world, in the uk with terrible roads, you simply cannot open up a naked bike 90% of the time unless you're on track. Whereas with this bike as it soaks up the bumps nicely, and is remarkable impressive in the twisties. I found it handled nicer than most of the naked bikes I've ridden in these conditions.
Here's a definition of good handling for any of you who disagree: Different riders will want different sensations from their bikes. And this is where the term handling can get a bit muddy. The general definition is that handling is the way a vehicle responds to the controls (steering, throttle, suspension and brakes).
