LDRC NSX - First Impressions + Servo Test

- LDRC NSX 1803 1/18 RC RWD DRIFT CAR - It needed some tweaking right out of the box, but not a terribly set up car. I added the Dasmikro v5 gyro immediately, since these cars essentially require an external gyro in order to drift properly. Also tested out the plug-n-play Surpass Hobby Servo... disappointed in its performance. Just stick with the stock servo!

It's interesting how well the stock servo on this one works...I had done the Injora swap on my RX-7 as per your recommendations and that made a huge difference over the factory wobble that it had. Wonder what the correlation here is, unless LDRC switched servos?
Thats a good point I hadn't thought of. I went back to my old videos and noticed the stock gyro wobble as well...
The NSX servo looks identical from the outside but I wonder if they changed something internally, because it is much better than the RX7 and AE86 servos
I got my NSX all I’ve done is camber / dasmikro gyro ….. it’s awesome not gonna touch it anymore lol!! My rx7 is still a hit or miss, about to reinstall the stock board back into it lol 😂
I wonder if certain gyros and servos aren't compatible?
I have stock servo and das mikro combo on my AE86 and it's great, gain is too much before it really wobbles.
But I have the surpass servo on my rx7 with an AFRC micro gyro and it wobbles less than the stock servo.
How this differs from the new diecast r34 model?
Great test, thanks for sharing. How would you say Dasmikro compares to RBRC gyro?
Looking forward to videos of you testing the extended wheel hubs with spacers. Real curious how its going to perform on front suspension with addition of the extended servo.
Im looking to try out your 3d designs for LDRC soon
I havent tried the RBRC gyro, so I cant compare the two. Not sure if I will put the extended hubs on this NSX as it already drifts great!
i tried the rbrc gyro that came from my 1/10.
it's not good as dasmikro/gt55, it's the same performance i get with agfrc v3.5 gyro though

But I have the surpass servo on my rx7 with an AFRC micro gyro and it wobbles less than the stock servo. Wasn't impressed with that servos speed though.
slow turn with what sensitivity? i use slow turn with 40% sensitivity so it wont wobble (with surpass servo btw)
Not sure, I didnt adjust the sensitivity when i swapped over the servo. If I had to guess it was around 50%
You got a link for the dasmikro. I need one my car is shipped this week
You find it on Aliexpress
it's much cheaper in their website
how does the Dasmikro gyro hold up in the rx 7, is it still the best one?
Yeah, I think the Dasmikro is still the best one
Is the gyro in the nsx better than the rx7?
In both cars I am using the Dasmikro v5 gyro
@@APEXRCGARAGE sorry I meant to say servo! Do you need the conversion cables or can I just cut and solder the cables?
@@nightzelmods Gotcha, I think the stock servo in the NSX is better than the stock servo that came in my RX7. Not sure why, they look identical.
You could try and solder the cables, but I've never done it! So I'm not 100% sure it would work
Gonna get the 1804?
Probably not, it doesnt look like much has changed!
Wait.... what?!
I told you so… dasmikro gyro is enuff😂
