I really like this video. 😘Yes, farmhouse is here to stay and it always HAS been here under different names (showing my age). 😂 Love the grain stripes, very homey. I call all of these tables 'console' because that covers everything. You can use a console as an entry table, a sofa table, etc. I'm from MA & moved to PA so I guess you could say I'm from the northeast. Great idea to add some glue to the lampshade, I'll have to do that!! 😃I keep lamps all over my shop as well, I agree with you on the coziness. Happy new year, Cory - I hope you and your family get better soon.
Cory...I would call it a sofa table, but I have traveled quite a bit all over the United States and have heard it called a console table and entry table. I am living in Southern California and a sofa table is what I would refer to as a table like that. The items in your shop look like they would fit in any decor style...good that you take that into consideration when you remake a piece of furniture. Blessings to you and your family. Stay warm and safe during these winter storms I hear we are having in the Midwest area of the country right now. 🤩💜🙏
I luv the table, and it fits all your descriptions for use. Luv your flips! You will be proud of me, I went thrifting the other day, and kept thinking would cory buy this at that price, lol. I did a quick vid on my haul. Gave you a shout out for my inspo to do it for my booth! Oh. Candles, how fun is that! God bless all of you in the new year, dar
Cory, a tip for the candle making. . . use the double boiler method. Rest your jug with the wax in a larger pot of gently simmering water preferably in such a way that the bottom of the jug doesn’t touch the bottom of the pot. The wax heats & melts more evenly, you won’t get that big lump you spoke of and you don’t risk overheating the wax on the bottom.
Cory you're very talented, enjoy your "ugly duckling challenge" I made wooden gifts for my daughters this year for Christmas and was searching for a large candle that I never found, now from this video I could've made that happen. Happy New Year and pray God will bless you and your family this year from us in NE Tx
Oh wow, all these projects were so awesome and beautiful. I really liked the green table and the lamp. I would have thought the table was worth a lot more, but hey, I’m not a furniture expert. It was stunning. My colors too.
Love all of your flips Cory! And that print is gorgeous! So glad you are doing so well with your boutique! Hope y’all feel better soon! Happy New Year! 🥰🥰🥰
Always enjoy watching your flips. I had RSV and a sinus infection in October and it took me 4weeks in bed and 6weeks before i felt human again. Rest as much as you can and do your breathing exercises to get the lungs stronger.
Loved how these all turned out. I especially love grain sack stripes. I just think it adds a lot to a piece. I’ve heard of tables like yours referred to as all 3. I think it mostly has to do where someone is planning on using it in their home.
Lovely piece. I think that it is an Eastlake piece ? From late 1800s. Called cottage pieces back then . You did such a beautiful job. Won’t it be interesting to see if any of our mass produced modern pieces will endure as these beautiful oldies have?
Love all of these flips. Table is perfection with the grain stripes snd those handles. I agree with others, farmhouse is not going out of style. The framed print is stunning. Feel better soon Corey!
I am sorry to learn that your family got RSV. That is challenging! Several of us got Covid but all are on the mend. Absolutely no running because of the clear coat!! So awesome.
Great job, Corey! The handles really made the console/sofa/foyer table look terrific, combined with the green and white. The picture is perfect in your house. What did you put on the print-mod poge?
Only designers say farmhouse is out. I agree with theperson who said "farmhouse" has always been around but under different names and slight changes in look. In the 40s early american, 50s+ 60s cottage, 70s primitive, 80s + 90s country, 2000s farmhouse, cottage etc. Today a bit of everything. I love it all. Love the table! Hope you feel better soon.
Wow table transformation was beautiful. I call those sofa table if placed at sofa, entryway table if at my entryway n so on. Lol I know I'm weird😊. All those flips are awesome. Really want to try the soy candle making. Wishing you n your family A Blessed New Year.🎉🥳
I would call it a sofa table! I absolutely love the stripes. There will ALWAYS be farmhouses, so I think farmhouse style will always be around. I think eventually it will be considered a classic look 😂
Love the grain stripe on table. Beautiful ! I was wondering when you showed everything, I noticed some spools with greenery on top. Is the greenery a candle ring ? If not ,can you tell where your greenery came from ? I so love it. I love all your videos. You are soooooo good .
You continue to Amaze me with your projects!!❤Everyone’s Home is different. My home has a rectangle foyer, so that would be too long. Same with living room-windows narrow (24 in across, but great height). Ginger chicken rehab does some things very similar. I be been learning A lot from both of you!! Also Rocycle. Ginger Chick. ❤🎉❤
Love the table flip. You really pulled all of the elements together quite well. But please be really careful with what containers you use for candle making. Not all glass can handle the heat when they're lit for homemade candles and they can explode glass shards if they overheat. I bought a homemade candle at a Fall Festival a few years back that was made with vintage glass and had this happen. Definitely scary. Thankfully no one was in the room and the candle extinguished itself.
Last year I went to a major furniture store in Phoenix and asked where I could see his console tables. The salesman was clueless. It’s definitely a colloquialism.
OMG! I just heard you say that you're in HOUSTON as well... Guess what?!?! I'm in Willis, one hour north of you.... I'd love to connect and learn from you. I need more crafty friends locally as none of my friends craft... I'll try to reach out on IG or FB ❤

Born and bred Texan 5th generation. I call them hall tables. I am sure you have discovered the tree spiders. If you walk under trees in Houston area, you may appear as a karate specialist. They are nasty. That hall table turned out better than I expected since it is green.
I've seen some black and yellow spiders between trees. Big ones. And then the other day I saw a black spider hanging on what seems like nothing in the middle of my yard so I'm guessing that's a tree spider lol
@@DesertDIY is that a decent price I guess you wouldn’t need to at least double that and more to make any money ! Just curious really looking on into something like this

I got some knobs at Hobby Lobby in their clearance bin for $.79. I got 9 of them for future projects!

FYI, Bay Rum is not really a “rum” it’s a scent that is used in shaving soap and cologne. It’s herby, citrusy and generally from the Caribbean.
Oh interesting. I didn't get a Caribbean feeling from the smell but it did smell earthy

Why did you put the modpodge on the print? to make it glossy?
