I have crocheted most of my life. I stopped crocheting Afghans because I didn't want them to end up unwanted. I'm glad your picking them up. Hopefully, someone will love them.
I have the baby blanket (2” x2”) that my grandmother made. I didn’t take to it but my second child did! She is 24 and has slept with it her whole life. Whereas my sister, now in her 50s, still sleeps with hers. (She says it keeps her neck warm). The small size and soft yarn made both possible. I say all this in hope it helps you. You never know when or by whom will love it.
@peggywright178 we will have them listed for our Saturday night thrift haul. Just before 8:30 pm MT. You can download the Jami ray vintage app on android or apple and you will get a notification or you can just check this link before 8:30 - jamirayvintage.com/collections/saturday-thrift-haul
I love that Afghans are being appreciated again. They kind of seem to go out of favor, and now that they’re back in it’s great to see all that work enjoyed!
I especially love that one quilt! And the pink chenille would be so cute as pillow covers!🌸 Why is it SO satisfying to watch you guys thrift?!😂 Great score on all the crochet throws!!!
Love you love the sunshine, im complaining when its 59 and sunny because im sweating haha and Lovin Zebs vibe today, "12 together 🤷♀️" and "just grab em all!" 😂
Thanks guys, these are my favorite videos of thrifting and coming home & showing how your going to transform them with repairs, paint, transfer etc. :)
Cute pink jewelry box! I love pink, I have a shabby chic pink and white bedroom. At the bins, I found my granddaughter a really soft pastel pink and light gray afghan. It’s large so someone worked really hard on it and it’s heavy too. .
You probably weren't looking for it, but you went right over when you picked up that teapot. With all the flowers on it right next to it was a antique sick white glask.Mixing bowl that goes to a antique mixer. The old, I can't remember the name of the old ones way back when when the first electric ones came out.I guess you're not looking for something like that, but it was a small one.Had a poor spout on it.I have the big one in the small one that I use in my kitchen all the time with my hand mixer
I painted a jewelry piece similar to yours using the pink and white wax plus stenciled the draws and then I stenciled the back with the craft kit floral stencil. Love mine. Except I broke a glass from the door while setting it on my dresser
You got some great afghans!! I too love Pink, thats my Color!! Audrey Hepburn said "I believe in Pink"💗 How much will the Pink jewlery box be?? Have to wait till Sat!🤗
I donated a collection of Afghans that my mother, daughter and I crocheted over the years. There is a homeless encampment in the woods a couple of miles from me. They really appreciated them. It’s a shame people throw them away
Once we paint them and stamp them they are just for decor. We have thought about using a food safe resin to seal them with. But when we do them currently they are just decor. We use cottage color in white linen because it he a built in sealer
@@cyndireed9164 we have wanted to do some projects with them. But we also love them as is. If I found books that were trashed with no value I would totally craft with them. I have made banners and such with old trashed books but it’s been a while.
On our website jamirayvintage.com. But this far Zeb has kept half of the ones we have bought. But we have sold a few that he had been willing to part with.
It kills me when I see you laying quilts and afghans out on what has to be a filthy floor. Gotta be somewhere else to spread them out to look at them without getting them dirtier than they may already be?
There is no where. Unless I want to lay them out over a bin which is impossible since people are searching the bins. They are fine. They touch the ground for a few seconds while I look and I come home and wash them.
Because I have no where else to check them. Would you want to buy something you haven’t seen? And all of these items have been on the floor when they sort them. So you might not see it. But it happens. Sorry.

Jami, how much is the pink blanket with the wholes?

Beautiful work
I am loving the copper over the red! So pretty. Jami, the lamp turned out great.
Love the pink color one of my favorite colors
I painted a jewelry piece similar to yours using the pink and white wax plus stenciled the draws and then I stenciled the back with the craft kit floral stencil. Love mine. Except I broke a glass from the door while setting it on my dresser

My husband just bought it for me. I will treasure it forever. ❤️
Nice job
I was glad to see your salvation solution rim had some rusty type edges. I poured mine into a mason jar
I have seen people clean theirs and then use plastic wrap under the lid to keep it from rusting. But I’m not that organized lol
Love this format! Great haul, hoping to get to my area bins today.
Great haul. Thank you.
We had SUN TODAY TOO.
Thursday, Feb 1st, 2024... in Oregon near Mt.

You got some great afghans!! I too love Pink, thats my Color!! Audrey Hepburn said "I believe in Pink"💗

i love your couch and loveseat. what is the maker? please
I live in puyallup Wa. There’s a DI about 5 minutes from me and it gets so busy but I love that store 😊
The welfare square DI always had a smaller yard area when I lived there.
I donated a collection of Afghans that my mother, daughter and I crocheted over the years. There is a homeless encampment in the woods a couple of miles from me. They really appreciated them. It’s a shame people throw them away
Are those metal chargers on the candlesticks. Love them
Yes galvanized chargers that we thrifted last week.
I love that frame and picture Zeb did but I think its sold
Yes it is. ❤️
Why do you paint everything in red before you add the copper color.
So the copper covers better.
How are you displaying the afghans you buy?
We fold them and put them on shelves
Bring me that baby grand please !!!!
What kind of paint do you paint your rolling pins? Is it safe to roll dough out with painted rolling pin?
Once we paint them and stamp them they are just for decor. We have thought about using a food safe resin to seal them with. But when we do them currently they are just decor. We use cottage color in white linen because it he a built in sealer
jamirayvintage.com/products/diy-cottage-colors-white-linen?ToPasteboard
How do you wash the afgans?
Cold cycle with an extra rinse and I put them over my banister to dry
What do y’all do with the books?
We sell them as is to collectors or crafters.
I wasn’t sure if y’all made something out of them. Y’all are so handy and creative.
@@cyndireed9164 we have wanted to do some projects with them. But we also love them as is. If I found books that were trashed with no value I would totally craft with them. I have made banners and such with old trashed books but it’s been a while.
I'm guessing these clay paints can't be used for outdoor items.
They can if sealed with outdoor sealer
Yay, Yahoo 😊😂
where do you sell the backpacks?
On our website jamirayvintage.com. But this far Zeb has kept half of the ones we have bought. But we have sold a few that he had been willing to part with.
Do you still have your physical store open?
Yes. 1190 N 500 W Lehi Utah

@@JamiRayVintagesorry not that 1.. the gray, white, and red stripped 1 that you're husband held up.
I went to the SLC bins last week and it was lame junk!
It’s hit and miss. But we always find enough to keep us going back.
1000x 🕊🐑
Not in favor of pink I don't know what kind of decor it would go for😊
😊👋👍
👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🥰🫶
Jami, you look awesome, have you lost weight? What's your secret? ❤❤❤❤
I have. I started with trezepitide for my blood sugar and I have to watch my portions. It’s been like 6 or 7 months but it’s been good.
It kills me when I see you laying quilts and afghans out on what has to be a filthy floor. Gotta be somewhere else to spread them out to look at them without getting them dirtier than they may already be?

Jami- why do you always open the afghans and quilts on the dirty store floors- GROSS (doesn't matter 'if' you wash them)!
Because I have no where else to check them. Would you want to buy something you haven’t seen? And all of these items have been on the floor when they sort them. So you might not see it. But it happens. Sorry.
