This is literally unreal, mate. So jealous, ha ha. Moving house at the moment so that is all I have time for. It is what it is I guess. Keep up the good work. 👍
Apsolutely lovely. Brilliant. Sunset inversions are very very rare. I've only had 2 and it wasn't in a camp only hike. Man I'm envious. It's gonna be a long time if ever till I get out myself that high again, miss it. My achilis tendon is a mess 😭😭😭. Judt subscribed. Keep the videos coming. 🎉 Really enjoyed that video
Ahh I'm sure you will be back in fighting spirit soon !! I've been enjoying your videos this year nice to see dave with a little company too. I enjoy listening ro your knowledge of the Highlands!
Over the moon mate I must have about 30 minutes of footage but didn't want to bombard the video with it haha it was a great experience won't get one like that for a while
Fantastic video mate. Was up Bowfell on the 9th, beautiful clear day but that temperature inversion you had was something else, stunning! Have also recently read "the last hillwaker" good book, did you pay a visit to The Old Dungeon Ghyll when you got back down which is mentioned alot in the book? I did after my walk, don't think it's changed attall! Appreciate your tips aswell for wild camping, ie pegs and water filter in this one. Have a great camp next weekend and I shall look forward to seeing that video 👍
I have visited the old dungeon ghyll it's a staple amongst lover of the outdoors especially the langdale area. I haven't finished the book yet but it very relatable especially if you know the areas he writes about. Thanks for watching and glad it's of some use to someone ! All the best
Really enjoyed this video and could relate to it after my recent walk up to the Crinkles from Wrynose. I see you haven’t posted a video for a while, so hope all’s well with you and would love to see more of this quality.
Awesome camp! What a view the inversion looked epic. Apologies I didn’t get back to you I was having a tricky week. Managed to get out and camp on the Glyders on Sat in thick snow which was cool. I’m the same with water, hate carrying it and always wait until the last minute. I’m sure there was a frozen pool on the top of where you were captured in the drone video 🤙🏼
Not to worry mate we all have weeks like it totally understandable! Can't wait to see what you got up to in Wales. And you are right there was but the ice was about 8 inches thick haha no chance of getting through 😅😅
@@BooniesPeaks Haha glad you noticed it though. Such an epic camp for you though looked amazing. Keep me posted next time you’re out we’ll have to get a camp in as want to be out as often as I can now.
You know it was actually fine for me there was a couple of patches of ice but easy avoidable I didn't use the band I went up the gully left of it and up to the back of Blisco
Hi thanks for watching glad you enjoyed. The allak in wind is perfectly fine. Its needs a bit nore attention when pitching to make it capable but splitting the guys wrapping them and pegging out symmetrically it's pretty pinned 👌🏻 do you use one yourself?
Good idea thanks will have to try that 👍 yes I use one but struggled to pitch in 35-40mph winds up at dock tarn in the lakes last month, decided to bail as was getting dark. No doubt the tent can handle that just my lack of experience with it. Hope your next camp is a good one again, cheers
@jangojeffrey try this, peg out the base in all six corners, poles in then do the guys before clips. Once guyed out go for the clips and then re adjust the guys. This is probably the best way to do it with as little impact from the wind 👍🏻 good luck
Cracking idea never considered that. Out in Northumberland this weekend so will give that a go. Thanks again and good luck with the channel and future adventures
Cracking video- thanks for sharing. No better feeling than breaking through an inversion 😊

hi thanks for watching im glad you enjoyed the video. I only like camping through the colder season. I enjoy the solitude of the winter !

nice camp chief.. was up here a week or so back and it was a nightmare coming down the band, so much ice on the path.. how'd you find it?
You know it was actually fine for me there was a couple of patches of ice but easy avoidable I didn't use the band I went up the gully left of it and up to the back of Blisco
Great video and great conditions to be out in 👍 how do you find the allak in harsh winds? Look forward to the next video, cheers mate atb 👍
