Hello and welcome to, Quertier's Top Tips for a successful Cold Waters mission. This Cold Waters tutorial will cover some basic points and how to be successful in cold Waters. I will Cover mission planning, Advance torpedo tactics and evasive manoeuvres as well as many other points. i use the new playable subs and more mod as well as the reduced visibility mod for this mission and use the Oberon Class submarine, Skipjack class submarine, and the alfa class submarine. Cold waters tutorial, in cold waters 1.09e, Patch 1.09e, Version 1.90e. I used several Cold Waters single missions to create this video. Funny Cold Waters. I do not play, but find the commentary and logical ordering of gameplay satisfactory!

I have just bought this game today after it went on Steam sale 50% off. I've had it on my wish list for a while hoping it might go on sale and finally it did. Thanks so much for this guide, I'm sure it will be useful for a total noob like myself.
I hope it's useful too. Some of the points are just trial and error bits, some are things I've been told by other players and some of the tactics are things I've read regarding real life submarine warfare etc

If i may add...when playing in the 1980's campaign...be very afraid of your own torpedoes (MK 48) lol

PS. Watch out for "MEGALODONS"! I saw a documentary about one recently! It was titled "MEG" ! The bastard swallowed the whole submarine!! ...or a catamaran - don't remember exactly! ...NO JOKING!... Those freaking things are SCARY!

Thank you for watching. I did nothing with the control columns. It's due to the 'new playable subs and more mod' that they appear as they do in the video.

Nice video mate still have not decided if I will buy this as I have not played a sub sim and I am not usually very good at RTS games.

It was due to the 'New playable subs and more mod'. The red UI is for Soviet ships. I did nothing to change it other than install the mod.
Slightly late to the party but i'm trying to get back into cold waters and I have one issue: you say to pay attention to the enemy ship's equipment and sonars, more specifically to their quality, but how do I know if this radar is better than that one? For now i'm just wikipediaing stuff but it isnt as clear as I wish it was
To be honest that is how I do it too. It's not ideal, might also get a bit of a feel for what ships are better suited at hunting you down etc. I also asked alot of questions about the capabilities of different ships on the cold waters discord
@@BaronQuertier Little update, some more youtube videos taught me what the numbers to the left of the signature tab meant, and have allowed me to have fun in a game that seemed less random. Thanks for your help, long live wikipedia!

This was recorded with the new playable subs and more mod, but recently i installed the epic mod and for now at least it is that mod which i recommend

i have no idea how to evade air.
When I fire torpedos I tern my sub in the opposite direction of the enemy in order to not ditect my from the big sound from the torpedo when it comes out!!!!!😉😉😉😁😁😁
