Cable tv was the money maker for Hollywood that funded everything and that has been in decline since 2011. The decline has been accelerating with 2.7 million dropping pay tv in just the 1st quarter of 2024. They are on borrowed time and they know it. That's why so many of the don't care about the fans knowing they're losing their careers.
Over 20 years ago I was one of the people standing in line with my parents to see Attack of the Clones at the Ziegfeld Theater in NYC. We met Robert Smigel (Also known as Triumph the Insult Comic Dog) and we had such a great time just standing around and talking about Star Wars with people that we knew loved the series as much as we did
20 years later, this isn't the Lucas universe any more. This is some disgusting perversion of a once beloved franchise. It's actually heartbreaking to see what this has become

Almost 30 years ago (don't remember exactly how young I was, but I was very little) I met the actor playing the original Darth Vader at a mall (again don't remember if it was the guy voicing him or the body actor, I was very small). I wasn't super into Star Wars at the time, I don't think I'd actually watched any of the movies yet, but I did know about it.
When I eventually watched the movies, I was like "I've met that guy, I talked to him" everything Darth Vader showed up.

44 years ago, I stood in line with 4 of my friends and 2 of our parents to watch The Empire Strikes Back. To think we invested so much of our childhood into this franchise only to have a glorified secretary and her degenerate underlings ruin it really gets my blood boiling.

CASTING! Casting, Casting... When we were kids the cast of a movie looked "lived in". Gruff , dirty, worn. Actors looked like they lived experiences, actors looked like they "COULD BE" the characters. Now... every single person cast is a fresh faced, perfect skin, flawless clothing and features. its completely and totally unbelievable. Everything looks like the WB11/First day of school at a liberal arts college. EVERY character looks like they were yanked out of "high school the musical" which they probably were.
The theatre kid revolution has DESTROYED the art of storytelling, everything is a glamour project where hair and make-up is the most important thing on the set.

Seriously, the people that can make these things need to start to monetize this. Maybe they need to change some stuff to avoid copyright issues, but there's billions of dollars in revenue up for grabs for anyone that can that make productions that people will want to watch. The earliest people making this kind of content and figuring out how to distribute it will do very well.

When disney decannonized the books, it was over for the franchise. Then KK goes and completely fumbles the franchise with an unplanned trilogy entrusting that JJ “mystery-box” Abrams’ direct rip of A New Hope was enough of a foundation to withstand Ryan Johnson’s “subverting audience’s expectations” of a well written story. And whenever the movies inevitably fail. They break out the “our audience is to. Blame”. Whoever is handing the media needs to be subverted and jailed for such wide spread vitriol and defamation of all the fans.
The fact that they made me, a die hard since I was a toddler watching phantom menace on VHS, completely lose all interest in my favorite franchise of all time speaks volumes to what a joke disney star wars is.

None of them can know that the Sith are alive anyways, Mae is def going to kill Seoul before they get to Coruscant and that means no jedi are left and Mae and they might say Osha are force wielding murders who used Kelnacca's light saber to kill the other Jedi for what Seoul and the gang were hiding about the coven but Maes reason is because if they never came then the Coven would still be there and they'd be a happy family.

Mae kills Seoul to finish her hit list but then comes back to the "Sith" and although he wasn't meant to have his identity shown, I think they were both in on turning Osha to the dark side, because he left Seoul alive knowing he could get away and tell, while he didn't let anyone else alive and also Mae. But again, guess who shes with and who's the last on her list?

This is worse than destroying a franchise. Tolkien created a
whole mythology for England, separated from Arthurian legends, a mythology exclusive for England. Lucas made something similar, Star Wars was America, all the aspirations and optimistic horizons implied in the 80' North America. I live in Spain and at that time everybody wanted to move to America. A mythology is something that must be taken seriously, we cannot change it as we please.
They can't really destroy the original creations that made it great. They can only make crap that people will discard as trash. I love the original Star Wars trilogy and there is nothing that Disney can do about that.

In the entirety of the EU, there were two ( TWO ) female authors who contributed to two series of books that were to define the history and fate of the Skywalker and Solo families. These women were legitimate fans and the work was okay, but hardly Drew Karpyshyn levels of Bane Trilogy awesomeness. And, neither of these ladies were given book #1 privileges to set the tone of the series.
Frankly, I feel that women can't write exceptional Star Wars content and Trollface The HAGlund has done nothing to change my opinion on the matter.
