    Hi, given how you're trying to improve your ST ride, I'm surprised you didn't put in the Power Clutch from Meuller - especially as you've removed the whole clutch cable.
    BTW. When I had my ST, I had the same set of riser and the twisting annoyed me. At 182cm tall and 9.5 inches with the factory bar, I felt the height of the whole set-up was at the limit of comfort - for hard riding the set-up was a bit too high.
    As I changed the machine to an RG 24, I went with a Kraus 8 inch Riser and VTWIN ODI handlebars - no riser twisting 😉.
    Have a great day!

  • @metalsgarage

    you should always put upgraded bushings in when increasing the bar height since you now have way more leverage and those stock rubber ones will break down fast. you'll notice a lot of wobble by next season, minimum of urethane ones, solid would be overkill but some people prefer it.

      @@DaddyWarbucks713 Swapping to forward controls effectively neuters the ground clearance. A proper seat and set of taller risers (8"-10") got me comfortable without sacrificing the ability to really push the ST in sweeping turns. I went a step further so I could push a little more speed through turns by lifting the rear 3/4ths of an inch with an Ohlins HD rear shock from Big Bear Performance. Dialed the front end with their 29mm +2" cartridges.

    Hey great video! Noticed at the end of the install your riser/top tree alignment must have been crooked and the installer muscled the bars to move the riser on the bushings. Then it looks like he really torqued them down super tight. Have you had issues with them coming out of alignment still? I notice from time to time my bars are out of whack and I have to muscle them back into alignment. I ended up swapping to poly bushings and it still does it even with poly bushings. Solids on my dyna gave a lot of vibrations through the bars that I don’t want on my ST. What has been your experience so far?

    Hi! I have seen your risers progression. Don't you think that maybe a mini ape handlebar with the original risers or 8" risers that I've got in my bike would have given the same result or even a much more comfortable riding position? 🤔 For example, the apes that came stock with the 2023 Road Glide ST... This bike is designed for people with short legs and long arms 😅

    • @stretchman490
      @stretchman490 15 днів тому

      The biggest issue with apes is the amount of leverage exerted on the top clamp by a long one inch piece of pipe. Also, it's nearly impossible to get the gauge into your line of sight. T-bars, or risers and bars, are a much better option for more control, less flexing, and keeping the setup tighter and also, providing more adjustability. The great thing about t-bars is how tight they are. The suck thing is adjusting them, as they don't really move at all. What you got is what you got. So, risers and bars is the next best thing,. and are much easier to install, make minor adjustments, and swap if necessary.

    I love it, but if we're being real, complete waste to buy a low rider ST. You have essentially made a road glide. Easier to just buy that. Whether paid or sponsored, the cost is far above what a road glide goes for, and you get more features from the road glide. Unless you ABSOLUTELY Hate the Shark Fairing vs the ST fairing.
