Near me in North California there is a small town called Pacifica. I wonder if one of the writers for this show was from there or had a friend from there or something. Was the Battlestar Pacifica names after the California town? Was the Battlestar Columbia named after the Columbia university? Was the Battlestar Galactica an homage to Carl Segan's book called the Encyclopedia Galactica? Was the Battlestar Atlantia a slight spelling change of Atlanta Georgia?
I kept reading articles that a new Battlestar Galactica show is going to be made. I want a show based around a different Battlestar, maybe they could do Battlestar Pacifica and have them lead survivors to the planet Nibiru and later end the series find Admire Adama on Earth and one big finale takes place over Earth. The Cylons lost and go underground on Earth while the Battlestar Pacifica heads back to planet Nibiru and the series end there.
Remember unlocking extras where you see Benedict and Hatch recording audio. Starbuck and Apollo travelling back in time and meeting young Adama. Only bit of it was a cheat where you could get them as wingmen
I was thinking to myself, "Here we go again! Now we have to deal with another one of those poorly put together cgi productions" This turned out to be really, really good. Except for the really boring introduction by the female narrator. It is a shame that the film footage wasn't a bit longer. Apart from that, this is a job well done. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
The original was not based on humanity creating the Cylons. The Cylon war was started when the colonies stepped in to defend a neighboring society from them. Cylons were not a mistake of human technology or human failings they evolved in another part of the universe. Their mistakes created the machines and maybe the devil himself was inspiration for it. Its one thing to tell the story of cleaning up your own mistakes. A heroic quest is to watch good people suffer for doing the right thing no matter what the consequences.
If the original series had continued beyond the second season, the true origin of the Cylons would have been revealed and it would have connected with Ron Moore version, but the only difference would be when Galactica finally reached Earth they would discover that the Thirteen Colony which was Atlantis destroyed itself and the survivors were the Alien race in the white Ships and the Human on Earth were already there. Also the Cylons like the new series would’ve had Human Cylon models too. In the Battlestar Galactica 1980 series, one of the Human models make an appearance. Also the Human that turn out to be the Devil was the one who help create the Cylons which they turn on him and left Kobel the Planet before Humanity left that planet. Ron Moore took Glen plot outline and only updated it. There were thirteen Lords of Kobel and 12 betrayed one which became the God of Abraham and the three religions on Earth and the Cylons were created by the original Human with the Thirteen Lord of Kobal took a small tribe of Humans and Cylon Humans to the planet Earth. But some of the them rest on a planet called Nibiru before coming to Earth. The creator of Battlestar Galactica had his original outline of the series online years ago. If You look hard, it may still be online and Ron Moore only updated the story.
How could you not like it. Three fraking losers. I had this game and loved it. In fact I have had a longing to play it recently and decided to do that but do you think I could find it nope. Fraking raging. Can't believe I might have traded it in so am living in hope that I still have it somewhere.
18 years ago now and yet there are people on E-Bay trying to charge 50 odd for this. Are they out if there heads. It's not worth more than 2 odd at the most. You be lucky to get 1 odd from a games retailer or CEX for it.
THIS is battlestar, not that puny remake. They made extreme bad decisions in it. Shure some things went good and are even awesome, yet the original is unbeatable. Oh and 3 people disliking are toasters that know how the opening ended, with a complete toaster defeat!
One thing that was always magnificent of BSG was the music. Other than the disco scenes in the old 70s version...the overall music was outstanding.
Interesting. Original BSG, but with Viper Mk II's from Nu BSG.
Orginally this game was going to be the “Official” origin of BSG. Then Universal put writers to work to make the new show. This game was coopted.
Patrick McNee did it better
Awesome. I love the original Battlestar Galactica.
Amen! The reboot was meh!
I adore both the original & the reimagined series. Great Sci Fi
