I just love Dr Mcdougall. I would have to say Dr John Mcdougall and The Starch Solution is the foundation of my plant based diet. I love the basic simple idea of starch, with fruit and veggies. You cant beat it.

Same here. My friends all eat the SAD and have health issues of one kind or another. They always ask me what do I eat. Most of them say carbs are bad for them so it justifies them eating dairy and meat. 80% of my of my daily intake is carbs. I love this way of eating. It got me through chemotherapy 7 years ago. I was told if I didn’t do everything the oncologist told me to do, I would die. I only did the complete round of taxol and then surgery. I refused the rest. Guess what, I’m still here.

Low Protein Intake Linked to 32% Higher Frailty Risk in Older Women, Study Suggests
    Summary:
A prospective cohort study by Beasley et al. (2010) investigated the relationship between protein intake and incident frailty in 24,417 women aged 65 years or older over a three-year period. The study found that women consuming the highest amounts of protein (1.2 g/kg/day) had a 32% lower risk of developing frailty compared to those with the lowest protein intake (0.8 g/kg/day). The findings suggest a dose-response relationship, with higher protein intakes being protective against frailty in older women.

We joined a gym, I’m a successful McDougaller, made it to 20 BMI, but my husband still could lose 35 lbs. I got out there and walked 5 miles a day and lost the weight, it’s gone and been keeping it off.
I exercise at home if the weather is not fit for walking. But wanting to get the hubby to the gym, he does not like it, can’t get him to go.
The Gym’s Physiologist wants me to eat 60 grams of protein per day! I started to gain weight. I am 5’3-3/4”. My favorite food is POTATOES, but I do eat some tofu or cooked whole mature soybeans as per Dr. Neal Barnard, this deals with menopause Hot Flashes.
I went from 120 lbs. up to 127. I said “No Way”! She did judge my fitness level at 99%. I wear size 4 jeans. I’m back down now to 122, going to get where I feel best.
I do not think I need this many protein grams! I turn 71 on March 22, - yes Dr. McDougall and Chef AG and I all share a birthday!
My blood work numbers are ideal on the whole blood panels.
I am not looking to try to look like a lady body builder! Just want to be fit and well! Your diet is the best, love it!

None of the people mentioned in this video have a Ph.D in nutritional biochemistry with awards and honors or a Nobel prize such as Roger J. Williams, Frederick Gowland Hopkins, Fred Kummerow, George H. Whipple, William Parry Murphy, Edward Adelbert Doisy. The people who lived the longest in the best health get about 15% protein from their diet and he was wrong about Vitamin C as there is some in organ meats and raw meat. The potato diet has virtually no Vitamin A1, B12, D, E, K2, Heme Iron, Iodine, Selenium, CoQ10, DHA, Omega 7, C15:0, Oleocanthal, or Carnosine.
