I'm glad you added those John Lennon touches, because that's how I've been playing sine 1967 when I first started playing guitar. Back then I learned it by sitting with my guitar and playing the song over...and over...and over.. Glad I was doing right.
Love listening to your lessons ! Great teacher. Will you be teaching one of my favourite songs by McCartney in the near future - Here There and Everywhere ? Hope so 🙏
You can play it by fingering a C chord shape without the D string E at the second fret quickly sliding up two frets then up another two frets and back down whilst picking out the melody. Gives it that sitar like sound.
If you capo the guitar such that the low E string remains open (upside down capo) you’ll get a nice droning E tone when playing the D chord shape. 👍👍. Nice tutorial! 😊
I'm gonna upload a video in a few hours of me playing NW in standard tuning in G using a C shape (without the D string sounding) sliding up to D then E. Gives it a sitar sound.
Hi Rob, awesome lesson as always, many thanks. Got a request for a lesson if you can possibly spare the time. Battleship chains by the Georgia Satellites, can't find a decent lesson for it anywhere, here's hoping many thanks again. keep on rocking ✌& ♥
please, please. please do a lesson on "thank you for talking" by Hall and Oates on their "Whole Oates album. A bloody lovely mellow finger picking tune. I know its a bit obscure, and not as commercial as their 80's stuff, but if you give it a listen, I think you'd like it. Anyway, here's hoping . Cheer's mate.
Hi Rob love your videos but on Norwegian Wood can't get where you put your fingers it's to fast, I am only just learning at 76. Any chance you could do another video but a bit slower so I can see your fingers Thanks John
Thanks for showing Lennon embellishments. That’s the way I want to play it!

I’ve done it. Have a look at my earlier vids. 👍🏻
Is this a re-upload? I swear I’ve seen this before. Maybe I’m just imagining it.
Oh -- I have seen it before. This is a re-do of a previous video. ua-cam.com/video/SxmImpmLo2o/v-deo.htmlsi=f22ygHyQcgVHYRTy Cool!
I did it a few years ago but the sound and vid quality was poor. I’m re-recording a few more from that era. 👍🏻
