instructions unclear, cables ruptured and had to dodge 6 torpedos (2 of my own) for 45 minutes

@@CaptChang I panicked and activated the torpedos I shot at a terrible angle way too soon and "evaded" straight into them. that being said, I just picked up the game a week ago and became already way better thanks to this video.
I had some success by sinking all the escorts then picking the cargo ships off with Harpoons at the end. Not sure it was quite the right plan but it was fun.
If it works, it ain't stupid. :D

No matter what I do, I just seem to have them popping active sonar almost immediately.
Start FURTHER away. Use DotMod's options to add ADDITIONAL spawning distance.
@@CaptChang watched a couple more of your videos and survived :D I've found you were right about engaging at 10+ kilometers away was a huge help. Splashed an Alfa and a Victor III :D

@@CaptChang MAAAAAYBE! Too much IL-2. My only other issue seems to be evading and outrunning the Ka-25s. No matter how stealthy I go, or how deep, I need another 20+ minutes to evade them as I always get "aircraft near". Only advantage is their torpedoes seem to have a much shorter lifespan.
I guess most of this still applies to vanilla...?

I know who they are, but no, not sure why you'd make that connection. This channel ain't about food in any way, shape or form. They do make delicious food though. :)
